Is that a bump I can see?
I don't know if Mags is still here lurking but for you m'love.
This is probably my age and where I am in life but I think it's wrong that anyone would root for a miscarriage or an abortion..even if it is a fictional character. Having a child at 21 does not ruin your life nor does it make a woman any less powerful. One of the most profound ways a woman can show her strength is by having a child and being a mother.
Do I think that the character of Blair (or Chuck or anyone else) is mature enough to be a parent? Of course not but this is the direction they are choosing to go in. Besides these 'kids' have never been normal for their age. You do the crime, you do the time.
Just a quick reply, hm I agree with you there with what you have said about making a woman more powerful once you've had a child. To me I'm not rooting for a miscarrige because even if that were to happen I would still be sad. However I just can't see the writers actually having Blair have the baby. And I don't want Chuck and Blair to get together because of this. I don't think they're mature enough either, but having a baby does make you have to grow up a great deal, and in some way this is what they both may need.
Jane did you get my PM cause I want to discuss with you! My internet is a bit slow, so sorry I keep taking ages to reply. Oh and *happy dances* <3
I kinda understand her. Leaving the pregancy apart (I can't deal with that fuckery at this point), I think she was overwhelmed by the wedding. Mostly when she knew her husband to be didn't support her in such a silly discussion as what flowers would she have. I mean... if you can't trust him to stand by your side in such a stupid thing... how can you expect when there is a serious desicion to make?
When I said that I was talking about the pregnancy, but yes with the wedding, I think she is overwhelmed but is all than anything else, especially since it is a royal wedding if not a 'normal' one. About the whole flowers, font, dress, and food these little details may seem so insignificant to others but to Blair they mean the world. She cares about the intricate details and seeing as it is her wedding she wants everything to be perfect and the way she would want it to be. She was upset that she thought he chose his mother over her, and she must have thought at that point that, that is the way things would always be. Louis choosing Sophie over her. She just wanted to escape the whole wedding debarcle and just try and be herself for a little while without lots of people around her (even if that was to be with Dan).
And even if the baby was Dan's I would like a miscarriage here. Blair is not ready to be a mom and that child will only suffer having unmature parents that can't even have a normal relationship. (This agrees with Louis or Chuck). Plus I hate when a show reunites a couple just because they are having a baby, it's the bigest cliché ever.
IDK If I am to see of baby acutally happen on the show I'd be quite suprised. As you've said it is OOC for her. But this last part so much, and this is one of the main reasons why I hate the whole SL. If they do make Chuck/Blair get back together for the sake of a baby, I will truly be done.
Do you mind if I answer the parts I would like to discusse here? Or would you rather have a PM?
Ahaha up to you m'love
Jane, Tania and Mags for you <33

Overall it was a solid first episode. I am looking forward to the next. It looks to be even more intriguing. I just need a moment to scream… “GG is back!” I am so, so happy.
