1. The "Elena Diary" needs to end. It's a distraction if used in the future. For this first episode, it was fine because it caught the audience up with the events of the time gap. Elena is gone -- be done with it already. 2. Hopefully, with having been asleep for 3 years that is enough "rest" for Damon to get over it and we don't end up with a post-Elena brooding Damon any further. Let's back to the Damon pre-Elena when he was actually fun, entertaining and interesting. Loved his bonding time with Alaric and Bonnie -- those were actually the best scenes of the episode. 3. The girl silhouetted at the end attacking the brothers is clearly Caroline. I have no thoughts on this yet other than hopefully that will mean neither brother will be in a ridiculous teenage angst relationship any longer. 4. I'm really sick of the all-powerful witch stories. There is a fresh start here but, unfortunately, rehashing a running theme that vampires are at the bottom of the totem pole in the supernatural hierarchy isn't fresh. If it is going to be an entire season of watching the bros get their butts kicked, it will get old fast. We want fun bros, not tortured. If there is torture, let's see it coming from Damon.
I much prefer Lizzie outside of the FBI. As an agent, she was absolutely worthless of anything not spoon-fed to her by Red (although she spoke as if she were the one to come up with the information). Also, now that she is no longer hating Red and treating him like garbage she is a lot more likable. At the very end in the container, their conversation was nice and, for once, her presence on the screen didn't result in me wanting to mute it. She is a much better character/actress as second-fiddle to Red than partner to Ressler. This new direction of the show is fantastic. We needed the build up of the last two seasons to appreciate where it is going now but I'm glad those seasons are past. Hopefully, the Dembe situation will be resolved soon. That is the one direction I'm not liking.
once again, everybody was controlling fitz, and tony looked uncomfortable in his role last night. can't the writers ever have him showing strength and decisiveness for more than 30 seconds? olivia has been reduced to a whining, confused mess; abby, as usual, was running around in an uncontrolled frenzy, and liz' role was still pretty useless. the episode gave me whiplash. shonda/writers continue creating weak story lines for jake, and to top it off, jake and rowan looked life compadres planning to work together again??? based on promotions of the episode, i thought i'd be entertained. not!!
Great start! I'm actually quite excited for these final episodes. I still think Haven has stayed good during seasons 4 & 5, albeit not as good as seasons 1-3. By the way, was that girl who Duke saved in part 2 Krissy from Supernatural?
cant wait...cant wait....cant wait...
Finally got Extant's quality up, and it gets cancelled. Oh well, another show I enjoyed down the drain. I wish Halle Berry good luck on her next TV show. She's going to need it.
Here for Narcisse and Lola tbh. Im in full on adoration mode. Enjoying his journey as a character and his relentless pursuit of Lola is incredibly fun - and hot - to watch
Zack didn't kill Nora, Nora killed Nora. She hesitated and she should have seen/been through enough to know that hesitating will get you killed. She told Zack to run and he didn't. A simple, "Zack, turn around!" and then a decapitation maneuver should have been what happened. She got herself killed by not killing first and asking questions later. I don't blame Zak at all. Nora should never have paid him mind. He's a clueless child. To win this war, savagery without hesitation must be the order of the day. Nora should have known better
I think it will be Thea who bites the dust. Mainly because she's enjoying the violence too much and Oliver is very worried about that. Can't have TV characters loving violence like that. Not a socially acceptable trait in this society. Might be an affect from the Lazarus Pit. If so, who knows what will happen to anyone else revived via the Pit. Could affect each person differently, which could make for more story lines. Also I don't hate Olicity, but I don't like all the mushiness either. I prefer the spunk rather than the oh so acceptable deception. No wonder the proposal is on hold! Has there been one moment of truth in the relationship so far? Oh, yeah, when Ollie said he was happy. Can anyone think of another?
