This promo made me very excited. I think it was the dramatic music lol Im looking forward to seeing it all play out and hope it lives up to the hype and that the writers don't decimate chair and give us a satisfying finale!!!
I get that the writers need the 'drama', and theoretically I'm fine with the break up (because face it, Chuck and Blair are end game unless the writers want their houses egged), but this whole "everyone will hate Chuck" thing is kind of worrying me.
I've been pretty patient with Gossip Girl, and through good and bad have stuck to watching the show, but in all honesty this could be the end of Gossip Girl for me. The writers have done a lot of stupid things, but no matter what somehow I've been able to stomach everything, but if Chuck cheats on Blair or something to that effect, I think I'm done.
I'm praying that that won't happen, but obviously it's something bad, and if it ends up being something to that effect, I can't really see the show coming back from that. Everyone cross their fingers!
Can I just express how upset and pissed I am by these break up spoilers!!! All season I have been optimistic and supportive of the show. I stood behind the writers I stood behind chair. WELL THATS OVER. I have offically joined the I HATE THE WRITERS CLUB!!!
And its not just because chair has broken up I was expecting that it would happen at some point and was prepared for that. Its the way they have chosen to break them up. Making it a bad break up and irreparble and in a way that makes chuck the bad guy and will cause us to hate him. To me that spells one thing- they have decided to make chuck cheat!!! Instead of making it a mutual decison or a mature lead up to a break up they go the cheap route of having chuck do a 360 reversal on his dedication to blair this season by taking the most obvious route and randomly throwing in a cheating storyline or equivalent.
IU mean why go to all the trouble of evolving chucks character of showing him grow up and become a human being if you are just going to say to the fans "oops got you guys!! Forget all the character evoloution really Chuck Bass is a Bastard who will break blair heart and is the shows villian". To me its just a lame attempt by the writers to try to justify a possible future pairing of Blair with Dan or Nate so they can go "See guys Chuck's a jerk maybe you shoulfd route for blair to be with Dan instead". Im sorry not going to happen!!!!
And why go to all this trouble building up the Chair realtionship- constantly reiterating in the lines how they belong and are a perfect match and that their love is real and consuming- and getting so many fans so completely invested in the relationship only to just throw it away and slap the fans who are THE MOST SIGNIFICANT PART OF THEIR AUDIENCE in the face. Its not like chair fans asked for much from the relationship. All the wanted was sweetness, banter, scheming and sex. IM JUST SO UPSET AND DISSAPOINTED!!
9 1/2 weeks is a film apparently about a couple who has lots of kinky sex. Havent seen it myself but apparently their is a synopsis on wikipedia of the film.
So I guess this just means that serenate are going to be having lots of sex.
Well Im very excited by the more chuck UES and Less NYU [especially the less NYU] that sounds awesome and like the writers have been paying attention LOL
Also very excited by the more chair sex scenes but hope the writers actually follow through on there promises! However, Im a little annoyed that Nate and Serena get a 91/2 weeks style sexy screen time straight off while chair fans had to wait half a season for the couple who are suppose to be sexy and kniky to get some action:(

I agree with everything dazed and confused, chair#1 and patricia drunk writing said. I love blair and leighton as much as the next person but I draw the line at being a part of the blatant blair/leighton worship on this site. And I mglad others are tired of it to.
1. Blair is a fictional character designed to be flawed for the purpose of entertainment and furthering a plot
2. Leighton is a human being who is flawed as all human beings are. You should feel entitled to love a character or hate them should you chose BUT Niether blair nor leighton should be held superior to all other life forms. There are far more noble people in the world to worship if you feel that it is necessary.
Just my opinion.
