Incredibly sweet episode. The energy and intelect that the new intern brought were wonderful. The moment with Booth and Sweets was perfect. Booth snarks at Sweets a lot as part of their joined persona, but this scene showed the tender place in his heart where Booth hold Sweets.
Brennan and Booth. Oh, the "Right Here, Right Now" scene was so sweet. Booth reveals something that's always bothered him - his connection to John Wilkes. Brennan tells him that he's everything she wants and needs and there's no place or time preferable to her than the time they have together. Once again we see the confident steadfast love she has for Booth. That goes a very long way for a man like Booth - and is one of many instances that makes their relationship work. She is always for him. He is always for her. It works! Very Sweet!
Next week looks intense! And as we have come to expect, I am confident #Bones will not disappoint!
Smacky Kennedy - FABULOUS NAME!!!! I was hoping the kiss was going to be because she was trying to stave off advances from another Derby Doll - trying to show that she really was into boys, not girls ... However, the request for a second kiss was hilarious! True Angela form.
I do agree that the aura around the hospital visit was over-played, though very in character for Booth - something he would actually do. I would have loved to see him later talking with Brennan about it in bed, as in many of the great closing scenes we've had this season. I LOVED that Brennan could quote the bible verse. That reminds us that she is intelligent - has invested some time in researching faith - and that she understands how important Booth's faith is to him. I love Ms. Wicker's suggestion of having the team help out with the carnival!
All episodes cannot be our favorite ... and they can't all be as intense as some of the other S8 episodes. We need this break, perhaps. Next week ... now that looks like a nail-biter and a tear-jerker. #Bones is sure not to disappoint.
Excellent episode. Just excellent. I was glad when she told Castle what she'd done. Excellent ending as well ... I loved Castle telling the guy he would have stood there and watched him blow up. Take that, douche bag!
Okay ... Angela ... you got some 'splaining to do! Keep your luscious lips to YOURSELF! LOL. Those lips are SPOKEN FOR!!! ; D
This causes a ball to form in my throat right now as I read it! Good job Booth! Very Sweet. If it were me, I would want to leave the part where Brennan falls into his arms in the recording. It's always a great thing for kids to see how happy and in love their parents are. Very sweet. I have a feeling this will go down on #Bones history as one of the best quotes ... next to the "Crappy Sex" speech from the pony play episode. Whew! Last night's was ifferent ... but still great! FIVE STARS!
i LOVED this episode. While I will always ask for more B&B screen time, this one did pretty well, in my opinion. As you've said ... a lot of what I love about them showed up tonight: the conversations where they reveal differing opinions and ideas, the positive influence they have on each other, the humor only they share, and the realistic affection. When she threw herself at him at the end it was so cute - and exactly the kind of thing that happens in real life. It demonstrates the ease between them.
I applaud the handling of Daisy and Sweets. That was done with great aplomb. Wasn't sappy or immature - and no one had a tantrum or breakdown. You could see Sweets was a bit emotional and uncertain, but he handled himself. When Daisy cried, it was done quietly and forlornly rather than outrageously. They seem to be ready to move on. Good job, all those involved in bringing that to the screen.
Now ... anxiously awaiting next week's episode!
Okay - first viewing ... fabulous! Be back later after I've analyzed the whole thing while watching it again! LOVED IT! Way to go, SN, HH, DB and ED!!!
Best thing on TV Monday night (or any night, for that matter!)
P.S. Above all, I was so happy that Brennan and Booth were front and center again ... just like they should be. Everyone else, go ahead and be as amazing as you can, but B&B are the gem in the center of the engagement ring. Doh! Bad analogy - but you know what I mean! : )
