JennFromCalgary, I completely disagree with just about everything you just said about that episode, and the writers. I thought that the last scene of it was sweet and romantic, and when it might not be dramatic, or passionate, or angsty, it was still amazing! I, for one, think that CB have had enough angst and tension to last a lifetime! And as for, "Sure there were a few cutsie moments", did you watch any of it at all? The little strip tease Blair does for Chuck, just to make him say how he feels about her? Or her refusing to keep her label? That was plenty of passion for me!
Also, I found a few of your statements to be oxy morons of each other. "the true GG fans who are really into this show are waiting for more passion such as like what we saw in season one." and "As the cast matures on this show, season three also bettter start showing some growth!" How exactly would the show be showing growth if they were going back to the way things were in Season 1?
Maybe next time you go on a GG bash, and insult the writers, maybe use "I" statements, instead of going on about how the true GG fans who are really into the show were disappointed with this. I'm not, and I've watched it religiously. So don't make it out that any one who enjoyed it isn't a "true" fan of the show, as if they're some kind of morons. And if you're looking for entire episodes of tension, or passion, or over-the-top dramatics, go read some crappy romance fiction.
let's make mine brief and put NJBC + Dorota in my favourites (but Chuck and Blair are a tad better) and any and all Brooklynites in my least favourites (Rufus and Jenny are there permanently, and Dan is only there ATM because he's being such a pest.) For those of you who might have noticed, Vanessa was not included as a Brooklynite. This is because she is a whole different CLASS of hatred, and I would rather just not include her horrendous character as part of the show.
I just have to thank the writers this episode for:
1.Putting in some Chair scenes (Finally!)
2.All the witty Blair lines ("Poppying Poppy".. Priceless!)
3. Cutting down the Vanessa to a bare minimum.. I wish she could just be cut out completely, but oh well...
I also have to add that Nate needs to know who he's dealing with. Honestly. First of all, for someone who's been best friends with Chuck since kindergarten, practically, he sure underestimates him. Thinking that Chuck would back off JUST because he was getting an apartment for him and Blair? And thinking he could ban Chuck from seeing her? As if!
And him and Blair! Honestly! Expecting her to ride the subway? (I have no qualms with subways, but she sure as hell does!) Thinking she'll pass up a night of scheming to see an apartment? Does he know her at all?
Can't wait until next week!
I AGREE I AGREE I AGREE!!!! Finally, someone who is a whole hearted Chair shipper, with none of the, "I'll admit Nair is cute together..." NO! They aren't!!
Anyway, I noticed a few of these reasons, like Blair's failure to say I love you to Nate, and I don't know what I'm more shocked by, Nate saying that after they'd been in a relationship for about two weeks, or the fact that he didn't even realize when she didn't say it back. I love Nate, but he's not exactly the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree. For example, trying to ban Chuck from seeing Blair? Like that would work!
Eagerly awaiting more!
WHOA WHOA WHOA
just went on to the cw's website, and saw this on the Gossip Girl blog:
Spotted!April 1st, 2009
Spotted: J and N kissing behind a tree near constance/st judes. his tongue was down her throat. wtf?
As, it reads, WTF?!??!?
Sorry, all you Chair shippers like me out there,
but that is not the case.
Living in Canada, I just got to see the latest episode of Gossip Girl, and though some of the things posted up there happened, many of them didn't. I will give everyone a few hints, but no major spoilers (because if you're anything like me, you'll like to know for yourself!! :) )
1. Nate may not have the most secure email password. ( It's soccer, and hasn't been changed since the fifth grade.)
2. Incidentally, Chuck has been Nate's friend since the fifth grade.
3.Jenny's idea of a good sweet sixteen involves Rufus's Chilli, and a good game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos.
4. Serena's idea of a good sweet sixteen is throwing a sophisticated, high class party, just to prove she can.
5. Lily agrees.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! And look forward to discussing properly once everyone's seen it!
