For one its quite obvious that werewolves STARTED with druid shifters - certain cults of druids were said to be able to shift into animals, bears, wolves, etc, ala indian shamans.
Its quite clear that htey are going to explore and explain how wolves started soon considering we have druids now.
Boy don't test me. How in the HELL is it "quite obvious" when the word druid was just mentioned LAST EPISODE in the THIRD SEASON??? You need to realize that no one takes quite the large leaps in logic that you do because we don't have all the information. Its a good theory BUT it is far from obvious.
Second of all - we KNOW its psychological - that's why Kanima became kanima and not a wolf. and why Kanima became wolf once psychological issues were solved. Everything so far hints towards a PSYCHIC nature of werewolf power manifestation.
Fair enough, but you seem to forget that this show is also about MAGIC not just about psychology and i refuse to believe that simply THINKING about something can produce results in this world. And another thing, its moot to use one COMPLETELY DIFFERENT scenario to justify your argumant for another. We don't know how much magic or psychology is mixed up in Scott's prophecy futute alpha shit. So stop stating that things are obviously. If you're gonna do that, say its obvious to YOU. Cause i am not gonna pull a Dereck and jump in and assume shit when all the pieces have yet to enter the chess board.
he is Joffrey
If you mean the thing born of incest from GOT then the only thing he has in common with that mole rat is that he is waaaaay too full of himself. After that the comparisons end. From all accounts his pack fear and respect him. No one fears the rat.
YOu are assuming that for Scott to become alpha, someone has to GIVE Up alpha powers?
I'm sure you did not read that anywhere in my posts. Don't put words in my mouth. Obv no one in their right mind would give up being an alpha. If Dereck is gonna be striped of his powers for referring to another or because some members of his pack reffer to Scott's opinions then what exactly is the binding thread that holds the Alpha as the leader?
*from beta to alpha that should be. OOPS
Alphas HAD to start somehow, right? Who would first alpha kill if it was all just killing? Who would SECONd alpha kill? If it was only killing there would only be one alpha TOTAL.
You see, here i would tend to agree because its logical. But this show is TERRIBLE with explaining ANYTHING, much less the origins of the werewolf race and HOW exactly one can supposedly evolve or devolve from one state to the other 3. My understanding of the omega situation as Gerard put it was you could choose to leave your pack and be omega's or your pack could have been killed off. That is all we have ever gotten on the inner working of a pack. Making theroies based on what we DON'T know is a waste of time so for me this is the perfect scenario. There are 5 alphas in the Alpha pack, that we know of, Scott is going to kill one and take their powers. If Scott is gonna shift from alpha to beta any other way there better be a damn good explanation
LOL OK. Lets just agree to disagree shall we. You think the scene was magnificiently overdone and that gave it its awesomeness and we think it was just magnificently overdone and nothing else. I've always preferred my villians to be on the silent side while eerily delivering ultimatums instead of shouting from the rooftops why you should be scared of them. But ok.
where have you been? EVERYONE already follows Scott.
Evne freaking Derek respects and follows him.
Derek might have alpha powers, but Scott has been the TRUE alpha of the lead cast, for quite some time.
THATS MY POINT DUDE!!!
Is the alpha just gonna mysteriously loose his glowing red eyes and physical abilities to Scott JUST because he refers to his opinions???? I THINK NOT! And if so that would be beyond LAME and i would stop watching the show immediatly. I'm not talking about Scott being an "emotional' alpha. I'm talking about him being red eyes ALPHA ALPHA. And if it just takes people to stop listening to the one that killed for the alpha position (Dereck) and start listening to the nice guy who hasn't killed anyone (Scott) then that would be LAME! He has to kill someone for me. If the show changes that criteria and doesn't replace it with something cooler than a freaking emotional election then HELLS TO THE NO!
Dude I have this feeling the alpha pack will turn on Deucalion tho, do you? Like mid finale or so I doubt it. But it depends on what his plans are and if the pack FULLY knows what they are and are not conflicted about it
Yeah but being a beta he can't force them to follow him so if this theory is correct he's just not gonna wake up one morning with red eyes. They have to voluntarily start to follow him. Thats where my "election" quote comes from.
That's a good theory why don't you believe it? Plus isaacs sudden loyalty and trust to Scott could be adding up to him being an alpha. There has to be hints before his eyes turn red you know
I just think its too simple. Yet the simpliest things often start the best chain reaction. I'm not ruling it out but Alpha by election just seems lame to me.
