Dare to Dair?
@V.V
Haha it was really funny! I woke up in such a good mood.
@Hanna
Was that in regards to what happens between Serena and Blair that changes the fabric of the show? What context did Safran say it, I can't remember.

@Forever-Young
You know what's really funny, I had a dream about Gossip Girl last night too. Which means I'm spending way too much time thinking about it!
Chuck ruined my sisters wedding in my dream. He basically got the groom deported. And then I was so mad I was going to call my best friend who happend to be Blair. In my phone her name was "Waalf" (Waldorf?) Haha NO idea. Anyway Dan and Blair came over to try and help me fix it.
You're sounds a bit more interesting than mine. Haha although I'd be said if Dan left for Rome without B.

Congrates to GG!!
We also have to take in to account that CW has been on downward trend as a whole. Not only does GG lose viewers each year but every show does. They lose a lot in the younger demographics because we are labeled the "online generation". Everything is avialable online, and younger vieweres are no longer tuning in iive. Which is why CW/WB were in workings with Netflix for a billion dollar deal to stream shows that are currently on now and their past seasons up until 2015. But that was back in October so it obviously didn't go through.
- Anywho, you could argue last season was the Serena show, at least for the majority of the season, it started to shift in the later half episodes. But we invested so many episodes into the Ben/Juliette SL, had to endure the Serena/Nate/Dan show then Serena/Colin, then Nate/Dan/Serena, then Serena/Ben. Only to be introduced to another half ass SL with the Thorpes (the worst SL in my opinion).
I'm not saying the writing hasn't been lacking this season, and yes Gossip Girl has been lacking in the take downs and the core friendships between all of our awesome characters this season, but they have made some slight improvements. Instead of erasing Ivy from us after a 10 episode arc, they've continued her story since the end of S4. Diana Payne is connected into a season long storyline that could prove to get really interesting up until the finale. Chuck and Dan's dynamic has been awesome since S5 picked up.
- Some fans might not find the whole Secret Society intriguing but I do. It's bringing continuity from S2, some great characters together. We've never seen Jack and Bart interact before. And I've always wondered why these powerful UES elitist haven't tried to take GG down, or have a huge offense with it. Their children who reflect on them, are being targeted by an anonymous gossip site that can be used as leverage to them all, and we've never really seen anyone's POV (besides Lily), or why they are just okay with it?
To me Serena and Blair's freindship has lacked since S4 when Blair kissed Dan the first time, and Serena tried to sabotage Blouis, and defended Chuck. We've seen them argue every season, both of them making mistakes, which ended in them fighting to make their friendship work because of their life-long connection, their family. This season they haven't exactly fought, they've been more quick to get over it without acknowledging what's really wrong. In S2 they tried to forget each other, S3 they said they were growing up and growing apart, but neither times lasted very long. Now since S4 niether of them have had eachothers best interests as a priority. Serena has been struggling with Dan's feelings for Blair ever since his book was published. She tried to get Blair and Louis back together so she could stop Dan from spilling his guts, she wasn't acting in Blair's defense. She took the blame for that video to defend Chuck, allowing Blair to think the worst of her. She made the idea to pretend date Dan for her own agenda, getting Dan to spend time with her. And Blair has been selfish not really interested in Serena's life at all, they haven't trusted each other, and it's shown all season. And I think Serena confronting Blair about her feelings for Dan was only the beginning. They will start to unravel and it will be a huge issue that leads to the finale.
- I think this season has had its ups and downs, and the downs being much further down, than usual. But this is still premature, we have a lot of episodes to go and Blair is no longer fickle, Serena has been stuck in a rut but she will prevail, Chuck has seen his worst fear realized (truly losing Blair), and the rest of the season could be awesome. The next episodes could really pull it together and give those of you who have a problem with the lack of screen time with Serena and Chuck a real reason to tune in having nothing to do with ships.

Dare to Dair?
@No Second troy
Thanks for those links. Since I wasn't a big online shipper in S4 but seriously thought I must be crazy after seeing Blair and Chuck at the bar mitzvah after that episode, it's good to see that people voiced their concern! I didn't ship Chair in S1&S2 because I thought Chuck was just an ignorant asshole and I did not see the chemistry, I didn't ship them in S3 & S4 because it was unhealthy, abusive, and recycled.
I think we've moved past this point hopefully for good. I'm going to go watch a few Dair videos now!

Dr.Why
In my scenario Blair chooses Dan. I don't think Chuck will die but since the fate of one of our characters is up in the air but let's say the hospital spoiler is true, I think Chuck gets hurt. From now to the finale Blair and Serena friendship tension will continue to build and a showdown will happen in the finale. Dan is going to Rome, and Blair is unsure whether to stay or go, Serena tells her she is no longer apart of her family, Blair goes to Rome with Dan. S6 will return to GG roots, Blair and Serena on the outs, more focus on school and their future careers, and the NJBC +D as a whole. More family parties, events, as our core five struggle to get back to all being friends. I think Serena and Nate will end up together. And I think Chuck will get a new love interest. And Blair and Dan will go through some bumps, might break up for a short time, but ultimately will end the series together.

Past OTPs
Smallville - Clana (epitomised epic)
I couldn't agree more.
It wasn't til Dair came along that I felt like I could ship a OTP again.
