Perhaps I'm wrong, but I have a feeling they'll keep acknowledging it in the beginning of the spinoff, until the show finds a stable core audience and the new ships start taking off (that's why I don't think Plec is lying when she says it's not the end for KC lol). They can still ruin them like that.LOL.Thats why i ship Caroline and Tyler's answering machine :P

I can't wait for you to see the episode - it's going to blow your mind! Do you know what, it's made reference to in the episode, what happened between them. I don't think there's a future in that way for those characters, but what we've done is given a complicated history to them so already there's something between them, which makes things a little more complicated. I think it's just making things a little more interesting - it's stirring the pot a little more.

But yeah, I think it only serves to make things more interesting and make him more rounded as a character."
