My favorite episode this season was "House Rules." I liked that it was McGee-centric and I totally enjoyed the format of a Christmas letter to his (we find out at the end) dead father. I did, as well, enjoy the glimpse into Ducky's past. I do think some care has to be taken to bring Abby into the woman she would be 13 years past her introduction. If it is with the park ranger, that's fine.
I don't think they need a grade. It continues to be among the most consistently entertaining series on TV...nuff said.

Caterina Scorsone is just an excellent actress. She was the shining light of Private Practice and I was so glad she came over to Grey's. Thought the scene where she and Owen listened to the voice-mail was powerful. I loved that this episode turned out to be pretty Meredith-centered. It was a perfect wind-up for a traumatic season.
Jackson and April...time will tell.
Jo and Alex...hope he finds happiness.
Richard and Catherine...why he's happy with her escapes me! She is hell on wheels!
Bailey had a couple great lines in this episode...as always...to Edwards, to Richard.
"Dancing it out..." perfect closing.

One thing not mentioned here is how distressed Abby was when she saw, on the nanny-cam, who killed Luke's adoptive parents. She and Gibbs were able to identify that person--or so it seemed. I don't think it is any "head injury" that causes Gibbs to see and hear Mike Franks. I believe it is Mike's continual mentoring and how else would they show that to us--he's a part of Gibbs' gut. While, yes, Gibbs is the lead agent, these people function as a team and as such I don't think we need to see Tony get "promoted." Once again, it may take Gibbs a while to recuperate, which may put Tony in charge at next season's outset...4 months away!!

Dislike: April and Jackson growing apart. Bailey for chief. Suddenly, Alex and Jo together...used to like them. That guy was an INTERN??? Maggie having some kind of "issue." Catherine Avery...period. Disasters...stop!
Like: Mer moving back to "the house." Owen and Amelia still seeking out looks at each other. (She is one awesome actress.) April's confidence...though don't let it destroy her relationship with Jackson. Callie all day no matter what!!
Not sure: Mer and Alex...warming to the idea. LET. HIM. BE. HAPPY! Edwards with the interns! Who should be chief?

I thought Arizona had a great speech in the cafeteria line when the dr in front of her was asking for the board to get "off their asses" and hire a new neurosurgeon.
I DO NOT think Alex should be wit Meredith or Maggie. That said, he should be happy!! I expected Addison to be Mer's doctor when she had the complications. I thought she was in LA. The scenes with Bailey and her husband were annoying and so were webber and avery. I was taken aback by April's departure. Glad Owen helped Amelia....and I get that she's going to be mad at Meredith, but don't think it should be prolonged.

Patrick Dempsey has been in Derek Shepard's skin for 11 years. In TV land that's a LONG time. These are creative people. They thrive on change. Face it, even Shonda is tired of them, as this is the first episode she has actually written since the plane crash finale. I am not surprised that despite the contract, he was tired. I think the deaths on this show have been excessive and Mark, Lexie, and George might have met different fates than death, as Cristina did. And didn't Izzy, Teddy, and Burke just sort of fade away? I would like to credit here, some amazing work by Savannah Paige Rae as the other uninjured accident victim. Fresh off Parenthood, I thought she was terrific! There were some inconsistencies that detracted from this show. NO VEHICLES came by in all the time they were out there? Yet just as Derek pulls a bonehead move a semi appears on that windy road? AND no one has cell service, but Derek's cell makes noise at the most inopportune moment? And, yeah, Meredith drags the kids to the hospital...does not call anyone? Alex, Webber, Amelia? Any one of them would have been there for her and the kids. Just didn't ring true...maybe it's setting up something else, but just wasn't how they usually operate.

I loved the simultaneous "one-sided" conversation between Jo and Stephanie in the hall on the gurney!

Bones Round Table: Max's Big Secret

HATE that Max calls Brennan "Tempy!"

Really? Can you be sure of that?
