It would be nice if they stop bashing Blair's character and turning Chuck into a grandpa.
Less Vanessa, more Eric and Jenny.
Less Bree and guest stars, more Nate with the freaking NJBC.
... great more Vanessa ... are they trying to make us watch today or kill the show?
are their pr or marketing guys so blind that they can't see that the majority of GG fans can't stand Vanessa???... Getting an overdose of her is not helping at all...
Love the banner... not a fan of the layout... the white in particular, it's not cohesive with the rest. And I'm having the same problem that iamseleena with the disclaimer.
OMG BART !!!!!!!! ... It seemed like he was dead forever and it was only for half the season. It was supper weird to see Robert Burke (the actor who played him ) act so un-Bart like lol.
I really liked him, wish they could bring him back, GG goes zombie... there you'll have a WTF moment.
And Desmond Harrington was there too... it was good seeing him, Uncle Jack was gone far too soon for my likings.
Then again I guess I have a weak spot for the Bass men.
Leighton and the sneeze was made of WIN ... and Ed ranting with his British accent... it's amazing how he goes back and forth between it and his Chuck's voice.
Maybe she comes to drag Vanessa back to whichever hole she came out from and free us from her insufferable presence.
I have nothing against Jessica, but Damn does Vanessa annoy me. I wish the writers would stop trying to force-feed us this crappy character, and her even crappier meddlesome storylines. So ok you guys tried long and hard and we’re still not swallowing it… just give up! Please!!.
Glad to hear it ... now the only thing left is for the writers to get Blair back in character... she did enough groveling last season. I want my Chair as equals. Bring the sassy queen B back !
People remember she's a human being; she has the right to have sex and film it if she wants to. What happens in the privacy of the room should stay there, and nobody can judge one’s sexual preferences.
They said it was when she was younger, so she had no reasons to be super paranoid about it, even less if she was with her current boyfriend.
It's a shitty thing to happen and it's sad that it could put a damper on such a talented actress' career. I hope she deals maturely with it and weathers it out.
... I honestly can't understand how some people think that Chair as a couple will be boring ...
At the beginning of season one their scenes together as scheming friends and their banter were great, and before the writers decided to drop all the drama on them, their conversations were the ones that brought playful lightness to GG.
They would be the scariest power couple to ever grace the Upper East Side. And they are NOT Derena. We don't need to see them being all dovey lovely, bring out the innuendos, the harmless games, the scheming, the fights, the ultra hot make out scenes...
And they also showed us that they could be supporting of each other and loving without being out of character or corny. Blair had his back and he's always there for her.
There's so much that was left halfway done, like Blair's bulimia and Chuck's issues with his mother dying in childbirth, and there's NYU and Bass industries, and society ( remember how badly reacted those women from the colony club to the Bass name.. picture and Eleanor meltdown, and Blair finally stepping up to her ), and Whoregina is still in town...
If the writers can't find a way to make them work as a solid couple they should think about a change of career.
The writers and producers of Gossip Girl should get one message crystal clear... We want Chair together and happy.
They've already pushed the coupling to its limits and only got away with it because there's not denying Chair is epic, and the fan base loyal to them. But there's so much abuse fans can take. I don't think there'd be many Chair fans left if they decide to keep on the ·let's see how much and in how many random ways we can fuck up their relationship· direction in season 3.
And it's true that there's more to GG than Chair, but their fans are the biggest base of viewers. I just hope they care enough about the show as to not try and find out how it goes without them in it. I'd be a shame if it gets cancelled.
And come on ... Chair will be the UES' power couple, they were amazing when they were just friends at the beginning of season 1 ... so now that if they become a couple you'll have the plus of their uncharted sexual tension, and their hot make out sessions ... how can it get boring? ... And then it's the fact that both characters stand alone, they are great individually.
Besides really, we didn't get to see them go through couple's problems, no awkward dinner with the parents ( I can just picture Eleanor glaring daggers at Chuck, and his horrified face if Cyrus gets to hug him and say his catch phrase, and some pretty steamy scene if they sneak a moment to the kitchen, probably 'cause Blair has to berate him for some inappropriate comment or groping under the table ) ... They going shopping together, with their fashion sense and temper... petty arguments that can be solved with a kiss, a very useful trick to shut the other up in their usual witty banter... Chuck has the whole taking over the company thing; he can have a whole new playground to plot with her... Blair has NYU to take over too... Special dates, like valentine's day, where Blair can freak out and Chuck can surprise us with his utterly romantic side... and so on.
These may not be brilliant ideas, but I'm sure that the writers that do this for a living can come up with something.
And if steady couples were such viewers killers, there'd be no programs about married ones.
