  1. Presenting: TV's Top Teen Couple!

Woohoo! Go Damon and Elena! Team Delena forever :)
  2. Private Practice Review: Love and Other Drugs

I loved both episodes because they were so different and showed so much about who these characters were.

The first half was so gripping and intense that it became hard to keep watching. Amelia went off on everyone and she didn't hold anything back. I think it was such a powerful thing that the show did here to really show what it can be like for addicts being put into that kind of situation. And that episode showed so much about what addiction can do to the people that care about an addict. It was so powerful and moving.

I initially thought that the dynamics that we'd see more would come from Amelia and Charlotte but I think it became even more powerful between Amelia and Addison. You saw how deep their relationship is and how much something like this can affect the people that you love. Over-all, this episode was just really great.

The second part wasn't as intense, for sure. But I appreciated how it showed how everyone was adjusting through time. It was good to see how Amelia was through each time frame in order to really understand what goes on in such situations. And it became better that she found a friend there that she was able to connect with.

The rest of the episode was about how the other couples of the show were doing and it doesn't look good. I always look for the Charlotte and Cooper scenes of every episode but I'm glad that although the ones in these two were limited, they were good. They showed these two really adapting to becoming a family alongside Erica and Mason.

On the other hand, Addison finally addressed Sam with the question of how they were going to work out when they're at opposite sides of this baby issue. Sam just seemed like a total ass to me. It frustrated me on how selfish he was and how he didn't want to do deal with the problem as he had the assumption that Addison wouldn't get pregnant anyway. It was frustrating to see that go down and that's what makes me side on Team Jake. I loved everything we saw from this character in the two episodes.

As for Violet and Pete, I'm giving Violet a 3 on the VAS. I think it was big of her to be the one to back down and let go of Pete knowing that he wouldn't be able to do it himself. That shows a lot about the characters strength. And at the same time, her wanting to keep things normal for Lucas was probably the most compassion I've seen from her towards her son. Parts I got annoyed in was some of her scenes with Addison. I appreciate the support she's given but some scenes were just a little over the top on Violet's side.

Over-all, really great way to end 2011. Can't believe we have to wait weeks for the next one.
  3. Private Practice Exclusive: Caterina Scorsone on Tears, Exhaustion to Come

Caterina Scorsone has been great this season and I foresee her being even better during this two-hour special event. Private Practice has done a really good job with this story arc. Just like what they did with Charlotte's rape arc, they're giving a very respectable portrayal and form of awareness of such a realistic and universal occurrence.
  4. Grey's Anatomy Round Table: "Dark Was the Night"

    1. Cristina telling Owen the outcome of the patient and then realizing it was Henry. God, that was painful to watch. Sandra Oh really is amazing and she deserves so much credit for everything that she did in this episode. It was hard enough to watch Henry die but it became more painful when we saw Cristina's reaction.

    2. Teddy not knowing about Henry's death, for sure. It wasn't just that she was yet to find out about his fate but a lot of it had to do with how Owen lied to her. She was going through the rest of the surgery rather chipper and every time she mentioned something about Henry, my heart was swelling up. Her finding out about his death will certainly be something to look forward to in 2012.

    3. I've probably liked Alex's the most. It was subtle in the sense that nothing too big happened with him but I felt like there was a lot of meaning to it. He's shown a lot about character growth and development this season cause we've seen him mature in a number of ways so that's nice to see.

    4. Definitely Lexie! She spent a number of the earlier episodes being completely absent and the recent ones have given her very little airtime. I love her character and I wish we could see more about her status with Mark and even how things are with Jackson now. Things ended between her and Jackson and we didn't really see anything else after that. More Lexie please!

    5. For sure there'll be a lot going down between the Teddy-Owen-Cristina dynamics. We once saw them go through a love triangle but I'm sure this will be much more intense than that. Teddy will certainly lash out at Owen because she trusts him so much that withholding that kind of information will be hard to forgive. And for Cristina, it's the teacher-student dynamics that will be compromised there because she trusts in Cristina's abilities so much. This will be really difficult for all of them for sure.
  5. How I Met Your Mother Review: The Almost Story Of Us

This was a really good episode but I have mixed feelings about its end. I've always loved Barney and Robin together but it's disappointing to see him end things with Nora because she's the one who really changed him for the better. I guess you love who you love and Barney realized he loved Robin. I think the next couple of episodes will be really interesting on how the two work around their circumstances. Doesn't look like we'll be seeing Nora again so Robin better be Barney's bride!
  6. Private Practice Intervention Promo: Amelia's Last Chance?

Really looking forward to this episode. I think it's gonna be a really powerful episode. Aside from the intensity we'll see from Amelia, I think there'll be a lot coming from Addison, Charlotte, and Sheldon as well seeing as how they're the ones that care about her the most.
  7. The Vampire Diaries Round Table: "Homecoming"

    1) Definitely a face-off between Mikael and Klaus. Joseph Morgan was great in those minutes and the entire scene was just so intense.

    2) I think he was. Klaus is enough for a bad guy but I thought there was something so interesting and different about Mikael. They could've done more with him being their father and a vampire hunter and I honestly would've like to see more of him.

    3) Rebekah not finding a date seems impossible. She can flip and cheer better than Caroline! But in all seriousness, I was more shocked with the abduction of the Originals.

    4) Haha. Not a chance.

    5) 2012? Give me Delena! Now that Elena's agreed she needs to let Stefan go, I think that's the green light for her and Damon to get together.
  8. TV Ratings Report: A Good Night for Grey's

Really good episode for both Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice so they deserve the increase in ratings! :)
  9. Private Practice Review: Amelia's Addiction

I agree that this was a really solid episode for Private Practice.

For Amelia, it was hard to see her getting worse and the performance of Caterina Scorsone makes it even harder. She's doing such a great job with this arc that her performance is so believable. When you remember how Amelia was when she was first introduced to the show to how she is now, it's remarkable to see what Caterina has done with the character but it makes the story harder to watch. She's a mess and she obviously needs the help that people are trying to give her.

I was glad that Addison finally addressed Amelia cause it's about time that she did. These two have had such a strong relationship since the beginning so i think it was really important that those dynamics were seen again. Addison will always care for Amelia after all so it's good that she confronted Amelia and shows that she wants to help her. I'm glad that Addison didn't choose sides between Jake and Sam because it really is a no-right-no-wrong situation to me. And I like to think that it's a foreshadowing to her eventually not being able to choose between them in another aspect of her life. I know it's far fetched but I'm hopeful! Also really glad that things are seemingly starting to work out for her and her plans to have a baby. She deserves it!

For Sam and Jake, I don't think either of them was wrong or right but I liked how Jake handled the situation more. I'm really starting to like this character because I see so much compassion in him. I get that Sam was already very compassionate about his patient but he seemed arrogant to me in comparison to Jake.

My VAS rating is a 2. Aside from what the reviewer mentioned, I also didn't like how much Violet was complaining about Sheldon. Pete's defense on Violet's reaction was good and although Sheldon admitted that he did it because of how Violet was before, Sheldon was right that there is a protocol to be followed. I just want her to realize that she can't play by her own rules.

As for Charlotte, I'm gonna give her a 10 on my own Charlotte-Awesomeness-Scale because I thought she was just great in this episode. I liked how much love and care she showed in this episode with regards to Amelia, Cooper, and Mason. Her efforts to help Amelia are consistently being seen and their scene today was intense. She showed that she's willing to protect her but all she really wants is to help her. And seeing her with Cooper and Mason was great because you saw how much she loves Cooper. Their interactions as a family was probably the happiest part of this episode and it makes me look forward to the rest of their arc.
  10. TV Fanatic Staff Selection, Take 5: Chair for Best Teen Couple!

Chair forever!! Their loves make the show what it is ♥
  11. Grey's Anatomy Review: Time For Goodbyes...

This was a really good episode but it was equally a very painful episode. I'm so sad about Henry's death. I really liked his character and the relationship that he and Teddy had. It was hard to see Teddy worrying about him pre-op but I think it was harder to watch her perform surgery and inquire about Henry not knowing his actual condition. I get why Owen had to withhold that information from her but it will be so hard seeing her reaction to the news when the show returns. I'm really going to miss this character and the relationship that he shared with Teddy. :(
  12. Grey's Anatomy Episode Trailer: "Dark Was the Night"

@merfan2 I was simply asking if any of you have heard other official announcements to confirm when the succeeding episode will air. I don't see the need for such condescending answers and tones to my question when that is what this site is for. To share information and opinions about the shows we're equally interested in. And my comment regarding Shonda was in response to another user's reply about her.
  13. TV Fanatic Staff Selection, Take 2: Soby for Best Teen Couple!

Really appreciated this article. Ever since this relationship started, I've been a fan of it. I was never really sure why but you explained it all perfectly. They may not be about huge romantic gestures but the little things make you feel their love so realistically.
  14. Grey's Anatomy Episode Trailer: "Dark Was the Night"

@luvalex I was just asking to be sure. You don't need to sound so hostile about it. And for the record, Shonda doesn't necessarily know right away when episodes air because that's up to ABC and not her.
  15. Grey's Anatomy Episode Trailer: "Dark Was the Night"

Can someone confirm if there will be an episode after this one in 2011? Cause Shonda Rhimes replied to a tweet that said something about a cliffhanger this week and her response was that the next episode will be in January. I know she's not talking about PP because a two-hour episode is schedule for Nov 17. Is this week's Grey's the last for the year?
  16. 90210 Exclusive: Gillian Zinser on Marriages, Mistakes and Moving Forward

I never thought anything would develop between Ivy and that photographer and much as I oppose it, I get where she's coming from. She was really young when she married Raj so a lot of questions are bound to rise eventually. This'll be interesting to see but I hope that in the end, Ivy and Raj stay together.
  17. TV Fanatic Staff Selection, Take 1: Delena for Best Teen Couple!

I loved this article and agree with all the points that you raised. Damon and Elena are great and their chemistry is always so alive no matter what the circumstances are. To me, Elena may love Stefan right now but she's young. She has so much more to discover about life and love. One day, she'll realize that she will always love Stefan but that she is in love with Damon. The way these two have been growing has just been developed in a great way that we really get to see both of them, especially Damon, mature and be ready to be in a relationship with one another.
  18. Gossip Girl Review: Chuck Bass, Out of Hell

I'm so happy with the CHAIR scenes. They really carry the show. All in all the episode was rather slow but all of that didn't matter during those minutes between Chuck and Blair. They're meant to be together and they both know it. Blair knows it's easier with Louis but it's Chuck that she really loves. Chair forever!!
  19. How I Met Your Mother Review: The Perfect Storm

Such a good episode. The ending was perfect!! I'm so glad to see Barney and Robin connect like that again and Ii'm looking forward to how it plays out in succeeding episodes.
  20. Private Practice Review: Fantasy Sperm Ball!

I think everyone just needs to relax about the VAS. TVFanatic has always been about opinions and not recaps and that's why we all go to this site. Obviously there are still a lot of Violet fans out there but as a reviewer for TVFanatic, Christina has the prerogative to include such things in her reviews because they do contribute to the over-all content of the article. Aside from that, other reviewers for other shows (such as Gossip Girl) have included things similar to the VAS. Also, Violet isn't the only character that has ever been hated on by reviewers for Private Practice. If memory serves me right, there was a reviewer last season that hated on Addison and that animosity was shown in the entirety of her reviews per episode. At least the VAS is just a little portion of the review. The reviews of this season have been fair and even the VAS ratings reflect that.
  21. Who is Your Favorite Teen Couple?

    Chuck and Blair
    Dan and Serena
    Toby and Spencer
    Caroline and Tyler
    Damon and Elena
  22. Private Practice Review: Fantasy Sperm Ball!

This has been such a good season and this episode proved it. I love how they've been playing out Amelia's addiction and Caterina Scorsone is just doing such a great job with it.

I was so happy for Addison in this episode because she deserved those moments of happiness. And although I'm not an AddiSam shipper, I agree that Sam earned himself a lot of credit in everything that he said to Addison. But still, the chemistry between Jake and Addison is undeniable.

I'm glad we got a back story to Charlotte's addiction because it helps us understand her character more. Although I would've preferred that she were blonde in the flashbacks but I still appreciated them. I especially appreciated that last scene between her and Cooper. It was about time we got a scene like that from these two.
  23. 90210 Review: True Confessions

I thought this was a good episode except I hated how it lacked the element of Max. We didn't see Naomi the least bit feeling bad or any form of regret on what happened between her and Max in the last episode. And that's surprising considering she called him the love of her life. I appreciated the relationship between Max and Naomi because I felt like it was a step forward for this character. Now that she's getting together with Austin, I feel like she's moving back again. It's disappointing.
  24. Michelle Trachtenberg: Returning to Gossip Girl For Major Story Arc!

I love Georgina as a character so I'm looking forward to this!
  25. Once Upon a Time Review: The Price of Power

Another really good episode. I'm loving this show more and more. I'm enjoying how each episode surfaces more questions that make you want to find out more. No doubt, Rumpelstiltskin is the most eerie character. There's so much about this character that we're yet to find out and it seems like he's full of ulterior motives.
