Totally arrogant brain surgeon dumps absolutely gorgeous and arrogant obstetric specialist, with whom he shares a totally great dialogue. In comes a totallly arrogant cosmetic surgeon whose weakness is the totally beautiful obstetric specialist, who makes him go weak in the knees, but with whom, happily, he shares a fabulous dialogue. Meredith and Derek's byplay used to be so much fun for me to watch until I got a load of Derek and Addison, who had that blend of vulnerable and witchy downpat. Now comes McSteamy, a man who has all the twinkle of McDreamy, and then some AND has the good sense to want a woman and not an adolescent. I'm gonna absolutely love this season. Wish more shows were able to take note of hte audience's reaction to a cameo character and bring them on for a longer stint.

Who Almost Played Preston Burke?

I agree, no one else could play Burke or have the same chemistry as IW and SO.

Round Table: "Time Has Come Today"

Just wanted to write a response to TeamAddision's question about our favorite female star. My favorite is Cristina. I like her because she isn't perfect. She is one of those people who is so driven and competitive and competent that she hasn't learned that it is okay to not be in control all of the time. Preston allows her the safety net to be vulnerable. Sandra Oh is incredible in this part. I go from wanting to just shake her (when she couldn't be there for Burke after he was shot, when she acts in selfish and self indulgent ways) to just loving her when looks so completely stricken (when she said she gave up her key 20 minutes ago, when she asks him not to die, when she was lyiing in the hospital bed crying after she lost the baby and he comes and wraps her in his arms). I love her character and the relationship between Burke and Cristina. Watching their love for each other grow and seeing how it changes her has been one of my favorite parts about the show. Of course, I also love Meredith and Izzie so it is almost impossible to go wrong here no matter who is on the screen. In fact, I think that is the best part about all of the characters. No one is perfect. No one is always right. Every character is flawed and that's what makes them so relatable. We can see parts of ourselves in all of them.

What an awesome addition to the cast. I love his voice and the twinkle in his eye. He plays a great McSteamy and can only add a bit more competition to the list of already hot and handsome men of Seattle Grace. I am looking forward to the fire works between Mark and Addison. He is obviously in love with her, came all the way across country to convince her to come home, but was she just using him to get Derek's attention? It remains to be seen. He sure had our attention in that towel!

Round Table: "I Am a Tree"

I was never a really big Callie fan until this episode. She took the blame for the panties so Meridith and Cristina wouldn't get in trouble. I thought the scene of her dancing in her underwear was great. She is not tiny like Mer or Cristina but she still had the courage to be on tv in her underwear. That's what I like most about this show - the cast is so diverse with different races and different body types. No one is the same and every one is unique in their own little way.
I'm not so sure I like the fact that Addison and McSteamy are getting back together though. She cheated with Mark and made life hell for McDreamy then gets back with Mark and every thing is great for her. He should stay on the show, but not with Addison. She needs some alone time to act like she is actually sad over the end of her marriage that she wanted to keep so badly.

Clay Aiken: Let's Talk About the Music

Congratulations on a positive article.
I cannot stop listening to A Thousand Different Ways. The tribute to his fans included in the album is outstanding, it makes me feel a very special part of the Clay Nation. Clay is even better in person, and is the ultimate entertainer, he definitely has the IT factor. I hope to be able to see him in one of his upcoming concerts soon.
