@ Alicia. Its a sticky business, being optimistic and defending the writing disaster that is TVD. I absolutely and positively think you've been drinking that "special" kool aid, but.......Bravo for being brave enough to stand up for your sinking ship girl.
This show amazes me to no end. The lengths they will go through to prove just how "important" Elena is to everyone around her is LAUGHABLE and is creating more and more unbelievably huge holes in the plot. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Bonnie have a mom AND another best friend who turned into vamps? Why didn't she show this much dedication in trying to de-vamp them. Why is she risking her life here and for Elena and not for Car or her mom back then????
Best look for Elena...in the best location too. Whoever has her looked up is doing Mystic Falls a huge favour. The brothers should just through her a blood bag or too a day and let her rot with her bland personality and overkill annoying virtues.
@Annie. I agree with you 100%. This show seems to be all about "over compensating" for Elena and Damon and they totally forget about the other very real characters that surround them. Even Stefan, as you rightly pointed out, has no plotline of his own. Yet he's one of the big 3. His rippah phase was so badly developed that I think they just abandoned it half way through the season. They absolutely refuse to develop the ones we care about...like Bonnie, Jeremy, Tyler etc. EVERYTHING IS ABOUT THE SACRIFICIAL BRUNETTE!!!! While they leave the others to rot. I mean who the HELL cares about Meredith??? REALLY

WOW!!! @ the last comment. Do you even watch TVD? Have you seen any of Paul's emotional scenes? Ofcourse the boy can act. The glaringly biased mistake that a lot of people make is they think Ian is a LOADS better actor than he actually is because he gets all the best lines and acts like a drunk, lovable, douche bag all the time. He's always the "misunderstood" one. Paul's acting skills are phenomenal for the role he's been given.
Congrats to her. I actually think she's a very talented actress and it showes when she's given good material to work with. She shines as the baddass and flirtatious Katherine. We can't say she's a bad actress because of her portrayal of Elena. Plec's to blame there, there's just no material for her to work with...ANYONE would struggle playing a Cardboard cut out.

THIS IS BLASPHEMY. TSC was getting reeeaalllyyyy GOOD towards the end. EFFF THIS SHIT TO HELL. How can they renew the TRAINWRECK named Gossip Girl and not give the up and coming Secret Circle a chance??? GG has dropped a million viewers on average for 2 seasons straight now, while Secret Circle had risen more than 20% for the final 2 episodes. It was really going strong in the second half of the season. How is that good reasoning????

@ Lizzie. Excellent post. Its nice to see people who post here with some actually cohesive and logical arguments. Mostly when i post along those lines i get some Elena/Delena/Stelena loving maniac who refuses to see that the show is circling the drain in the writing department. Its hard to find people who can separate bad writing and non existing character development from "attacking their favorite character or ship".
FINALLY.....Someone on this staff speaks out about the great big run around FAILURE that this season has been. There was absolutely nothing new about this episode. Tortured Stefan, check. Remorseful Elena, check. Lovesick Damon, check. Elena loving both bros, check. I was even suspecting the whole Original bloodline thing. I called that scenario since before the season even began. The only ray of sunshine was Bonnie turning her back on Damon, it was a natural response for turning her mom. Even if he did it for the pure and holy Elena. I also loved the Caroline/Alaric conversation. But all in all, total disappointment. Plec just needs to get her ass fired.
