There were some awesome performances last night but as alluded to in the review, some were just over the top. I think they put just a little too much into the production of the numbers instead of focusing on the contestants talent.
It's still too earlier to have a fav, but since 6 (3 off each team-I think I heard that right) are going home tonight I guess I better make my mind up.
I agree that it is high time for AI to change it up a bit. As in, posting the actual vote numbers. I really don't see them ever doing that as it could lead to discord among the contestants and as passionate as some are about this show poossible riots in the streets!!!!!!
To those saying Phillip is sounding the same every week.......that's called BEING CONSISTANT. At this stage in the game, however, he is going to have a show another side of himself if he wants to carry on.......I still think he's a top contender at this point.

I wholeheartedly agree with you that it was time for HeeJun's journey to end. From the look on JLo's face I thought for sure the judges were going to save him. If I'm correct I think they said the judges can only use that save till they get to the top five.
Right now my top ones are still Colton, Jessica and Phillip. If Elise keeps on the path she did last night, She will be one of my picks too. I suspect she will do well with 80's week next week.
I do agree that Colton going first could hurt him......but I don't think his performance was bad. I didn't know the song he sang, but I think he did a damn good job!
Deandre was HORRENDOUS!!! Couldn't understand half the words he was saying........ He did better in the TRIO............

I wholeheartedly agree with Barbi.......CBS is killing the show by NOT having it in a time slot where it can air ON TIME. WHO GIVES A BAMN ABOUT BASKETBALL OR GOLF?!?!? Both of which have PREMPTED THIS SHOW the past few weeks...........

As to the reviewers round table........this weeks episode was very well done.
I, for one, am glad Ivy didn't get the part. She didn't deserve it because of the way she acted and because she slept with Derrick. BUT, who knows, she may end up with it after all.
The "Touch me" performace was a bit over the top for a musical about Marilyn Monroe. I get Derrick's point about wanting to spice up the musical numbers.....but he could have went about it a different way.
Now the air has been cleared, so to speak, between Tom and Derrick.......has their relationship reached a new level?
Ellis is the scum of the earth and I hope he gets what's coming to him soon. I cringe every time this sickening character is on the screen.

I think Christina did the right thing in making Moses sing a Stones song.......in a competition like this you have to prove you can do something more than rap--I think that's what happened on XFactor to Astro(that and his attitude) He could do nothing but rap! Sorry but nobody wants to hear that all the time..........

I've mentioned this before, this is the first season I've watched since Melinda Doolittle got robbed. And I doubt very seriously I'll be watching next year after being reminded last week why I don't watch. American Idol needs new judges who don't say to all the contestants "that was beautiful"---they need another Simon. They also need to change the voting system. I still suspect the votes really don't matter and it's who the producers want to win............
As to HeeJun, NO he's definitely not going to win this thing.........for the simple fact that he won't take it seriously.

I think once and for all Alicia needs to decide what she wants and if she wants to be back with Peter. If she doesn't, so be it and move on already. This has drug out for 2 seasons now and it's time for it to move on.
