i agree with jenny on this one, totally. (: i'm not a nair fan at all, and i think that she has a much deeper, more meaningful connection with chuck. plus the fact of the promise she made to chuck. i really hope she doesn't go back to nate, because i'll have a hard time watching. and that would suck, because i love gg lots <3

they aren't a couple right now, because obviously, they've hit a road block
with the death of chuck's father. and chair, is definately more than an elaborate
game of cat and mouse. yes, the cat and mouse game has been going on
for a while now. i understand your point there, but there are so many scenes
with them, that convey that it is much more than a cat and mouse game.
if it was just a cat and mouse game, would blair tell chuck she loved him?
i think not. if it was just a cat and mouse game, would she be there for him
when his father died? no. if it was just a cat and mouse game, wouldn't chuck
have given up on it along time ago, and moved on to the trillion other girls
who he could be playing a simmilar game with. yeah he would have. but
its more than just a cat and mouse game. they love eachother, and i don't see
how you could say that there's nothing there but a cat and mouse game.
and their simmilarities give an interesting twist to the whole thing, in my opinion.
they fight fire with fire, yet they love eachother with the same passion they fight with.
and yes, i do believe that eventually they'll be together as a couple. they won't fall
flat, for all the reasons i've stated. and could you please tell me, how chuck and blair
don't have a 'ring of truth' to their relationship? their relationship is the most raw, emotional
one on the show. they've got problems. they aren't perfect, just as real life relationships never
can be. they fall prey to their own imperfections as they attempt to come closer together.
in my opinion, that makes them quite a realistic couple. and oh, about that last commment?
i think its quite dumb of you to insinuate that i'm young, because i have a different opinion
than you. and yes, i have been in a couple, thank you very much. being 22, i've been in many.
and i still don't think dan and serena are more realistic. so sorry, but your logic there, is flawed.

i'm twenty two, although i don't see what that has to do with anything, other than you attempting to appear in control of the situation, if in fact you are older.
i wasn't saying that you said he was a bad actor, i was merely stating why he got so much screen
time. obviously, the writers/producers, are giving the actors whose story lines and portrail appeal more to the audience, more screen time.

Dan-Serena vs. Chuck-Blair
alright, so i'm not going to go all dan/serena bashing here, even though i'm a major chair fan. i guess i've never really been able to warm up to dan and serena because in my opinion, they lack depth. sure, we all know they're meant to be together, and i hope they stay together, because its tiring to watching them break up, and make up over the same thing. repeatedly. also, to me, as much as some people find the dan serena romance to be sweet and endearing, i just tend to find it mushy, and a little bit disgusting at times. i'm just not into the whole 'oooh we love each other lets make out everywhere' thing. i don't know. to me, it lacks some sort of depth.
chuck and blair on the other hand, have a relationship that both, keeps us guessing, and has a lot of depth. chuck and blair have amazing chemistry, never leave us bored, their personalities fit together, they're obviously in love beyond the stupid trivial things of high school, and as much as they fight, and plot against eachother, it doesn't change the fact that they love eachother. chuck and blair are more raw, and they perfectly demonstrate how no relationship is perfect. they're both imperfect people, who love each other, even though they know each other's flaws, down to the core. they're funny, exciting, hot as hell, and have so many layers. they didn't just jump into love. they've known each other forever, and slowly fallen in love. they're not like dan and serena, in the way that they aren't the happy little chiche fairy tale ending. their love isn't a fairy tale, its a mess at times, but honestly, its real. its deep, and its incredible.
sure, they fight. the plot. they manipulate and they banter quite viciously at times. but that doesn't mean they're any less 'in love' than dan and serena, as some of you have said. it just them. its their personalities that clash, yet some how fit together. they're not afraid to be themselves around eachother. blair knows exactly who chuck is, and even though at times she resents it, she loves him for it. chuck feels the exact same about blair.they don't become different people, for eachother, as dan and serena have in the past. they are who they are, and hence, why they manipulate, and fight like hell, yet can still manage to love eachother.
i think they're completely amazing together, as you can tell. there are just so many things about them, that to me, make them the superior couple. i have so much fun watching them, and honestly, they're my reason for watching. i'm a complete chair fan(: not that i hate d/s or anything.
and this is related to kisskas's comment:
i'm not really sure how you could find chuck and blair boring, especially next to a couple that BREAK UP OVER THE EXACT same thing repeatedly, but i guess that's your problem. the writers certainly do not find chair boring, as they wouldn't continue to put them together, nor tell people in interviews how much they've enjoyed the chair coupling (stephanie savage said this in an interview). and no, 90% of us would not decide to find them boring. chair fan's love for them isn't about just the fighting, and the manipulation, but its about the true love that they have for eachother. a love that's not going anywhere but stronger, if they do infact find themselves in a relationship. and i don't think that's how a relationship between them would work out. hello, they're more than sex, and scheming. i'm sorry, but that wouldn't have kept them in limbo for so long. i'm not even sure that you're watching the same show that i am, but if you are, you would have seen last night's episode, with the chuck blair roof scene. try to tell me, after watching that, that they have no emotional connection, and would thrive in a relationship off of manipulation and sex.
so obviously, as you can tell, i'm a huge chuck blair fan (:

this is directed toward kisskas's comment, in case you couldn't tell.
since you obviously have a hard time being able to know a great acting job when you
see one, let me explain this to you. ed westwick gets screen time, because he's an
AMAZING ACTOR. see? was that such a hard concept? didn't think so. he brings depth to his character like none of the other male actors on the show do, and he portriats the many different
sides of chuck with perfection. nate always has the same expression on his face. dan is an okay actor. but ed westwick, absolutely blows them all away. hence, the writers give him more screen time. makes perfect sense to me.
and as far as what you think of him looks wise, thats up to personal preference, i guess. but i for one, think he's absolutely amazing looking. and as much as i like robert pattinson, ed's hotter. hope i didn't offend anyone.

AHHHHH IM SICK OF DAN AND SERENA!!!
okay, so since i'm a pretty big chair fan, i have to say something to that last comment. they dragged out the i love you's because both of them were scared. which to me, seems PERFECTLY in character, given the fact that chuck's never been in love before, and blair's last relationships didn't end well. it makes perfect since to me, and i think that if they would have rushed into the 'i love you's' it would have been out of character for them.
the reason that they don't put chuck and blair together right now, is not because we'd get bored. because let me tell you, they could give them a lot of storylines, still involving them together, and i sure as hell wouldn't be bored. the reason that they aren't together, is becuase they're trying to be realistic with the characters, once again. chuck just lost his dad, and already lost his mom. do you think he's going to go jump into a relationship? makes no sense, what so ever. he's a mess from his father's death, and he surely isn't ready to commit to anything when he's high or drunk half the time. right now, blair's helping him through the pain he's going through, and i think that will lead them into a relationship, later on.
and as far as the mushy gushy dating thing goes, no they wouldn't be mushy gushy. they wouldn't be chair if they were. they'll still be their same bitchy selves, but with a tad more attatchment to one another. they certainly won't be your typical couple, but they'll be romantic in their own way, as they already are. they won't become the next dan and serena, or anything, constantly being mushy all over the place. it just wouldn't be them.
i think that dan and blair would be funny to see together once or twice, just for laughs, but i do think that blair is meant to be with chuck. they're personalities fit together, they bring out sides of each other that we hadn't sen before, their chemistry is amazing, and they just have a connection.
yeah, so didn't mean to offend anyone. just thought i'd tell you what i think.

Did Something Happen with Blair and Jack???
i seriously hope that blair didn't do anything with jackk :[ because that would be awful for chair, and would be so stupid, since they've already put chuck through hell. here's what i think.i think that jack might be messing with chuck in order to get ahold of the company. its kind of obvious that jack is looking to take ahold of bass industries. and he could, if chuck completely went off the deep end. and he knows the only thing keeping chuck sane, is blair. so i think that maybe jack is telling chuck that he fooled around with blair in order to try to ruin chuck and blair. and i think that what blair actually told jack not to tell chuck is something different. if that makes any sense, lol. it was kind of hard to explain(:
