  1. Glee Review: Take This, Dina Lohan!

Poor drama, obvious outcome to the football game (with about seven of the most ridiculous plot points ever in a "Big Game" story) I thought the songs were good....But I thought that the coverage of the Thriller dance number was AWFUL! Thriller made it's name on the choreographed moves of the performers. The edit was all broken up so you didn't get to see really any of the moves. Just piss poor.
The Karofsky thing...Well, at least they're committed to the story line, however ridiculous it is. They couldn't tie it up like this, without a Kurt/Karofsky faceoff. Also, consider this. Karofsky joined the dance number only AFTER he saw that it would be beneficial to him. He didn't learn anything that was One To Grow On like all these eps are. He just saw that he stood to gain.

I just fast forward through the Kurt stuff and the private school weiners. I find the character and the actor insufferable and I never liked private school weiners as a kid.

The Quinn and Finn kiss (I'm against cute name combos)didn't bug me. The kiss was fairly chaste, and I could see where she'd be all jazzed about him this week. He did pull off some cool stuff And, damn, who wouldn't kiss her back? The woman is ravishing.

I'm unconvinced that Sue Sylvester and the show's direction are a good fit anymore. She's still playing it as if the show was the fun creation from the first season. It's not that show anymore. It somehow thinks it's "serious" Sue is a great character, but how much room does she have left to expand? She just threw a tantrum that would have had any normal person giving her a slap...Coach Beiste could have pounded her into the ground like a tent peg, but she was allowed to go on. She was willing to KILL a cheerleader solely to entertain herself...How much broader can she go before it's just too far?

I'm like the review author. At this point, I'm in it for the songs. The story is a disaster.
  2. Community Review: "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons"

Pudi was fine...But he pretended to be a gnome for seven seconds and said he was a maiden... This is not an Emmy worthy performance. Chase may deserve one for the anger he portrayed in this ep.....But Pudi scrunged down for a little while and said stuff...big frickin' deal.

This show needs to hang narratives off characters other than Jeff and Abed. I have no love of Britta, but let's get a Britta ep!

And, of course... A REAL SHIRLEY EP!!!!!
  3. 30 Rock Review: That's So Gay Balls!

I go to this show, now, the same way I went to CHEERS back in the day....I'm hoping it'll amuse me the way it did in the beginning. I think the joke is mined out. If they keep on like this, then they're shooting blanks. I didn't get a laugh out of anything with the exception of the Kardashian thing....and I've never actually seen moving footage of any Kardashian....I've just heard about them on EVERYAMERICANMEDIAINEXISTENCE.

I, personally, think the show is played out unless they make a game-changer move. I got money sez Fey'll just drive it into the ground like her mentor does.
  4. Chuck Producers Shed Light on Role of Robin Givens

Funny logline considering this is about the worst lighting anyone can imagine (with the exception of underchin) for a pic. Certainly DID shed light on Givens...What a horrible shot.
  5. Blue Bloods Review: Who Do You Trust?

Yet again I ask....What does the actress who plays the wife thinks she's getting out of this show. SHe was great in Third Watch. Now she plays a cook.

The ep was really bland for me. I suppose that the subject matter would be more intense for New Yorkers....But I found Magnum's final speech laughable. It's all shock and awe in words...But really just lip service in action.

And the B story sucked the bag...It's too bad that the rookie gets his first pat on the back from such a lame collar.

I like this show, but I thought this ep was trying to push buttons just on subject matter, not on drama.

Dude, you hit on this one, I'm gonna kick your ass....This is the seventh temp maid this month!
  7. Community Review: "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons"

Oh, and Insulted Fan....The point of the episode was to tell a guy that being obese doesn't mean you're an unattractive loser. The appearance doesn't equal the worth. You're doing damage to your own point by being offended that Neil is heavy. Nice shootin', Tex.
  8. Community Review: "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons"

This was a terrific episode! It did something really interesting in that it showed a strange mortal struggle effectively, all through narrative (with one brief exception) This is exactly the point of D&D. That they used a member of the group, already considered unstable, as the "enemy" was genius as it gave all of the skeptical players a real foe to imagine was great. I shy away from heaping any kind of praise on Danny Pudi as I don't want to build a situation like over on BBT where one broad character gets all the jokes, but Abed WAS very funny as the DM. I love that the characters now don't need to retell their characters. Britta always champions the "beleaguered". No one has to note that she does, they just tell her to shut up. Donald Glover continues to knock every tiny scrap of lines they give him out of the park. He gets virtually nothing to do, most times, and makes it a show stopping joke. His dejected and confused "Huzzah" made me spew liquids. And his shocking inability to use his "additional notes" to great effect got a guffaw, as he was pretty confident he had those trolls in the bag.
Jeff is the perfect straight man. I love that he tends to do the right thing in spite of himself, often confounding himself in the process. And I feel for the guy. Jeff's explanation of his accidental nickname is plausible. I've seen it in action. I spent the first three years of High School known as Uncle Cosmo because of one stoner saying it ONCE to me.

Again, I lament the poor use of Shirley. And what's the deal with Chang? Is it in his contract that he can't make it through an entire episode?

Finally, the guy who had to carry the D&D stuff from his car....Is he a producer of this show or something? He appears all the time, beating out Starburns for appearances (RIP Starburns). Last ep he appeared without lines. Does anybody know what's up with that guy?
