Damn, that is a cool poster.
And I didn't notice the caption at first, but now that I have...it's even cooler. Damn.
of course no one could see body swap coming because ITS FUCKING RIDICULOUS.Did you see the Plec interview where she said they basically did it just to keep JoMo on the show? They were going to kill him off originally, but changed their minds mid-season and this is how they got around it. Ugh. SMHHHH.
LMAO. Seriously though, the number of times she's lied and contradicted herself...TBH, I don't consider interviews to be canon, and Twitter, even less so. So...basically I'm not taking the tweet seriously. I'll take what I see onscreen, thank you very much.
I think it's entirely possible that they didn't even think about Tyler's side of things until they got asked. Plec talked about Bonnie's deal with KLAUS in post-finale interviews. She talked about Bonnie's decision, Bonnie being the hero, etc. She never once said or suggested or even implied that Tyler had given his consent. IMO it's pretty clear that Plec is just trying to weasel her way out of the situation. AS ALWAYS.
What's really annoying is that so many people WANTED Dark!Bonnie. Including Bonnie fans. And Bonnie hijacking Tyler's body without permission would have been in-character for her: she has a history of just doing things to people against their will for "the greater good." Whereas Tyler not telling Caroline, or at the very least, making Bonnie promise to tell Caroline, is COMPLETELY OOC. What, just in 3x20 he was saying, "I should never have let Klaus dance with you." So...2 episodes later he's OK with letting Klaus TAKE OVER HIS BODY without letting Caroline know what had happened? DO NOT EVEN TRY TO SELL ME ON THAT BULLSHIT BECAUSE I AIN'T BUYING IT.
It's so obvious that Plec is backpedaling because she wants Bonnie to be "the true hero" (because of backlash from Bonnie fans) and she didn't realize that this made Bonnie look bad.
I mean come on. This is ridiculous. There's a reason why BONNIE might not have told Caroline (if she'd gone ~dark), but there is absolutely NO reason why Tyler wouldn't have told her, if she were in on it. What's he got to lose? At the very least, he would have made Bonnie promise to tell Caroline afterwards, even if they didn't have time before because they were worried that Vamp!Ric would find the body.
Come the fuck on, this isn't rocket science.
They may be pissed, but hey, Meredith knew about the situation with vampires in this town, and she didn't bother to share this information with the council...instead she used vampire blood to heel her patientsYeah, Meredith was basically going rogue, though, I wouldn't be surprised if none of the other Fells knew what she was doing. I'd prefer to see her on the side of Caroline and Tyler and Co. actually, given that she's interacted with the supes already.
I saw Elijah's Hottie post this from Carina a few pages back:
Tyler adds an important element to the Mystic Falls dynamic, as he's the only character in town who, presumably, doesn't put Elena up on a pedestal. While everyone else in town would walk barefoot over hot coals to fetch Elena a ponytail elastic, Tyler has his own life and his own loves to worry about. He's incredibly important to Caroline, and his well-being matters to Matt, but other than that, Tyler is a wild card. He's the only one who can't be trusted to put Elena first -- even Klaus has a vested interested in keeping the doppelganger alive and healthy. It's so true, and you know, I think it's WHY Tyler gets shafted so often now. The show's increasingly all about Elena, Elena, Elena, Elena. Look at how Captain Cardboard's gotten a much bigger role this season because he can give the Elena Validation Speech every week. Tyler's the only series reg who can't be used to prop Elena, and that was OK in S2 because he and Caroline got stories of their own, but now that the entire Vampire Diaries universe revolves around Elena, Plec doesn't know what to do with Tyler. Ugh. SMH.
You know what I'd love to see in S4? I'd love to see Caroline and Tyler bonding over their issues with the Council, and working with their moms about it. Because they'd have been the next generation, if they'd stayed human, but now they're "the enemy" in the eyes of the other Founding Families. And the Fells, for one, are gonna be hella pissed that the Lockwoods and the Forbeses have been keeping this from them, there could be power struggles, and Caro and Tyler caught in the middle of that could be fascinating. Especially given their daddy issues, especially given how much they both love their moms, especially given that they have to face up to their futures, whether they're going to take up the mantle of the Founding Families and take on that duty and if they'll even be allowed to do it given that they're supes.
Siiiigh, 3x21 actually gave me hope that the show was going to go there, but now I don't know.
Caroline is challgened by life and her flaws. SHE DOES NOT NEED A MALE TO CHALLENGE HER. Tyler and Caroline romance WORKS because they do not CHALLENGE, they understand and HELP each other. They are two newbies in similar situation with a bond stronger than just a simple sexual attraction. So much word to this.
I'm so glad Tyler is back in the next ep...this ship still makes me squeal like a little girl. :D
Ugh, I'm so glad to find other people who hate this entitled, smug, self-righteous DOUCHE.
I hate the fact that he makes Caroline feel like crap about herself all the time.
I hate the fact that he's all, "I told you how I felt about you, Caroline. WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?" Uh, how about respect? Or kindness? Something more than, "Even though I wanted to THROTTLE you, I'm PRETTY SURE I'm in love with you."
I hate that he's such an IDIOT, he can't see how awesome Caroline is.
I hate that he acts like he's doing HER a favor by condescending to give her the time of day, when he should be grateful someone as kickass as Caro is willing to spend time with HIM.
HATE HATE HATE
Dair >>> Everyone else.
Seriously, they're the only good thing left about this show.
