These award shows are starting to get so predictable with their nominees. It's really frustrating how Shonda Rhimes' shows are not getting their due recognition. In the current seasons, she's been able to break her strongest characters into their lowest points and the stories were great and the actresses portrayed them well. To see that neither Grey's Anatomy or Private Practice and neither Sandra Oh and Kadee Strickland got nominations is frustrating.
I'm shocked that these are the shows that this group finds demeaning to teenage girls because they don't involve a lot of sexual scenes. I mean I know that the characters make-out but they've never explicitly shown the act itself. It shows them leading to it and what happens after but that's about it. I understand that parents are concerned but it's not really for them to dictate how these shows are done. If they don't approve, then don't let their kids watch it. Honestly Glee and Vampire Diaries for me are not the shows to even be concerned about when it comes to objectifying girls.
From these choices, definitely MerDer. Everything they've gone through just makes them amazing. Although I've recently been disappointed with the lack of development on their story in the current season but I'm hoping more is given to them soon. Also definitely love Chuck and Blair. And I'm disappointed that Charlotte and Cooper from Private Practice aren't here cause they're my personal favorite.
Isobel can't break the curse. Only Elena can because she's the doppleganger and she's a human. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Isobel though. I can tell so much more is gonna unfold because of her.
It's possible that's how Callie gets over her anger. But I think we have to see animosity between them first before that happens or else the whole shutting the door at her face thing will be kind of pointless.
Yeah, I think the cast would be hesitant to renew their contracts actually. Even if Gossip Girl is doing well, it can't be their career and they'll eventually have to move on. I know Leighton said the network is flexible with allowing them to do other projects but continuing the show for too long can be damaging for them. Look at how the cast of One Tree Hill is. All their careers' have really known is that show and it's unfortunate.
Pete/Violet and Cooper/Charlotte didn't start with the "over the top drama". If you ask me, the fact that they went through traumatic experiences together is something that makes both couples stronger.
It's said though that the contract doesn't necessarily mean it will end. From what I've read, the six-year contract is pretty standard and it can be renewed accordingly.
Love Tyler and Caroline! And I think based on this, I can see that Jules will probably recruit Tyler to join her wolf pact or something of that sorts. She's obviously try and get him on her side
I disagree with the choice for Best Relationship. I'm not denying that they're not good together because I think they are. I just don't think that they're the best. The obvious choice for me here would be Cooper and Charlotte. A lot of people might say that after what Cooper did in the last episode, they've withdrawn their run as the Best Couple but I beg to differ. The season so far has done a good job at developing Charlotte and Cooper's relationship. Before the attack even happened, we all saw how the two of them bickered their way through finding balance with each other. We saw how two people prepare themselves to get married and just don't jump into it. I'm not saying that the Pete and Violet nuptials are wrong, I'm just saying it was refreshing to see Charlotte and Cooper discuss all the important things like a house and babies. Now when the attack happened, how can we say that they aren't the Best Relationship? They're seemingly unideal right now but that's the beauty of it at the end of the day. What we're seeing Charlotte and Cooper go through is the realistic portrayal of an aftermath of an attack and how it affects the person that you're with. It's a story of a survivor and a co-survivor so I don't see how that's not the "Best". They're going through something big here and to see how it affects them both so much because of the love that they have for one another is great.
Sam and Addison are great but their relationship hasn't reached the depth of Charlotte and Cooper's. They haven't gone through something so big that causes them to question everything and go back to each other. I think Charlotte and Cooper are the Best Relationship not only for the mid-season but for the entire show.
If nominations are basedon the 20009-2010 season, I can look past snobbing Kadee of a nomination. But if she doesn't get one at all from the Golden Globes and Emmys after her fantastic portrayal of a rape victim, something is wrong with the world.
That was definitely the best episode of the show for the season! Loved every minute of it and it was such a great laugh. Kudos of course to Barney for never failing
@Dair Okay, I respect your opinion. You don't have be such a bitch about it. And for the record, obviously I watch Gossip Girl or I wouldn't even bother commenting on updates regarding the show.
I'm actually really shocked that Kadee didn't get a nomination. Private Practice and her deserve some serious recognition for the last few episodes that they've had! I mean really, have there been better rape portrayals on TV? For the work that they've done, they should really get recognized.
I'm disappointed that Private Practice's Kadee Strickland didn't get nominated for her portrayal as a rape victim. I think she's more than worthy of such an award. Although, I'm rooting for Chris Colfer to win in his category!
School shootings aren't entirely uncommon so I think it would be good for Grey's to do this kind of case. It's a good time to do it as well since they just suffered a shooting of their own so it ties up with their personal struggles. I'm definitely excited to see this episode. I think it'll be portrayed well. After the great portrayal of Charlotte's rape on Private Practice, I have no doubts that they can pull off anything.
Not happy about this at all. Glee is never going to get back to where they need to be if they keep bringing all these guest stars on. There needs to be more focus on the main characters
I'm personally glad to see Gwyneth come back but I get your point. It seems like every other episode has a guest star and those episodes involve focusing on the said guest star. As a result, the main characters really don't get to develop as much and the focus is stirred in another direction. Despite my excitement for this, I think they should lessen the appearance of guest stars during each season.
