I love TVD too and i gotta say if they keep it that interesting the whole season, it may become CW's number 1 show. But come on this site is dedicated to GG, right?

Gossip Girl is nooooooooooooo way getting more ratings than the vampire diaries and House. It's just that according to CW ratings standards, GG is safer than TVD. It makes sense, GG is CW pennant while other shows like 90210 and Melrose Place are less than average.
As I'm reading this chart, HOUSE is actually the safest show on TV right now! Which definitely makes sense since it was n°1 show last season.

If those things happen in a lot of shows, it's just because that is how it works. To make it last up to 6 seasons , the creators have to play musical chairs. You know, on Friends, the producers tried Rachel and Chandler as a couple but they knew it would have failed from the start, instead they put Monica and that was a major success, who knew? On the other hand, they tried Joey and Rachel and it didn't work (even 5 years later, i still hate this sh*t)

Chair is already endgame, dear. They're saying I love you in EVERY episode. They're rich and in love, that's normally when they said "The end" in fairytale isn't it? What more to expect except a wedding at The Plazza? As I said earlier, if CW plans to stop the show after season 4, then just let CHAIR enjoy their love. But If they're willing to reach a sixth season, they gotta add some challenge in there.
Overall I'm rooting for the show, I really want it to run as long as possible but they can't improve the ratings with a drama-free show.

I think the creators said nothing will happen to CHAIR THIS season and I always saw DAIR as the cliffhanger of this season's finale.
The writers can't be running out of ideas or else they're not that creative. What made the success of GG in season 1? people fooling around just like in Grey's Anatomy. If you watched Beverly Hills at the time, the pairing of Dylan and Kelly upset everyone including me, I hated Kelly so much but that became a crucial storyline when Shannen became a diva and got fired; then they paired Kelly and Brandon, Claire and David then Claire and Steeve. Unexpected couples is the key to keep a show (a teen opera in this case) on the rails. I love CHAIR and I think they will end together but there's no way they won't be separated anytime soon. But you have to agree that since there is "piece in the kingdom" , the show is really boring. They 're rich, they're college students and so what?
Except the fact that DAIR can happen, I'm really rooting for those two, they pairing can definitely bring a new breath to both characters. They are like North and South, how interesting could it be to see Blair hating to love Dan? Hiding her feelings, lying to Serena... If the creators plan to stop the TV series after season 4, okay let it go. But they would definitely miss something here.
Blair and Chuck will end together because they are soulmates. Same as Serena and Dan. But there's something fresh which might appear between Dan and Blair. Something really disturbing, the kind of thing we would hate to love.
No matter how people are fighting against this, DAIR is goona happen, did you see in "Rufis gettin married" when Dan was talking to Blair abour Georgina , Chuck came by and they started dancing, Chuck ignored Dan (as usual) and the latter almost fell on the guitarist. This was an eye-opener people.
Dair ought to happen. it's a TV show. Get over it.
