Season five was easily the least exciting season of Gossip Girl thus far. The acting and writing were horrendous this season. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley both look bored and would prefer to be filming movies and Leighton Meester (who I believe to be the most overrated actress on television) has been very bland. This show has dug a hole so deep that I don't think bringing Jenny and/or Eric back could save it or any other attempt could save it. I will not be tuning in next season. I don’t see the point anymore. I’ve wasted far too much time on this show.
Definitely wasn't a four star episode. This show is easily one of the worst on television now. The constant Blair and Chuck breaking up and getting back together has been sucked dry. Just have them get married already, I’m tired of all this.No one is likable anymore with the exception of Nate. He’s grown up; he’s actually more mature than the older adults on the show. As for everyone else; Serena is still selfish and idiotic, Blair is still acting like a bitchy prom queen who changes her mind every five seconds, Dan (who was my favourite character up until this season) still rides his high horse and is unable to admit that he's almost as bad as the rest of them and I was excited with Chuck's "I don't want to be Mr. Blair Waldorf, I'm Chuck Bass" line but that was thrown back in my face at the end. As for Lily I hope Ivy takes everything away from her, she the biggest child on the show.
I'm surprised no one said Karen from One Tree Hill. She was a great mother to Lucas, plus she was hilarious!
CONTINUED:Bonnie desperately needs to go. She is simply used as a pawn to move the story along. Her character is so bland and I've lost all interest in her. Even though I feel like this show isn't nearly as great as it used to be, I'll still be watching next season. I'm intrigued to see Elena as a vampire and although I'm not happy about the whole Klaus situation, I hope Trevino can pull off Klaus. He hasn't exactly proven himself as an actor yet, maybe this will be his chance to do just that.
Klaus as Tyler, seriously?! I honestly think that is one of the worst decisions the writers could have made. I'm taking this to mean that Tyler is now dead as Klaus' body was burnt. That is absolutely terrible. Tyler was the most redeemed character on the show and had certainly developed more than anyone else since the first season. The writers never gave Tyler's character a chance, he had so much potential for major story lines later on. I REALLY hope he is not dead. Klaus should be dead, I like him but he's not even a villain anymore. Bring someone new onto the show! This episode would have been far better if they introduced a new villain for next season. Elena becoming a vampire had to happen sooner or later but I felt it could have been done a lot better. It felt rushed somehow. The positive out of that situation is that no one will have to be running around to save Elena anymore which was the most irritating aspect of the show. Bonnie desperately needs to go. She is simply used as a pawn to move the story along. Her character is so bland and I've lost all interest in her. Even though I feel like this show isn't nearly as great as it used to be, I'll still be watching next season. I really hope Community is renewed for another season, I don't laugh at any other show as much as this one and I also need to see Jeff and Annie become a couple.
What a fantastic episode.I really want our favourite bromance to be okay. Ryan made the right decision by telling Gates and calling in for back up. Finally! Beckett and Castle. They took their time but they finally got there. Really looking forward to the next season now!
The end actually surprised me, I don't think I've been surprised by an episode of Gossip Girl since season three. But the rest of the episode was kind of bad, the story lines on this show are so boring and just ridiculous. Some terrible acting from Blake Lively didn't help either and Lola is the most annoying character ever... I'd actually prefer another season of Ivy instead of her. I was however happy there were some father/son moments between Rufus and Dan, there isn't enough of that anymore. Honestly I'll be glad if Dair ends, they're cute and I'm completely against Chair but Dan deserves better than Blair. All in all, an okay episode with a couple of good twists but I don't think I'll be watching Gossip Girl after the end of this season unless the season final absolutely blows me away. At the moment I don't enjoy watching it and instead laugh at the mediocrity of it.
Matt, obviously you weren't paying attention.Sylar was redeemed! Come on, it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out.
I just watched the series all the way through again and it reminded me how much I loved Heroes. Sure, it annoyed me sometimes especially during season three but it still kept me watching as the characters were just so brilliant. I would have loved to have seen it have a real ending as this show was all I watched at one point. It's a real shame.
