Create another species, make vampire crusadors from 1300s invade MF and enslave everyone, turn Carol into a vampire and have her be an über-evil rippah who scares the shit out of Elijah, Evilaric and Katherine, I don't care, just don't go back on what's been established. The Originals are the oldest vamps. End of story.

Cap't Cardboard the TOOL
I have to admit, I kinda shipped Maroline in season 1... Don't hate on me.
But then, after his drunk, slutty mom went and treated Caroline like rebound crap right in front of him and he just wanted to know if this meant that he wouldn't have to pay his bills anymore, that's when I lost all respect for him(not that I had much in the first place). If you're not man enough to stand up for your girl, at least don't treat her like crap in the next season! Oh, and he had no right to go kill my love Finn. Ugh, and he had the audacity to flirt with Rebekah afterwards!
My hopes for season four is basically Elena killing Matt. Would be nice poetry. Or anyone, really, I just want him dead. He's such a waste of screentime. Maybe he'll slip on the floor in the grill and break his neck on a table! Would be the greatest gif ever

I ship Delena. Then they can get a spinoff, Delena fans will watch that, and the rest of us can watch a wonderfully Elena and Damon free show!
(And if they make Bonnie and Matt join the crazywagon too to be Elena's lady-in-waiting and handyman, everything will be perfect)

Also how the council has apparently been putting vervain in the town's water supply, and yet there's a free-for-all for all vampires, everyone's compellable. When was the last time Klaus, Damon, Stef etc. couldn't bite a girl because she was on vervain? Kinda ironic how the only ones who seem to still be on vervain in this town are Stefan, Damon and probably Caroline(and of course Elena).
Speaking of - why wasn't Bonnie on vervain in 3x20? She's a witch who doesn't trust vampires and yet Alaric got a lovely meal out of her. That's even more stupid than Matt's lack of a health insurance.
Not to mention that according to 2x15 Elena's parents were hardcore vampire hunters, and yet their pretty teen daughter, who'd already been targeted by an original vampire a few years back was very much vervain-free and defenceless.
