Not to take anything away from your choices but Christian Kane should rank #1. Regardless of the criteria you used to select your favorites, I am sure Christian scores high in all categories...he is a singer, songwriter, actor, stuntman, cook and looks great in whatever he chooses to wear...long or short hair, jeans or suit and tie...Kane is a hero and he is hot! Thanks for including him on your list as Jake Stone.
I think Greg German's character as Assistant Director will re-surface. There is no way a man so obviously unsure of himself got to that level...always thought something was up with his role...he was up to something...also, I think McGee's father is set to appear again...a very confusing scenario...fans are in for a crazy ride...if Ziva dies or leaves, my husband is done with the show...and he is a dedicated NCIS fan...I'm more worried with what changes are in store for Gibbs on a personal level...would hate to see Leroy Jethro Gibbs change. Mike Franks will see him through whatever he has to face...love Muse Watson.
Loved all the sublities of this episode...Abby breaking through to Vance, Tim jumping too quickly to tell everyone her friend was NOT her boyfriend...Vance pranking Tony...Gibbs calling his dad...Dorney with is nose screen...makes them all human...while I love action episodes, we all need a lighter one once in a while. Nice change of pace.
Tony's bed is probably a corvette kids bed...so can't wait for McGee and dad episode...fans have been waiting so long for a serious McGee episode...may also help clear up the Abby/Tim relationship...and put some perspective on his relationship with Gibbs...he is the only one without a defined attachment to Gibbs...is Jackson going to make an appearance around the holidays...he is the best!
Please don't let this be another 'stretch' episode...it will be a stretch finding a way to involve Diane in an NCIS caper...she is a fun character but there are so many issues fans wish would be addressed...and then there is the McGee factor...he will end up being the butt of jokes...and there are so many questions about his character that would be fun to explore...NCIS is such a complete show on its own...the more we see of second string recurring characters the less time for others...where is Kort...what happened to Franks' family once they moved to DC...what about McGee's family...so many threads yet to be followed. Hopefully, many of those issues will be addressed this season. The best show on the planet!
Also waiting forever for a Tim-centric episode...bringing on the ex-wife is a big stretch...just hope Murray gets to use his acting chops and he isn't simply a 'set gag' for Gibbs, Fornell and DiNozzo. I would rather see an episode based on the relationship between him and Abby...need to clarify it. To make up some lame excuse to get McGraw back on the set is exactly the scenario that will make NCIS an ordinary scripted show. Come on writers...you are the best in the business...pick up the pace and stop recycling former guests. Before you know it, we will be subject to another Jamie Lee arc and then I just may be done with my favorite show.
I hate to say it bit this was the only, and I mean only, episode that left me a little empty. A very long road to bringing Ducky back to autopsy. I liked the additional humor as it such an integral part of the show but it lacked something. I was very disappointed at Des Barres' role...so limited. They built his guest role up so much I kept waiting for him to surface and it took 50 minutes...what a waste of a talented, fun man. Hope my favorite show picks up the pace a bit, gives Tim something crazy to do and keeps Gibbs away from women for a while...basement, bourbon and ???? is enough for him.
I think it is time to give the viewers a couple of 'Tim centric' episodes. Abby, Ziva and Tony all look to Gibbs as a father figure but I have never sensed that from Tim and he could use one. I would also like to see an episode detailing the roots of Abby and Gibbs' relationship. I just hope this turns out to be as good a season as any...once it starts to slip or show signs of wear, one of the stars will bolt (probably Weatherly) and it will fall apart...that is a problem with ensemble casts. Great guest stars lined up for the beginning of the season. Hopefully the writers will leave Gibbs' love life alone. The man has set his own destiny and needs to be alone...at least let him catch his breath before they have another woman break his heart.
Michael Des Barres was a recurring character on the Macgyver series...scary, nasty character I always looked forward to seeing...he should be a blast and a half...and the guy can rock!
I couldn't agree more, Eric. Not only has the Ryan arc run its course, but I'm not sure it was worth the time. JLC is cool but it was an awful lot of crazy to get Gibbs a girlfriend. Her character took too much time away from the cast we want to see. Why would a man like Gibbs, who trusts no one, be interested in a head banger who takes great pride in screwing around with people's minds? Made no sense from the beginning. He should have sent her packing the first time she came on to him. I am sure we will see her again as she and Harmon are personal friends and he will have a lot to say about what happens to the character. If we must see her again, I just pray they lay off the kissing...she looks like his sister and it is creepy. Who the heck paired them up in the first place...awful move.
