I'm predicting Nate/Bree/Carter.
The Beautiful Life premiered to 1.4 Million last night. Melrose got 1.5 on Tuesday, so GG is definitely safe for now.
No, this is VERY good. The CW must be proud because they're doing something right. The CW network's priority is 18-34 women, and Gossip Girl delivered that demo perfectly. It's not a high overall number, but what show on The CW does? iTunes is also a big factor because it'll be making quite a bit of money with it being #1 each week.
We have nothing to fear. If GG aired on FOX, NBC or ABC and got 2.5, then it would be a cause for alarm. It's pretty much on average for what S1 and the last half of S2 got.
'lose it's audience' wtf? it's a quick, one time thing for comedy value. if he does do it for blair, i think it can also be seen as a sweet thing. it's not as if they're setting chuck up to leave blair and enter a gay relationship.
my god, some gg fans are just nuts.
Ugh, some of you are seeing this wrong. It's no secret that Gossip Girl's ratings aren't exactly fantastic, especially for The CW. But what this show does best, and relies on, is creating buzz. That's why Gossip Girl is up there with shows such as Desperate Housewives and LOST, because it generates lots of news despite having a low viewership. I imagine the producers are just trying to create buzz for the new season by hiring celebrities, because it'll interest people to tune in. Whether you like them or not, it's going to benefit the show.
I don't think that's necessarily the cover, it may just be a default promo picture until they have the actual cover. Two reasons - 1) it doesn't say 'Gossip Girl Season 2' etc and 2) it's quite an old picture and would make sense for a recent one to be used.
I could be wrong though. It is a cool photo though! Just missing Vanessa.
Ugh, my post was a fail in spelling!^
That was my first thought oo teryngg, but realistically it shouldn't be the case. It probably would have been out of common courtesy not to go, but Leighton's affairs shouldn't have to effect their careers too - so I don't see why their publicists would have stopped them from turning up. If anything, it could have turned the attention back to the new series of GG. I'm sure their management could have been the topic from beging brought up before-hand as well.
Poor girl :(
