This show's 2nd season has been superb! No sophomore slump here! Having Jonah & Greg at the helm is the icing on the cake. All of the actors have taken complete ownership of their characters. The writers have the interaction between these great characters down perfect, using each actors own personality to 'flesh out' each character. I am still in awe at the casting genius of Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson......flawless! The continued hints about the over all story arc is done perfectly....even if just mentioning the name of a recurring villain like Reese mentioning Root during Shadow Box. This is what GOOD TV is all about. And as the viewer ship #s climb.......it's obvious more & more people are discovering what a great show this is! I count down the hours from one Thursday to the next!
I thoroughly enjoyed this eppy. Backstories are always great to see how a character became the person they are today. Writers did a great job fleshing out her character and giving her traits for Reese to admire. Love seeing Reese on the bike & kicked ass the way he does. Next week looks like we'll get some more about Reese's backstory and I can't wait! Love this show & the perfect pairing of Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson! They are the Dynamic Duo and Carter & Fusco round it out nicely!
Thanks for the info Wiseguy, about the filmed episode order vs the viewing order. FOX is notorious from telling producers/directors etc when to run what eppy. Usually totally messing with the story line & the character development. Case in point: Firefly. Shown completely out of order & eclipsed by the World Series. Hopefully Zooey & company can hang in there. I laughed till I cried last niter at Zooey trying to say THE WORD! So many different descriptions too.......many I'd never heard of!
I still do not get a warm fuzzy with Lori/Lauren. I can't make up my mind if her 'wooden' acting is a put-on as the 'all business' profiler or just she can't act. Then she seemed to loosen up talking to Chin but it was so fake........too much 'difference' between that & her regular demeanor. No fault to the actress.....she came into a perfectly cast show as an 'extra' and she's got an uphill battle to be accepted by the fans.
I have a few questions & point to throw out there:
Elijah knows how to save the doppleganger.......was Katerina 'saved' when she was turned, if so, who turned her.......Elijah? Elena never asked HOW she could be saved, or if she did, we didn't see it.....is Elijah going to try & turn Elena to save her from Klaus?
The story of Klaus & Elijah is being replayed as Stephan and Damon...IMHO. There struggle will duplicate/copy what went down with Klaus & Elijah....over Katerina/Elena.....ergo History Repeats Itself.
I'm use to the OMG moment at the end of each eppy......but this one had multiple OMGs from start to finish..........left me gasping for air!
I'm not a fan of Diddy........but I thought he did ok. His acting was kinda uneven......at times very stilted & fake....and yet late in the eppy he seemed to have found his character's 'center' and really turned it on.
Alex & Scott are a great tandem....look forward to the repartee every week...and they never disappoint. The whole crew has done such an wonderful job bringing these characters to life & bring H50 into the 21st century. The actors & writers have converted many old show fans into new show fans.
WOW.............that's all I can say............WOW.........finale had it all..........made you laugh, made you cry, made you angry.......but mainly made you WANT MORE !!!
