  1. Whats your favorite show?

Lets just say I first watched when I was around 12 or 13 and it gave me nightmares.

Nightmares? just nightmares? I still fear to re-watch that show. Its the litteral embodiment of "when you gaze into abyss" saying...When one watches Twin Peaks, the Twin Peaks looks into one's soul... :[

Its literally Buffy's "restless" episode, but on even more drugs, less sense and more art...

Twin Peaks is really one of the best show ever created

Agreed. Whedon did too, considering the whole "Restless" episode was pretty much like that(but then again, most of the foreshadowing or dream stuff in BTVS was reminiscent of that)

But the common teen viewer might just go crazy;)

Or they would just not get it. I mean, how many people did NOT get the whole "Buffy/Faith" being each other's "portrait of dorian gray"  thing? and similar stuff.

what do u mean by 'crazy'???

crazy=insane. Twin Peaks is bassically Lost on drugs(a lot of drugs). the show is highly phylosophical murder mistery with strange blend of supernatural and horror elements. And the show does not give ANY answers. Its bassically a rabbits hole. The further one goes, the more confused one gets, till the ending hits and even the things that one knew are no longer clear.

To make it clear.... How much of this do you get and understand? Twin peaks is about million times harder to understand and makes a lot less direct sense. and there's entire show of that out there...

  3. Whats your favorite show?

Veronica Mars was great(except then it became not so great). Writers pretty much took concept of Buffy's character and applied it into not-supernatural world and they succeeded at that mostly(minus the character depth buffy had).

Veronica Mars, La Femme Nikita, BTVS, Moonlight, Game of Thrones, Rome, Sopranoes, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, The Kings  - these are pretty much THE must for any sane person.

  4. Whats your favorite show?

Each season has 10 episodes. Going by the book ammounts(first season is first book, second will be second, third and fourth are the third book, and then another 4 books, so total of 8 seasons if the show lives long enough). Currently it has finished its first season and filming the second.

is the acting good? how about costumes and all that?

Here is behind the scenes video about costumes and sets. To give a clear answer, the show was nominated for emmy this year for its costume designs(as well as 13 other nominations it snagged).

  6. With the Game of Thrones, You win or You die. No Middle Ground

Its bassically a story set in a fictional continent of westeros in the country known as Seven Kingdoms. Think "Sopranoes in medieval europe".

The main plot focuses around about a dozen of noble families all vying for either military or political power in the kingdom.

The story starts when Jon Arryn, current advisor(called "the hand") of the king mysteriously dies. King, Robert Baratheon, despite the wishes of his wife, decides to appoint his old war buddy, Eddard "Ned" Stark into that position. Hesitantly accepting the position, Ned slowly finds himself drawn deeper into the conspiracy that surrounds the murder of Jon Arryn. Digging deeper into the realm of royal intrigues, he unknowingly sets off a chain of events that will impact the whole continent.

At the same time, on the other side of the sea, a twins in exile start a journey to reclaim their lost position of power their family had in the past of Seven Kingdoms.

At the same time, far in the north, behind the Wall, a giant-megastructure that predates time, there are rumors of beings who have not walked this earth for thousands of years returning...echoing the House Stark slogan, "winter is coming".

  7. Whats your favorite show?

watched some episodes of Supernatural and i didn't really like it, idk, i just didn't get hooked. I did love some episodes where ' ruby' was this blonde girl

If you liked her, well, you did a right decision to NOT watch the show. After third season, the show degraded into a very mysoginistic(every female so far introduced either dies or is evil and dies) and empty thing dragging out for multiple seasons of nothing.

question: game of thrones is that good? should i watch it?

Its bassically Sopranoes in Medieval Fantasy Kingdom. You have about a dozen of noble families, all with their own agendas trying to gain political or military power. It all full of intrigue, unexpected twists and horrible horrible fates that fall on characters. And then in contrast of that there is an ongoing huge misteries and a far more supernatural threat from behind "The Wall".

If you can like characters who are complete jerks and bastards(since pretty much entirety of the cast are manipulative backstabbers) then I say go for it. Its THE best series to start airing since btvs, imo, and HBO managed to get a huge cast list of well known actors(like Boromir from LOTR) to star there.

  8. Whats your favorite show?

    @Pennywise

    Agreed. Moonlight was awesome.

It was nice for ONCE to see a Human/Vampire pairing that IS NOT IN SOME WAY DYSFUNCTIONAL. Not to mention that Mick, even if good guy, still was 100% fitting the definition of hundreds years old dangerous vampire.

The major problem was obviously that it was made in "after-buffy era" (2003-2010), where dozens of shows with similar premise and elements would spring up and die VERY fast. Sadly Moonlight bit the dust, but even the small bit we got(the first season) was beyond awesome.

    @Delena4eva

Well, the first season of true blood is  bassically "let's jump everyone's bones every chance the show gives us!", with ocasional comedic intermissions, buffy references and culture puns on various things. Second season (tried to) add more plot, but overall the show did not have(apart from the one who plays Eric) any sort of believable or good actors.

  9. Whats your favorite show?

Anyone here who watch True Blood? I've never watched it, it's a vampire show, i love vampires. So is it a good show? Btw @ damonsucksmyworld you forgot about the competition for this week :o ??

Its bassically a semi-serious sitcom with lots of sex and random stuff thrown in, alongside a million and half of btvs references. True Blood is A VERY overrated thing, to be honest.

  10. With the Game of Thrones, You win or You die. No Middle Ground

So, Good news. THEY finally have chosen actress to play blood priestess clad in red and  Jon Snow's arch-nemesis, mentor, co-schemer and temptation known as Melisandre:

A famous dutch  actress, Carice Van Houten(who is best known for her lead role in WWII-epic, Black Book) has been cast as Melisandre.

Which is a very good choice, considering pretty much majority of her roles have been certified manipulative femme fatales. Of course she will need to get more red in her hair, but thats just semantics :P

    And also:

    Stannis Baratheon:

Stephen Dillane, also a very high-profile actor.
