it's a shame the writers have screwed up Andrea so badly. She's one of the best characters in the novels. Here she's just a waste of space and I keep hoping she'll trip and fall and become zombie bait or something.
I've read the novels, so trust me when I say it can get a HELLUVA lot darker, if the writers want to take it there. For the most, I think they've only been following the novels in broad strokes (like True Blood). I for one hope they don't follow too closely, as it makes the series more enjoyable not knowing exactly what's going to happen.
I didn't see this coming at all, and actually I think you didn't either. I love the fact that they brought in a a character, that has his own Dark Passenger, and I thought the reveal was well handled. That's just my opinion. (OH, and by the way, I figured out Sixth Sense - which left clues all over the damn place, Dexter didn't !)
It was billed as being heavy on the Caskett scenes, so I was very disappointed that they spent the majority of the episode apart , as Castle gave Beckett the 'space' she needed to heal. I'm not saying it wasn't a good episode, Stana Katic knocked it out of the park. She was superb, showing a woman who usually is always in control, spiraling, as she tried to deal with fears that she hadn't realized still haunted her so deeply. If they had told me this was going to be an ep centered on her, I would have given it a 10 out of 10, but they billed it as having this big revealing moment between Rick and Kate. In the end, the revelation came to Kate, while she was with her shrink, taking away some of the impact. 8 out of 10 .
I was really amazed by Esposito in this episode, he stepped up as the 'big brother' that Beckett needed. I loved him in this one.
how could you not remember Kevin? Are you sure you're a fan of this show? I'm not sure why they brought the character back, but let's see what they have in mind
I was worried, skeptical and worried :) that they would screw this up. Season 6 for me was the weakest in the series by far, and I prayed they would get Booth and Bones back on track.... HOORAY! With the exception of the murder case, which at this point, nobody really cared about, the episode was Pitch Perfect. Hart Hanson has kept his promise (so far), that the characters would keep being themselves, even though they had taken this big leap forward. I am so looking towards the rest of the season with my new found, renewed faith in BONES!
the biggest plot hole i could see was right from the onset. If I'm not mistaken, don't badges carry ID nos. on them? In which case it's not necessary to ask Tony who he shot, all u have to do is look up the bloody badge no! Honestly it really doesn't matter to me as NCIS has always just been mindless fun for me to watch. Like CSI I just don't take it that seriously.
In the hands of a lesser actress, the show would have fallen flat. Emily VanCamps handles the emotions of this character perfectly. She's not over the top and her changing emotions are very subtly handled. I love Madeline Stowe and always have and I look forward to seeing her in the role of villianess. Being a huge fan of the Count of Monte Cristo, I am very much looking forward to where this series goes and hopes it's success will continue
The first thing i noticed about the new season of SVU, was the camera work. Everything felt new and 'clean'. Not just the office space but the way the cinematography was handled, usually SVU has a gritty look to it, which really helps to depict how dirty and horrible these crimes are. I'm not too fond of the new sterile look but I'm willing to give it a chance. I was REALLY hoping that Stabler/Benson relationship, and his leaving would have been handled a bit more intimately (maybe with one of their talks). I knew it was coming but it didn't make it any easier, especially with their choice for who will be replacing him (thumbs down). I'm willing to give Rollins a chance as I loved her in CHASE. Guess it's too early to tell, will have to wait and see.
Community,Big Bang and Modern Family are the only comedies I truly laugh out loud at while watching. I'm so glad to have this show back. I love every character in this show. My favs being Phil,Gloria and Cam. My only peeve with this show is Claire (who I can only stomach when she's on screen with Phil). I know it's how the character is written and kudos to the actress playing her so well, that I want to take a drill to my brain every time she opens her mouth.
I could not look away from the screen. Ringer had me hooked from the moment Siobhan secrets kept unfurling like a bad rug. SMG is amazing in this role and I'm really looking forward to the rest of this season. Strong opening indeed!
watched the premiere episode of Two and a Half Men last night, and I must say I thought Ashton Kutcher did a great job. He wasn't over the top, but still managed to be funny and engaging. I will be honest and say I never really watched the show religiously, as I find the guy who plays Charlie's brother hideous. It's like he ran through the ugly forest and got smacked in the face by every branch, twice. So I'm looking forward to this season. Also 2Broke Girls was LOL funny
would've preferred if she was a love interest for Gibbs. Ducky is cool, but I really don't care about his love life. Then again, Gibbs prefers redheads!
@Meg - if Martha and Beckett's Dad got together that would make Castle and Beckett brother and sister.. not cool.
Great poster , great premiere episode and is it just me or has Castle put on some bulk/muscle this season?
Loved the premiere. We all knew they weren't going to address those 3 little words directly, but I kinda knew Beckett was lying when she said she couldn't remember. She freely admitted in this ep, that she was not ready for a real relationship and Castle being the chivalous guy he is, is willling to wait.
What I'm looking forward to this season:
More Lanie/Esposito
More Castle/Beckett moments as only these two can pull off
Development of Alexis/Beckett. These two were very good friends, but now Alexis looks at Beckett as the one putting her Dad in danger so we will see how that plays out.
What new twist they can come up with, in Beckett's Mom murder (Also, her reaction to Castle hiding this new info/lead from her)
While I'm happy for both Angela and Hodgins and Booth and Brennan, I was really let down by how poorly the reveal was handled. After an angst filled season with the love triangle of B B and H. After waiting SO LONG for a proper Love Scene between our two stars, All we get is "I'm pregnant and your the father" .... Booth smiles... fade to black..WTF! NO hugs , no kisses NOTHING!.. sheesh.. They better get it right next season, or I think I'll stop digging BONES and join the CHASE permanently. FYI It IS possible for a couple to be together and the show still keep it freshness, take a page out of the BURN NOTICE book. :)
Henry V was a womanizing, wild party boy until his dad died and he took up the mantle and shocked everybody by becoming one of the best kings they ever had. Who knows, Jason might shock the crap out of everybody.
Go with an unknown. One of the reasons I find these characters so engaging, is that I don't look at the actors playing them and think "Hey I know that guy/girl from..."
