We know that since Nate put up a youtube video last weekend from Atlanta that he is in the final episode of the season.
In her mind we don't deserve that.
Of course she doesn't think that, it is only what she used out of anger in 140 characters. It was a stupid statement.
@Lin_Fisher2012 I follow Julie and have NEVER tweeted her. She did not sent out that tweet to just the people that tweeted her she sent it to all of us. I would certainly not call myself a Bonnie fan, but I am an Originals and Kol fan. That tweet pissed me off to the point I almost did tweet her back, but 140 characters is not enough to get the point across. I believe that was one of the main problems with all that happened that day, not one person was able to truely convay what they really wanted to say in 140 characters (twitter was the WRONG forum). With what she said it made it appear she was saying that Elena and Caroline must be ugly, weak women because they for sure are with murderous vampires (which is the show she writes). Also every other vampire has some humanity to them but Kol is only a muderous vampire.
Of course Ric saw it after the retcon. I don't find it hard to believe that someone alive (living dead) at the time the drawings were done would know what it means. Where as someone trying to intrepret it hundreds of years later might not get it. It's not like Ric has not had other things going on in his life since the cave was found, not like he hasn't died and gone to the hospital repeatedly or anything.
I do not know how to do screen captures or post pictures here, so no I can't prove it. At the end of ghost world they showed a tree on the wall that had people under it, which I assume is the tree Rebekah described in the last episode where the natives where worshiping around the tree. This was a wide view of a tree and the calender they showed us last episode was nowhere to be seen. Then in ordinary people the tree they showed when Elena was talking about the tree used to create the vampires (just before she figured out the hybrid symbol), that tree picture had NO people under it like the other one shown. Then there was also the picture of the tree being burned, so there has always been at least three pictures of trees on the wall.
They always showed us two different trees, it is not new. The calender next to the tree is new, but anyone looking at that wall and not knowing the meaning of the calender (if it had always been there) would have assumed all the pictures were of the only tree they knew about.
The argument of Ric missing something would work if he had actually solved anything else. All he figured out was vampire, werewolf, witch, and he translated the viking names. I believe the names were his only clue that these drawings were really really old. Not having figured out one unseen and unmentioned calender, while not knowing this supposed second calender. Without proof I will only believe there is only this one calender by this second tree, and Ric could not translate it.
They always showed 2 different trees on that wall, three if you count the burning tree. Ric missed nothing because the tree Rebekah saw had no calender next to it when Ric and we saw it in Ghost World. The writers changed it ie. Julie Plec after they decided that the second drawing would be of a second tree. What BoredNow got right that you keep missing is "they (meaning Julie Plec, when I said the writing changed) thought it up without pre-planning and tried to pass it off as something that was planned." These Retcons do not bother me at all, what bothers me is when someone here misses the retcon and throws out something else as the retcon. If your going to bitch about retcons at least get them right.
@RedOktober no you did not give a good example, however @Bored Now did give a very good example. (the fact that he saw and correctly interpreted the first tree and calender, yet SOMEHOW, missed the second). This is only your wrong theory of what actually happened in the show. The dialog from the show was
Elena: What is all this?Ric: Well as far as I can tell it's a story, in qiute simple archeological terms is a really really old storyRic: according to this wall these werewolves have been here a lot longer than that (talking about the Lockwoods)Ric: We filled in what we couldElena: That's the white oak tree that was used in the spell to create the vampires, which means that was when they bunred down the tree destroying the only way they could be killed.Ric: OK so tree equals weapon sort of, but we already knew thatIn my book really really old is not interpeting a calender correctly, and telling us about the first tree was Elena not Ric. But as Bored Now pointed out the writing changed, because at the very end of "Ghost World" we are shown the tree with the natives worshiping that Rebekah saw and at that time there was no calender next to it.
