  1. The Losing Side.

When I first started watching GG, I always used to try and decide who was 'winning'. As in ships (because let's face it Gossip Girl is essentially one big shipping war) Chair, Dair, Derena, Sernate etc. And sometimes I actually felt my ship was winning.

But, recently, it feels like, no matter who I decide to ship, I am on the losing side. Or rather everyone is. Bad plot lines accompanied with no character development and repetitive everything just makes me completely despair for this show. (I almost wonder how it is still on air)

It's as if even the best end I could possibly imagine for my OTP at the end of the season would still feel like losing, because the lead up to it was just so abhorrent.

Now, am I just being melodramatic here, or are even ships the writers are biased towards (ahem Chair) playing an ultimately losing game?

  2. Dare to Dair?

Here is the pitch in the writers room for season 5: "We'll just have Blair be batshit stupid every other episode."Ugh, this is so true. I don't get what they are doing at all. Chuck is a saint, Blair is an idiot and Dan is being overlly self obsessed and the bad guy. They will do absolutely anything to justify the Chuck/ Blair relationship even if it means making characters become completely different over the space of an hour. It's all ridiculous.

  4. Next Weeks Episode cliffhanger theory

It's actually reached a point where I don't care about the Chivy story line even a little bit anymore. I think Ivy seems like quite a nice girl, turned nasty by the Upper East Side sometimes but still, I would rather her just be a Rhodes without any complications now. The story line just sucks up all the time.

And I reckon the Blair will lose the baby in the crash, which doesn't surprise me one bit. But nice try at being interesting and original GG writers, better luck next time.

  5. Who's the immature one now B!

I just find everything pathetic, last week they made Saint Chuck apologise, this week they made Blair look like a child, and nexy week they are turning Dan into Blair's villian. It's like step by step guide to making Chuck look good so his past sins will be forgotten (and in the process needlessly ruining other characters).

  6. Dare to Dair?

I really don't understand what the writers are trying to do. I mean, they already have the chair fans on their side (without any of the reformed Chuck) and to those of us who see through their pathetic attempts at making chuck seem like a good person, it is all pointless. They may have well just had Chuck swagger in as his old self and swoop Blair up, because the Chair fans would have loved that all the same. I really don't see the point in dragging out a stroy where he 'reforms' himself in a matter of days, where Blair is made to look like a pathetic little child (I mean WTF that came out of nowhere) and where Dan apparently turns into old Chuck and ruins Blair's shower.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who see's what they're doing here? By making Chuck look like a saint and Dan and Blair look like children, they expect people (not Chair fans because they were always blisfully happy) to forget Chuck's crimes. It's pathetic and boring and its ruining good characters for no reason.

  7. Dare to Dair?

OK, i never want to go near the Chair thread again. They are really scary over there.

  8. Dare to Dair?

I love the laughing pictures so much, I never see set pictures of the cast laughing together apart from Penn and Leighton. You can tell they like each others company, and it reflects in their acting with that great chemistry. The friend scenes seem to come really easy to them. Now if that could only influence the whole Dair thing.

  9. Who Does Blair Kiss - New Ausiello Spoiler

It'll probably be Chuck and Blair. Which turns my stomach but the writers will do anything to keep the Chair fans, you know, not homicidal, so we'll just have to bear it. *shudder*

  10. Facepalm *this fanbase*

Oh my word this is brilliant. I think I may have starved my brain of oxygen a little for laughing at the Black Ops Chair fans.
