I tottaly will ban this show from my home - the opener ruined it for family viewing - just what I want my three teenage daughters watching. NOT!  What a stupid decision on the networks part.  Do we want all our girls to be total sluts.

I have to agree that it was a little more racy than I would expect, however, when your up against those new shows such as Gossip Girl, etc. I can understand the writers wanting to do an edgy opening to get the attention. I am not sure that the audience is supposed to be as young as we were in the "old" 90210 days rather that of an older generation. I am 31 and I enjoyed most of the storylines. However, it's the conversation between Kelly and Brenda that I found to be most rewarding to watch. I can't wait to see those sideline stories open up and hopefully answer some lingering questions since the show ended. Did Kelly and Brandon somehow end up together since Dylan was always leaving when it got rough. I can't imagine Dylan and Kelly having a kid together, but Brandon yeah that makes more sense and brings a reason for Brenda to enter the pic. I loved watching them two catching up it was a tear jerker. Keep it going guys, but yeah no more oral in the high school parkinglot. That's crossing the line! Parents would agree with me right? You can still make it hot, without making it unwatchable for young viewers. Blondeyez out....

It is RACY because that is what the kids are doing these days, parents just don't know what is going on. Kids are having sex and doing drugs and all that stuff! It is just REAL life!

Well I feel really sorry for you first if you think this is close to reality, or if this behavoir is how you would act or teach your children to act.  I agree that there needs to be a racy story line but does not need to resemble porn.  We do not need to teach our girls that they have to have sex to be popular (ask any guy out there who they would perfer to marry I am sure it would not be the neighborhood whore) or that you have to be a size 0!  I was very disturbed about the weight of the two main characters.  I really feel sorry for our kids becasue they do have to deal with instant gossip on the internet and texting.  It makes this age that much harder.  We were all excited to see the new show but I am banning it. I have two 16 year olds and a 20 year old; all girls and thank god they have respect for themselves.  Sorry this just was plain trash.

I think you have a false sense of reality. I don't think trying to control your children by banning a show is going to help them not get into trouble or not have sex. You have to educate your children on these things to help them make the best desision on their own, because ultimatly they are going to deside what to do and you will have nothing to say about it. I just hope that what you are doing is really helping your children and I hope that you acctually KNOW them and talk to them about things and how they feel about it before you just ban something.

I talk to them all the time.  We have a great relationship and of course they think I am too strict but they respect my feelings and understand I am trying to raise them to be decent human beings in this crazy world.  I have taught them self respect and all three are great girls!  I am just really saddened that the media pushes so much crap on our kids that parents have to watch every show and be the comentator - reality check - so our kids do not think that they are expected to act that way.
