    Elena has never been fugly, she just had a cardboard appearance and that made the show hard to take seriously since two guys were fighting over her, it is possible to look hot with straight hair, they just weren't doing it right.

    You just answered your own question. If we hate Matt, then why the hell would we like April? They're like a coin with two heads on each side. I mean we love you but most of us here have a pet peeve with crack ships. while all the Originals are  popular, Kol stands out among them because shipping wasn't needed to boost up his rep. Kol-onnie aside (because this was a rebound ship used by Klonnie fans who got pissed when Klaroline happened). Look at what happened to Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah, they're still awesome, but the relationships and high school crushes nearly ripped off their balls. So why want the same for Kol? And lastly I'll just be shallow here, April is not all that pretty.
