I had really really high hopes for this show, being a huge fan of the original and not one of those 'I'll never watch US Skins 'cause that'd be betraying UK Skins'. It's just not delivering. Britne Oldford (the actress portraying Cadie) and maybe Rachel Thevenard (Michelle) are the only 2 people that I feel could actually act. Some of the dialogue is copied from the original, some of it is re-written which kinda screws it up for me.
There's no way that the actors from US Skins could compare to the UK actors, especially James (Tony) even though I'll admit he's beter looking than Nic Hoult. The only 3 characters I like are Cadie, Michelle and Tea. Cadie and Tea because they're original (Cadie isn't really like Cassie) and Michelle because the actress who played the original Michelle was meh for me.
Anyway, this episode was better, but was it Skins standard? NO.
I love barney ok? That is all. I mean I love this show (have loved it since it started) but ESPECIALLY the Barnacle. He's like the epitome of awesome mmkay?
I'm agreeing with some of the other peeps on here. I mean, I love Kurt and Chris Colfer and the whole gay storyline, but now it's just boring. Waaaayyyy overdone, not to mention Kurt is ridiculously stereotypical, sorry, but he is. I want more Brittany, Sue (the cooler, more awesome one), more of the other characters, even finchel!
On a lighter note, Suinn! YAAAAYYYY!!! I love them! I was aww-ing the whole time (even tho a promise ring is still kinda huge if u've only been dating for a few weeks).
I hate Dan/Marti, I HATE HATE HATE boy/girl being bffs then 5 minutes later they discover that they're madly in love with each other. BORING AND CLICHED. I really don't care about the adult love triangle thing.
The Kurt storyline...well, I mean it's easy to sit home and judge the episodes and what the writers did good and what they failed to do, etc etc, but I think they handled it okay. I know they do want to have an impact on society and all that but at the end of the day, it IS a show and a show's FIRST goal (not the only goal, but it is the most important thing) is to get ratings. If written 100% realistically, I think it'd be quite a bit touchy and not very interesting. Sorry, it's just my opinions on this. I'm looking forward to Blaine though, :p
It was good, not GREAT. Thank the heavens they're done with Dan and Marti now, THAT would've been a disaster, I'm praying they don't revisit that storyline again anytime soon. Naked pics of Alice next week, ooohhhhh! lol
I'm liking Beth, and the fact that she's willing to give up her virginity AND pretty much THREATEN a dude who jux got outta jail for murder tells me that she's willing to do A LOT. All for her mother. Blood sure as hell is thicker than water
