1. The demise of serena

   I think the Serena trying to find her dad storyline though does give some insight as to why Serena used to be wild. It's common for girls who don't have a good relationship with their dads to seek this lack of attention in other men. Hopefully, the writers don't stuff up this storyline.

   Also agree with Jkay..more character-driven, less plot-driven..all the other characters would also benefit from this. Probably even Vanessa and people would probably like her more. Although she's more of a supporting role rather than a protagonist, we hardly know anything about her so everything about her just seems really contradictory.

2. Emma joining the crew?

   I think it's kinda good though that the writers introduced her...most of the people Jenny knew/hung out with at some pt are going off to college, etc. It'd be a bit weird introducing a character Jenny and Eric's age next season if it was a current student at Constance Billard/St Judes..better if it was a new student and even better that it's someone we've already been introduced to.

3. OMFG!! Blair&Serena!

   A bit off-topic to this thread but didn't know where to post elsewhere...

   Has anyone noticed in Goodbye Gossip Girl when Serena is packing for her travelling and Blair helping, Blair neatly folds Serena's clothes but then when she hands it to Serena, Serena just messes up the clothes again when putting in her bag? lol

   How will I relate it to this thread...ummm...classic case of opposites attract?

   Anyway, yeah obviously I've been watching GG a bit too many times.

4. Is Leighton a Diva?

   While unfortunately it is a personal choice, I would have to disagree that it should be a personal choice- deciding whether or not to smoke has the potential to bear more negative effects on your health than deciding whether or not say having curly or straight hair.

   Not saying though people should be lectured into quitting (coz that won't work) but rather supported or encouraged to quit. The detrimental effects of smoking not only makes it a difficult time for family and friends of smokers suffering from ill health but puts so much unneccessary stress on health systems around the world. Plus in this case, prevention is better than cure as some of the disease associated with smoking have not cure yet.

5. Is Leighton a Diva?

   Um, Obama used to smoke- he doesn't anymore coz his wife made him quit (don't remember the story behind though).

   And Heath Ledger did not exactly die in stress. He o/d but not because of taking illicit drugs- he was taking a number of prescription drugs not knowing he should not be taking them together because combined they can have a synergistic effect that can prove to be lethal....a mistake that is a real possibility and happens particularly with the elderly who may have to take a number of drugs for their health.

   While Leighton's smoking does not affect my liking for her as an actor, I don't think people on this thread should be condoning her smoking just because she is an actress and that's a stressful job. There are a lot of stressful jobs out there but you don't need to take up smoking to calm yourselves down. There are other stress-releasing things to do out there.
