I did see it. It was Ok. I think I mostly liked it. Definitely like Tara as a vampire. She is pretty badass as of late. And yes ashe looked hot. It is interesting seeing Tara be like a baby who needs to be taught everything. Also, Eric's quote about NYC is 100% win. And 100% true.
I actually found a new TV obsession: Justified. It is incredible. Smart, funny, and with kick ass characters. Also, Timothy Olyphant looks very sexy with a stetson on and shooting some bad guy. It is like Sopranos meets Law & Order set in rural Kentucky. I will put a clip with Desmond Harrington (aka uncle Jackass) on when I get home. He was in it for like an episode :)
The books aren't really for teens. I mean they can be read by teens but they aren't the target audience. They are fun to read over the summer. I read 4 and then I stopped because I got busy. But the 4 I read were fun. I actually like the books Sookie better. And book 4 where Eric and Sookie start their relationship is so much better and hotter than season 4. Book Eric and Sookie are OTP.
Well. No. I am wrong. It wasn't Godric who made Eric in the books. Godric liked to eat and I think rape children. Eric's maker was other Roman. And they did have sex or so it was suggested. And Eric had a brother. Who happened to be the slain son of the last Russian tsar which is weird, especially if you're Russian.
Have any of you read the books? It was so much grosser in the books. Godric and Eric were lovers. This reminds me, i miss gay Eric. I have to watch seadon 3 again. I sort of forgot what I wanted to say because I remembered poor Russel Edgington's lover (forgot his name) and how Eric and he flirted. It was fun!
I do love the vampire storyline involving the Authority, Eric, Bill, Pam and evin Jessica. So far I am not too thrilled with Sookie's story or lack of. But I guess it will pick up when she gets closer to Alcid. Oh and when Russell Edgington comes for her. Because he will.
I don't know if she loathed herself as much as questioned herself, her life, general purpose of it all. We all do. Part of growing up and realizing that having full control over your life is not easy. Which is why Buffy is relatable. Being a grown up who has to pay rent, take care of someone who depends on you, fighting to preserve an ounce of self and trying to figure out what the hell that self even is and who we want it to be instead sort of sucks. Big time. It is easier to hide behind patrols, sex with spike, fighting the big evil, doing anything that doesn't force you to face the ultimate truth which is you are fucking alone in this world and you are responsible for your life completely. No one else can take over and live your life for you and deal with consequences of your decisions. At certain point it is all on you and it sucks.
