^^Maybe it's because of the fact that she has a vamp boyfriend with a wamp bro. I think that she just wanted to get back to a little reality and live life without these supernatural elements. When she said "safe", I interpreted it as safe within her own mental well-being, probably even more than her physical well-being. No matter how much you love someone, I think that we all need a break from time to time, and time on your own can help you develop your own thoughts and wants/ needs.

LMAO. Why blame Elena if Damon is boring? If there`s one thing Damon is a champion of, it`s free will. Elena doesn`t make anyone anything. It`s like Damon can do no wrong. Yeesh. With regards to hating Elena, I dont. I`m not a fan per say, but I`m not an Elena hater at all. I just wish she was more interesting. She`s not an engaging character. ^^Couldn't agree more The one thing that I like about her is that she wants to make her own decisions, and that she had the guts to break up with Stefan when needed.About the way she's treating Damon..like, I know he's very very hot and is trying to save her life..but he did kill her brother (even if he didn't die). I don't think that's something you can just move on from

I don't like the way she treats Damon, but I don't hate her because of it....I understand her. Yes, the way she treates him gets on my nerves, but how would you treat the guy that turned your mum, killed your brother and tried to hurt everything you love??? Yes, he's changed and now everything he does is to protect her and he's saved her like a 1000 times but still, she's not gonna forget everything he's done, as much as I would love her to forget it.... She's got a long way to go until she realises that she feels something for him and until she's completely forgiven him.
