PW: Will this finale set up the events of season three the way "Founder's Day" set up season two?
Nina: It does. There’s not just one – there’s two or three kind of big twists that change the course of everyone’s lives, and they’re unexpected. It affects Damon & Elena hugely. It effects Stefan more than anyone would have imagined. Jeremy’s life is just completely turned around, and almost confusing – you’ll see why soon enough. But it initiates these storylines that will flourish in season three.
Number 7 was in this episode. Alaric put the rose on Jenna's grave.
Elijah, as has been said by others was only doing what every other character has been doing, looking out for those they love. These others betrayed him first, by killing him twice! Then he had to ask them for an apology. Elijah was so honorable he said sorry before leaving with Klaus.
The first one you are correct on. I think the burial took place the next morning. There was no funeral, priest, or anyone else from town. They are keeping their deaths secret, which is why the grave diggers had to be compelled. Their deaths were supernatural, and they don't want to have to explain.
Guys, it has been renewed for season 3. This is a very old thread from February, brought back to the front page for God knows why? Also yes TVD airs the same time as the American Idol results show. That is why the numbers have dropped lately, people are recording and watching later.
I really do not get the too soon to turn point of view. Last summer after season one I started reading the books, and was totally shocked that Elena was turned in the first book. This is now the end of the second season. I know and am very glad the show is not following the books. How is now too soon?
I don't think it is that he hasn't triggered the werewolf curse. As a vampire he has been killing for over 1000 years. His transformation would have been the only way this secret would have been revealed, and the only way the witchs would have known. The spell they cast only made his werewolf side dorment, not that he had never transformed.
Actually, Daniel is not American. He was born in Canada, and raised in New Zealand.
What he actually said was "a way to spare the doppelganger's life". Also then why did Luca tell Bonnie "Elena has to die". Elijah also said a while ago that Klaus has been lokking for a way to break the spell without the doppelganger (but there is none). Elena also told Damon that the ritual will happen.
Yes it means Elena is *dead*, at least Klaus will think so. Maybe it is a spell like the Gilbert ring spell that Elijah was told about 500 years ago. We don't know for sure Elijah hasn't told us yet. Actually, Mistress Northman I was responding to Halde's original post last time.
