Do NOT want showdown between Cullen and Syd. Syd will lose. Yes, appreciate the actor and character but maybe Sean you're just seeing the Jax Teller in him especially in the scene where he "danced" around after shooting someone... just saying he looks so much like Charlie Hunnam...
To be fair and balanced, and not to have Carissa think that I am a total jerk, here is my read on Grace. I think that Grace loves, likes, and cares about Neil’s wellbeing, three things that aren’t necessarily all present (I think that Neil reciprocates those feelings). I think she is a good person that made a bad decision in having an affair. I think that it may have started as a fling but continued for six months because Simon was giving hersomething that she wasn’t getting from Neil. She may have felt something was missing but didn’t know what before the affair. I don’t think it is sex. She could have her way with Neil anytime she wants. Although, she may not want to have sex with Neil because of something he did, didn’t do, or is doing (women are funny that way). Of course, in this marriage, Neil and Grace never talk about what is bothering them. Even in the final episode they seem to reach some kind of understanding through a process that could only be described as mental telepathy. I think she is confused. She wants to fix her marriage but doesn’t know how. (Marriage counseling would be a good start, but who knows if that is going to happen.) She is conflicted. She knowsshe should end things with Simon, which we all know isn’t going to happen is this series, at least anytime some, but there is some tie with Simon that she isn’t ready to cut.
Nobody has the impression that you are jerk. We just give our impressions. Our batting averages are very low. It is amazing how much back story the writers were able to create in the period of less than 10 minutes.
I doubt that Carissa thinks that I am a jerk, but I think I may have given her a little heartburn once of twice.
How come the zombies are no longer sprinting like they did in the first episode?
What do you expect consistancy from a show like this? Next the zombies will be playing dead. Oh wait they already did in the first episode. Next episode they will probably be dancing to the song "Thriller?" What about the infected dog that attacked the normal dog. Sounded like he was bit, but seemed completely normal a few minutes later. Are the writers asleep at the wheel or something?
If we have learned anything this year, it is that as a group we are terrible at predicting the course of the show :-) I made 8 predictions that I thought would happen in the last two episodes. Only one can close, Grace is offered the fellowship to the Design Institute in Milan and visits the school.

Towards the end I think they were deliberately using the previews to create different expectations. This was both clever and annoying at times. And there was enough unpredictability in the characters, which I liked, to challenge the viewers. Who would have thought Adrianna had a husband and Simon was from a very wealthy family.
Sean Jablonski has me totally baffled as to what he considers a post-modern marriage. At first I thought it would be about two strong, career minding individuals and how they would balance work, marriage, and raising a family, with a midlife crises or two added to the mix for good measure. Neither is strong. Both are passive-aggressive. Neil seems incapable of making a decision and then following through with it. He lets issues eat away at him until they boil over and he explodes, making matters worse (sooner or later his feeling about the affair are going to boil over). He seems incapable of taking a risk to save his marriage or anything else. The one good idea he had, the satisfaction app, he mucked up. He should have quit the job he hates and started a company to develop the software. It wouldn’t have been that big a risk. He is a financial manager for crying out loud. Raising the money should have been a piece of cake for him. Grace at least had the nerve to risk an affair, or whatever it was, with Simon. She didn’t do it to save her marriage, but in the end it might by making them recognize that their marriage is in deep doo-doo and forcing them to sit down and work out their problems. Anyway, maybe Jablonski thinks that a postmodern marriage includes extramarital sex, and the arrangement that Adrianna and her husband have is the right model.

In season 2, and yes I believe the show will be renewed, the Simon and Grace show will be resumed. Grace has sublimated her true feelings for Simon because of the ease in which Neil was willing to start over. Simon's changing status monetarily and socially, will be more attractive to Grace. He will no longer be that gigolo, but an individual from a family of status who took his own path. This will have some resonance with Grace. I believe, we will see a re-kindled relationship as dating partners, with a physical and emotional separation from Neil (at least for a period of time). The separation from Neil will end when they can fully talk openly about their lives. Will they get back together eventually? Yes, if you can believe the series originator.
Great recap Hank. Thorough and entertaining. Look forward to the next one.
I appreciate that Rey, thanks! Loving this series, can't believe there are just 3 episodes left.
I can´t believe the selfishness from some people who favoured certain character who was abusive to Tony. Tony deserves to be happy, and who says this woman is a love interest? It is said that they worked together!!!!!! I am tired of Ziva/Tiva fans who can´t respect other actresses.
Love the show.Great acting Has to be renewed
I agree with Ron, Jim, if he didn't keep reminding me that Claire wanted to go back to the 20th century, I would not even remember that part of the story. It's all Jamie and Claire and the clans for me.
Good one Hank! I loved this episode. Yes, the gas truck blew up but don't forget 10K conveniently found a couple of gas cans they then used to get the F out of Dodge. I think my favorite part was when Addy's baseball bat spike thing came flying back to her like she had a homing beacon. I was laughing at that. I'm intrigued by Cassandra's story and wonder if/when we'll get back story on some of the other characters. Like 10K. Where did he learn to shoot like that? And with a slingshot no less. Is there some superhero, supernatural stuff at play here? Or will we find out he just played a lot of Call of Duty prior to the zombie apocalypse. :) Looking forward to next week's episode.
