      Its not about watching it for free. They are speciffically targeting fanbase. Music videos, fan trailers, forums, websites, fansites, etc.

      That has mostly to do with Fox/Whedon feud that is(has been) going on - FOX wanted Buffy to go in certain direction, whedon bassically went "fuck you i am writing and creating it not you guys" and the horror started. FOX made sure to screw over every whedon tv show and the guys from FOX are still working hard to erase buffy from internet (every video that even mentions buffy nowadays has at least 85% chance of getting removed by FOX, and the guys are known to send cease-and-desist notices to buffy/firefly fansite owners)

      That would be too huge of a spoiler to spoil :) Let's just repeat that TVD loves taking BTVS plotlines. :)

8899. Bad Boy Damon is back for Season 3!!

      Bonus points if he gets to:

      • Harass Caroline.
      • Emotionally Torture Elena.
      • Beat up Damon.
      • Kill a named and important cast member(Alaric? going the full circle from Damon-kills-Lexi stuff).
      • Being awesome evil and great at that.
      • NOT crying too much.
      • TO NOT HAVE "AWW I AM BROKEN" SPEECHES DAMON HAD.

8900. Bad Boy Damon is back for Season 3!!

      My most wished and best possible outcome:

       

      Ripper Steffan gets to kill someone important in the cast, goes completely evil, at some point betrays Klaus and takes over as the season's villain for now. :P
