oh crap. I meant Marcel.
People are fangirling Mason lol. that's whats happening. Same thing happened with Mason. Hardly any screentime, and yet, yeah. I think Connor's whole thing was a little different though. His episode was probably one of the better written ones this past season. For like 40 minutes the show had a completly different feel. Don't even get me started on Vaughn. That was pure mania. On second thought, the hunters mythology was handled pretty well.
Yeah I really dislike Hayley and I do think PT can't act worth shit, but I do feel bad that she's taking flack for the writers mishandling. JP is all "she's a confident independent" take no shit woman. Its like whhaattt?? This girl literally jumps from protector to protector. It would've been better if the deal making part of 4x16 went unsaid, and we were left to infer it. It would've make her seem less like a prostitute. If the writers had the goal of portraying Katherine's style of nympho sneaky-ness with Hayley they pulled a major fail. Katherine does the using, she doesn't get used. Having Hayley willingly enslave herself to others (when all she has to do otherwise is lie low) isn't a very female empowering thing.
Quite honestly, Hayley's almost immediate trusting reaction to Klaus makes me doubt her sanity. How in the world does a girl have sex underneath a man's wall of death? Her characterization is consistent but its not at all likeable. Her very connection to Klaus is dependent on her being dependent on him. But we're supposed to believe she's bad ass? ookay
I'm just taking comfort from the fact that some Originals promo pics don't include her. They seem to be really pushing Marcel. Which is awesome. I want me another karaoke session.
@Patri: cocky isn't a bad thing. It just means he has confidence. He's nice to his fans, but he is very very confident. The man oozes charm lol
JM is definitly cocky. But lets face it, he could get chemistry going with a tree. I mean yeah, Leah isn't exactly the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen, but she's actually not a bad actress. If they can make it flow it should be okay right? Its much better than watching the alternative pairing *cough cough* lol btw, does anybody know if they're keeping the baby plot?
idk, i just hope Caroline gets some good stuff next season.
lols thats too bad. I actually kind of like Mortal Instruments. I'm reading the books now. The parents were really young though. But isn't the younger generation like 15? So some of these parents won't even be in their mid-thirties. Then again, the older I get the younger everyone looks.
Definite feels from other books though. But, if anything the thing is a rip off of Harry Potter and Star Wars. There was like a 30 second span where it was channeling the twilight triangle, but then it was over. At a certain point, everything is a rip off of something. Even Harry Potter has some striking similarities to Books of Magic series.
I can't be the only one that liked it right?
dude if JP's smart she's already rewritten baby plot lol. What nonsense though. Can't believe she wants that to be the premise of the show. A baby saving a 1000 year old psychopath that's gone around killing kids (ex: Katherine's family). I'm pretty convinced this show will be for non-TVD viewers. They're kind of re-characterizing Klaus. In that scene where Marcel kills the witch, Klaus looked on in what looked like horror. And disapproval. Like really?
True. Hard to picture it working. But if it makes it to the second season, i'm sure it'll stick around for the full 6. CW doesn't axe gauranteed ratings, even if the're bad. Look at GG. I think they're counting on their cast to bring in a lot of attention. Like in media and interviews etc. And they have some serious eye-candy with this one.
some actors are just frustrated with the amount of sway (or impact?) shippers have on ratings, and basically their jobs lol. Its not surprising, but man, some of them really have to see the show for what it is. One giant shipping frenzy. Whatever hope I'd had for this show to be based on Klaus' personal journey disappeared with that baby stunt. Like 'ooo he likes this one, but got another pregnant, and then there's this other one...who doesn't believe in evil *hint hint*. Spare me. Give it some actual plot and substance and watch the show be a success.
I defiantly agree though. Some chicks need to cool it with the hate. Actors are entitled to their opinions for god sakes. And its not like it'll influence the writing.
