  1. Gossip Girl Review: The End and the Beginning

Ok, since I normally don' like to bash this way a show that I watch, here are some positive things about last night's ep:
    - the music
    - Chuck's line about Serena
    - GG's return at the end
    - Nate's storyline
  2. Gossip Girl Review: The End and the Beginning

    Worst GG episode EVER.
It's not even the extremly streched, beyond stupid and ridiculous storylines that bothered me, like Blair dumping Chuck cuz she made a deal with God - seriously, who is she now, Michelle Bachman 2.0?
OR Chuck and Louis teaming up? Really, Louis, your fiance and supposed love of life lost your baby and THAT'S how u comfort her? Speaking of which: The whole baby plot was a shame. At least losing it would have been an interesting journey for Blair, show some real pain, growth...but that tiny scene in the hospital where she cried...ridiculous. She'd probably cry longer if she spilled coffee on her Prada or something.

What was really the lowpoint of this episode, and the entire show so far was the bad, pathetic, cheesy writing. That first scene bw Chuck and Louis? I also thought that's kind of a dream sequence or a film noir parody of some sort. But really, each and every line sucked I think (except maybe Chuck describing Serena as blonde pseudo-sibling).
  3. OM-G is Back

aww, she looks like a true GG villain. Love the outfit. Go Georgina!!! Smack lil' Charlie down the empire pleeease!! :)
  4. Gossip Girl Review: Royal Wedding Dreams, Awful Schemes

@Chair Is Endgame: I just checked, and you're right, I mixed up the scenes...but I'm still pretty sure that Blair told yes to the Louis, I mean, it would be rude NOT to give an answer... but you're totally right, she went to Chuck first. I just immediately thought that she had said yes before.:)

I want the NonJudgingBreakfastClub (and Lily) to help Chuck.
I want Blair to confide in Dan (yes, I'm a Dair fan, but it's ok if they're just friends).
I want Georgina to come back, gang up with the team and bring Jack Bass down and help Chuck. Oh, and on her way out, show Charlie who's the *real* bitch in town.

But most of all, I want to see Vanya's "Eastern-european style". LOL:
  5. Gossip Girl Reality Index: The Tuesday Tradition

Blair phoning her mum and calling her "mum". WTF? She always calls her "mother", and I love that. Minus 2.
  6. Gossip Girl Review: Royal Wedding Dreams, Awful Schemes

@ Chair Is Endgame : Ummm, I'm pretty sure that was NOT the reason Blair dropped by Chuck's...to wait and see before she gives an answer. She already told her mum on the phone she's engaged. I think she just wanted closure with Chuck. Or whatever.

    I miss Georgina. *sigh*
  7. Gossip Girl Review: Royal Wedding Dreams, Awful Schemes

Okay, you might hate me now for saying this, but this was by far Leighton Meester's WORST.ACTING.EVER. Waaaay too over-the-top gestures and facial expression, and at the end, when Chuck got a bit crazeee, that moment could've been extremly powerful, but instead it was ridiculous. AND I *DO* LOVE BLAIR (and Leighton as an actress).

Chuck was great, love the dark side. It is sad that the non-judging breakfast club turned its back on him, when clearly he has some serious issues. Which are by no means an excuse for every horrible things he did, but still. I expected more from the Manbangs. Way to go Serena for defending Chuck.

And I'm sorry, but I have to say, the look on Vanessa's face was priceless when Charlie informed her about her devious scheme, she was like "'kaaay, I'm out." Loved it. You might hate her (I certainly don't), but that expression was funny, sarcastic and ironic.

Louis and Blair - no chemistry at all. But at least Blair seems happy.

I'm starting to think that that picture with Blair and Chuck where they are laughing at each other on some kind of jewish wedding, it's either fake OR a dream.
  8. What Will Chuck Do to Blair on Gossip Girl?

I'm sure it's only hype, it has to be the glass.
BTW, I'm quite surprised people are so into "Blouis"...not that I mind, but guys, wer hardly know anything about him, as for now, his character is just plain...boring. Anyway, I'll wait and see.

    That being said: Go Dair.
  9. Grey's Anatomy Review: The Musical Episode

Holy moly. I'm sorry, but JUST BECAUSE some lyrics fit the scene, doesn't mean it needs to be used...it was highly didactic (wait? breathe? - jesus. and I DO love those songs very much) and sometimes totally misused AND badly sung. Sara has an amazing voice, Chyler's, Chandra's and Kevin's are okay...but why oh why?????!!

The last song that was sung by Callie to make herself wake up or whatever, well, i'm sorry, but that was just waaaaaaaay too over the top. Expect some serious SNL schetches there.

And by the way, I wouldn't be that pissed, if this wasn't a major story/important episode. They could've done the glee-ep with another story so that viewers aren't actually forced to watch this (okay I know that noone is forcing noone to watch GA, but I hope you get what I mean).

There was one scene though which I loved: The very first, when Callie was lying on the car and herself was standing next to her singing the GA tune. It was great, beautifully creepy. The others, well...let's just say I'm looking forward to NEVER experiencing this again.
  10. Taylor Momsen to Co-Host X-Factor?

Oh God...seriously, what does SHE know? I respect her music and her talent (that i'm not convinced of but if you say so, ok), but I agree with everyone who says she's just simply too young and inexperienced to judge other competitors. Let her perform; don't make her a judge. For anything.
By the way, I think for example Elijah Wood would be a great judge...he might not be a perfomer, but from what I've read and heard from him in interviews, he has enormous knowledge about music, any kind of music. and he's also a kind-of producer. Okay, that was off-taymom-topic, sorry.

Oh and one thing more: on top of everything else, sorry taylor fans, but I just don't think she's intelligent enough (yet) to make valid remarks.
  11. Grey's Anatomy Musical Episode Sneak Peeks: A Surreal Experience

Okay I am not TOTALLY against this ep, but I am sceptic...love Sarah's voice, but Jessica Capshaw...oooh my. That hurt physically, sorry. :-)
    Looking forward to see Addison!
  12. Katie Cassidy to Star in ABC Pilot

I like Katie, but please-please TV Fanatic, do not dare to compare any show from Josh Schwartz to the masterpiece of Aaron Sorkin a.k.a West Wing. Show some respect, LOL!
Don't get me wrong, JS is good, but NOONE can top A. Sorkin. Sorry.
  13. Grey's Anatomy Musical Event: Song List & Sneak Peek!

Guess it's no coincidence that most of the tracks listed here are from season 2 (when the show was still "iconic"). I'm sceptic, but interested in this episode as well. I just wish they had made Mer or Christina (IF they have a voice) sing '2 AM', it's such an iconic moment for Mer when that song's playing...that song is tied to their character in my head.
OR, for that matter, Chasing Cars. That song for me is all about the epic Grey's moments, Denny, Izzie, Alex, Meredith... I don't mind Lexie, but she's nothing to do with that song.
  14. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Huge Secret to Be Revealed

@ Anybody But Dan: Sorry in the name of others that have insulted you...I don't get people here sometimes. Yeah, I am a huge Dair fan, but everyone's entitled to his/her own opinion.

As for the secret: I wish I hadn't read that (can't help myself:), cause now I'm excited and usually when the writers/spoilers predict a "huge bomb" it falls flat to my expectations. But I'm guessing it has something to do with Chuck or one of the members of the older generation (Jack, Bart, Lily etc.)

Lily might go to jail, that would change the course of her character. And Rufus'.
We'll see. I'm sceptic and try not to expect too much. I only want a solid GG episode.
  15. Gossip Girl Co-Star on Dair: Bring It On!

    in=it, sorry!
  16. Gossip Girl Co-Star on Dair: Bring It On!

seriously TV Fanatic guys, give this poll a rest already. Dair all the way, but polling on in every second... come on.
  17. Gossip Girl Review: The Implosion of Blair Waldorf

@ Kitty, I agree with you also! It's a wonder Chace Crawford is still around and haven't left the show yet, because really, just like Rufus, he's becoming part of the set. No storyline. Whatsoever. Except for these weekly affairs you've mentioned. Dull, dull, dull. Too bad, cause I think he could do better.
  18. Gossip Girl Review: The Implosion of Blair Waldorf

What I found most interesting (and the writers should probably get the freakin' clue) that even die-hard Chair fans are turning into devoted Dair fans or at least not opposing it at all.
And it's not just because of Penn's and Leighton's awesome chemistry, it's because, after a loooong time, we finally AGAIN get a relationship that's being BUILT UP.

Take season 1. Serena's and Dan's relationship had many followers because it was *developed*. We even believed Nate's and Blair's romance because we were being told their history. Then came Chair. Perfectly written and executed.

And then, in the 2nd half of season 2 and the whole season 3, we got these weekly hook-ups which were annoying and unbelievably out-of-character.

So this whole Dair phenomenon, in my opinion, is kinda like a cry-out from many-many GG fans for the writers to WRITE WELL-DEVELOPED ROMANCE STORYLINES!! Not these fake things that last like 2 seconds. Ugh.

Dair ftw. Or any couple that I can *believe*.
  19. Gossip Girl Review: The Implosion of Blair Waldorf

I like the Joey/Pacey - Blair/Dan similarities brought up, I think these couples kinda have similar chemistry. Meaning: LOADS.
I am a die-hard Dair fan (was from the beginning of season 3 actually when Dan told Blair to forget the hairband or what), so I LOVE to watch these eps but I'm also well aware of the fact that it was not "meant to be" *originally* so I'm prepared fot the letdown.
HOWEVER, I do have a comforting thought to all my fellow Dair fans: I dunno how many of you watched the show Veronica Mars, but there was actually a given golden couple (Veronica and Duncan) and then started exploring another pairing (Veronica and Logan), and because of that insane chemistry of the latter one, the writers actually CHANGED the original plotline/storyline and made Veronica and Logan the "epic" couple.
So all I'm saying is, it *could* happen, Dair could have a shot on the long run. We'll see. In a way, it always, ALWAYS comes down to what the majority wants.
  20. Gossip Girl Review: The Implosion of Blair Waldorf

@ Stelm, amen to your post, the last sentence in particular. The way the writers are building up Dan and Blair's relationship is fantastic and (sadly) unprecedented I think. They truly carry the show and have more chemistry than every other couple. Of course we know it's gonna end bad for them, meaning they won't end up together, but that's okay, IF the writers won't bash their friendship. It's the greatest bond on GG so far (loved Chair, but the chemistry isn't there anyomore like it was in season 1 and 2.)

Is this the last episode before the 6 week off? With the Diar cliffhanger?
By the way, there's this song that has lyrics that I think fits perfectly for Dair (as friends and whatnot).

  21. Exclusive Gossip Girl Spoiler: Who's That Kissing ...

Shannon, I think the same. I wish it'd be Dair but I'm almost positive it's Louis (yeah, the Limo pretty much gives it away I think).
I think the cliffhanger will involve Dair being on the verge of something, when Louis parades in. Ugh. I really don't want Louis back. Only if that makes Blair realise who her true friend and potential whatnot is (Daaan!!).
By the way, I was also a Chuck & Blair fan, and I still could be, but the thing is, such a perfect built-up for a relationship, such great character-writing and awesome chemistry is really unprecedented in GG. GO DAIR!!
  22. VDW Siblings

when I'm in my room/home, I ususally sit in high heels as well. wtf.
  23. Gossip Girl Reaction: Discuss "It-Girl Happened One Night"!

LULU, I agree with everything you said. Dair is now front and center in GG, and I love every moment of it. They have amazing chemistry, FRIENDSHIP, and as you guys said it, FINALLY a relationship that's being BUILT UP, and not totally out-of-the-blue stuff (like Serena's relationships - except for Dan).
The writers are truly amazing with Dair, the Rosemary's baby-scene was hilarious, the hand-holding -comforting scene bittersweet, Blair's "scared" look when S told her maybe her secret Valentine texted her...awwwwwwww!!!!

Seriously, Dair is the main reason I'm watching this show right now...and Eric. Finally, he gets a little more screen time (he deserves MUCH more)!

Question: Not that I miss her, but where the hell is little J? Isn't she supposed to be back already? I remember at the beginning of the season we were told she won't be around the first half of the season, but that she'll be back for the 2nd. Hmmm...
  24. Gossip Girl Sneak Peeks & Promos: "It-Girl Happened One Night"

WOW, Leighton and Penn have awesome chemistry. Just sayin'.
  25. Gossip Girl Spoilers: Dair Cliffhanger Ahead!

I can imagine a will they-won't they kind of cliffhanger, where they are on the verge of...doing something or whatever and then cut.
OR, we see them in a compromising position/situation, maybe from Serena's or Chuck's or some scheming GG guest star's POV, and then it'll turn out six weeks later that it was just a scheme/stunt from Dair...I dunno.
Anyway, I'm SO looking forward to a heavy Dair-dosage cause I love-love-LOVE the two of them together. But mainly as friends.
