  1. Modern Family Giveaway: Win Season 2 on DVD!

    Ditto :)
  2. Grey's Anatomy Giveaway: Win Seasons 1-7 on DVD!

Ouch! 2/5. 40%, Would still watch it if I won though!
  3. Game of Thrones Season Finale Review: Direwolves, Nudity and More!

    Incredible!

I waited awhile before finishing this season, partly because the amount of media attention spoiled some storylines (eg. Ned being murdered). So knowing even something made it difficult, and the other part was not wanting it to end.

Even though I'm on the Stark's 'side' I can't help but cheer for Dany, seeing her rise from the ashes was brilliantly done.

    Re: The nudity.
    - It's more artfully done then just there for shock value, this isn't a porno. It's a different time, like when young Stark boy saw Hugo(?) all white with his giant wang, it's simply 'go put clothes on Hugo.' Not screaming and covering his eyes.

Not in this episode, but over the season what really was hard to watch (for myself) was the animal deaths. 1 wolf, 2 horses was too much, really had a hard time watching that happen.

Definitely going to miss Drogo! That guy was pure bad-ass. Looking forward to watching him in the Conan movie.
  4. True Blood Review: "Spellbound"

Some of the Sookie and Eric lines were just hilarious! I can't remember offhand, but I clearly burst out laughing at somethings they said about each other, and how she started to suck his hand? Didn't make much sense, and I know now that it was a blood trip, but at the time it just seemed like somehow FINALLY they were back to touching on Sookie's fairyland adventure.

Jessica clearly has some built up rage from Hoyt so even if it was an imaginary scene, she definitely went badass on him. I wonder why Hoyt and her didn't co-sign for the house? Is she still considered under-age? (I assume she was around late teens when Bill turned her.) I was really hoping they moved past her being a re-virgin every day, that was gross when they discovered it, and still is. Glad Jason stood up for his friend first, his love second. I think that will change once he hears the vitriol that Hoyt spewed about Jess and her vampire ways.

How the might have fallen, eh Andy Bellefleur? From before when he took the 'credit/blame' for shooting Eggs, to on his knees almost eating a sun burnt vampire for a drop of blood he has done a complete 180, but if anyone can help ween him off the V, it's Jason Stackhouse since his witchy friend wants nothing to do with him I assume, as she's busy helping Antonia fight vampires.

Speaking of Antonia's silver wearing Crusaders - Will they stick around after seeing vampire justice? How cool was that! Nobody has actually put up a decent fight before to Bon Temps vampires. Sure, others have tried but Eric, Pam, etc seemed to be too bored to bother with the peons. Even King Russell and his were-puppies were no match (and admitted by pack leader since) for vampires. Was vampire Bill attempting to make amends with Tara? There's someone we can do without, she came back to town since her best friend came 'back from the dead' and now she's a witches #2 in a war against said BFF!

I wish this season was almost over so we could have some closer, but I don't want to wait until next summer for another season!
  5. Kurt Sutter Calls Out Matthew Weiner, AMC

That's what you're complaining about? Have you seen the ads that silenty echo the "sex sells" idea? I think it's a bit much myself, and I don't visit here from work internet as often but it's not up to me.
  6. Katey Sagal and Kurt Sutter Interview

Good interview! They seem very interested in chatting about the show and her character.
  7. The Killing Review: "Undertow"

That scene sure pointed towards him being unstable, it seems logical to assume it is him. Of course on this show, it would be anyone but.
~I realize the finale has aired, just haven't gotten that far yet.
  8. Breaking Bad Review: Now What?

I assumed it was Gus, but I don't foresee that being anything major. But on this show, who knows what ends up being a big deal!

This episode was full of hopeless from all the characters. Obviously Jesse/Walt, but Hank's wife (Maria?) getting tossed out of their bedroom after he had a great physio day, Skylar getting laughed at by the car wash dude.

Such a round-a-bout way (again) of showing how Walt's actions have affected everyone close to him.
  9. Sons of Anarchy Review: "Caregiver"

Wow.. I wrote my first comment back in September. I hadn't watched the show then, but I just did now.
Hilarious Mr. King! Couldn't believe him when he started to feel up the woman.

Wondered if they kept the child because they didn't want to admit to the Sons something about Cameron, doesn't make sense though since they planted his body in a public area. :/ Can't stop watching...
  10. True Blood Review: You Killed My Godmother!

Worth noting that the scene where Sookie was reading a book, I think when Eric was gone, and she had the house to herself the author of the book was "...lene Harris" which is of course the author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels! Interesting little tidbit.
  11. The Chicago Code Review: "St. Valentine's Day Massacre"

Hey Reviewer, not sure if you ever check back on these but to comment about your Q. Here in BC, Canada it's recently been legislated that anyone other than a peace officer (police, jail, etc) can not wear or buy body armor/kevlar.
  12. Franklin & Bash Review: Last Call Pretty?

If they can keep up with the cases like this one, I think this show has a real shot.

Very off the wall, style, but yeah their 'grid' guy was kinda strange storyline. Though, I thought Stanton was going to hit on the Chinese hottie with that look!

Very funny episode, and woah the women in that magazine's office were unreal beautiful
  13. Modern Family Season Finale Review: An Insult to Gloria

Hmm, if this show ends up being like Friends and runs for 10 seasons, I think we'll be okay. ;)

I laughed hysterically during this episode as I do almost every single one, so I'm a hard person to judge comedic gold.
  14. Law & Order: Los Angeles Review: "Big Rock Mesa"

This was a bit of a pleasant surprise of an episode. Usually when there is a semi-big name actor (Lee Tergesen) in a L&O episode, 99% of the time this person is the accused.
At the end of the court case, I was firmly behind Patrick thinking he was in fact in the right. They didn't prove that he was actually angry, not frightened. A month previously his wife gets surprised and accosted in her garden, add in the multiple complaints to the police with no reaction, I believe it.
3 sooty, dirty people have kicked in his door and for whatever reason are sitting in his garage to "get warm"? Instantly his back would up against the wall, no matter who is there. Wouldn't been interesting to see if he would've opened the garage door instead of the young man coming at him.

Either way, good episode. Nearby in Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada there is a gigantic forest fire out of control. Scary to put yourself in their shoes, and what would you do?

PS. If the woman had picked up her cat & kittens when they were told to leave the valley, nobody would have died!
  15. Castle Season Finale Review: Game Changers Galore!

Hey Nicky! - Not everyone has watched those season finales, why spoil it for everyone!!!
  16. Smallville Finale Review: The End of an Epic Journey

Words can't be said about how happy & exciting that finale was. It touched bases with everything!

    - Perry White's "Great Ceasar's Ghost!" was awesome to hear.

    - Oliver didn't have a lot to do with the end but I'm okay with that. With so much they wanted to bring back for the finale (characters, storylines) there wasn't room for everyone. Even though Michael Rosenbaum did get a huge amount of screentime I didn't expect that.

    - Can't say enough for the two main actors, Clark & Lois. Great acting, I believed their vows were to each other. I imagine the Vancouver/Langley area will definitely miss them and the cast.

    - Jimmy Olsen 2! Awesome cameo by his 'brother'. Very memorable way too, showing he still can't take a good action picture of Clark.

    - The ending scene of Clark being so clumsy, he's got that down to a T.

Favourite show, loved the ending totally will miss the series!
  17. Law & Order: Los Angeles Review: "Runyon Canyon"

I'll keep watching it, surprised I enjoy it still after they killed off Det. Winters.

I thought the killer was definitely plausible, there was a murder within the last year involving a man from a dating show, I can't remember his name offhand but the victim (his girlfriend) was identified by the serial number in her breast implants when she was found out in the ocean. He ended up running from the police, and finally was in BC, Canada where he committed suicide in a hotel room.

Just think that could have been another angle they could have gone with the "ex-dating gameshow reject".

Interesting episode regardless, hoping for more from this team! Lieutenant got some screentime this episode too eh.
  18. Dave Grohl Doesn't Like Glee, REALLY Doesn't Like How Ryan Murphy Reacts if Band Turns Down Glee

For those agreeing with Dave Grohl, remember he's not slagging the show he's just slamming Ryan Murphy.
Why are you saying that Glee is garbage?
  19. Glee Round Table: "Original Song"

Actually, Kathy Griffin's character was a shadow/copy of Christine O'Donnell. She was on a talk show and mentions (years ago) that she used to dabble in witchcraft, and other crazy/hilarious things. Loves Twitter, and thinks Obama is a terrorist.
But I can't see why bother having her in the show.
  20. Chuck Review: A Turn to the Dark Side?

There's so many sub-characters I don't think it's necessary for the two doofus' to have a storyline every episode lest they be overused.
Awesome hasn't had much storyline either the past few weeks, and that's okay. Granny Bartowski has been away this and the previous episode too. If they don't have a good plot for any of the above characters, don't just throw them in so they get some airtime. It was pleasant to see Big Mike with a few lines about bopping Morgan's Mom!
  21. Blue Bloods Spoilers: The End of the Blue Templar

I don't think they've focused enough on it, especially since their airtime dates are so scattered it's hard to keep track in a running storyline such as this.
Hoping that Jamie brings in the old man, or Grandpa to help him finish this particular plot line.
  22. Blue Bloods Review: "Dedication"

    I like your question.
I can see something with regards to Jamie being threatened in response to his questions about the "Blue Templar" from the sleazy looking detective really pushing him in that direction.
Basically it coming down to something or someone hurting his family, eg. ADA Erin getting assaulted and him shooting the guy in the forehead.
  23. TV On My Terms: Good vs. Glee-Vil

Interesting comparison, but I think the wrong demographic for NOF.

That being said, I quit after the first 3-5 episodes but reading your rant/blog about it, I'll have another look at this show!
  24. Glee Review: Lots of Luck, Santana

Too much of Blaine and the Warbelers, one song from Kurt, Blaine, and then another at the end? Kurt left Glee club so keep him out of the show.
Or actually make sense with their stories. Though I did like the blonde hair guy turning down Blaine, just because he's gay does NOT make him outspoken, or flamboyant, he had no right to embarass someone else like that.
  25. The Mentalist Review: "Red Alert"

I compare this show to Castle a lot, and one big thing Mentalist has in it's favour is Robin Tunney compared to Castle's lead detective.
