Is this the same idiot who, in another thread, said what movie critics say don't matter? I guess the opinion of a magazine is completely different from a movie critic. Obviously, a magazine/editor's opinion counts while a movie critic's opinion doesn't count.
The Tourist is up for Best Comedy/Musical for the Golden Globes. And Angelina Jolie is up for Best Actress for it. No one in the film industry is shocked or laughing at Golden Globes for putting those two on their nomination list. Poor Gary Oldman for never having been nominated for a Golden Globe but for having been nominated for the British Academy Awards and Emmy Awards.
I must go and rip up my LM fanclub card. Obviously I'm too shallow to be her fan since I want to see her in bigger and better movies. I guess all those people happy to see Ed Westwick cast in Clint Eastwood's movie with Leonardo DiCaprio and company are heavily misguided also.
Out of curiosity, I looked up Oldman. Golden Globe Awards don't impress me. Academy Awards ok. He has been nominated for awards (and not the Teeny Bopper Awards where it's usually just teenagers voting for the hottest looking person a billion times over). He was nominated for and won BAFTA awardswhich is like the British version of the Oscars He was also nominated for an Emmy for guest starring on Friends and I'm not bored enough to look at the rest of his stuff. If you're going to use an example, use one that fits well and does fit the description.
You disagree with wanting her to get into movies that would get her more recognition from other people? Alright lol. I think most/all her projects so far (the movies that go straight to DVD or I've never heard of but I found on Walmart sites when I decided to look her up) are beneath her. Perish the thought that if she gets into a bigger movie (Box Office or critic wise) it might better her chances to get meatier roles.
I wish I listened to all the critics and people when they said Avatar: The Last Airbender sucked. What a waste of my time and money.
I wish Leighton would get some movies that are either Box Office hits or loved by critics everywhere. Here's hoping her good performance in a semi-universally lukewarmly received Country Strong catapults her to better things.
My bad- I posted a reply to the first page. Semi new poster here (sorry) :(
They can do a suicide episode. Vanessa can kill herself. RIP troll. Your uselessness on the show will be missed.
By reading about it on forums, I'm guessing. You won't be able to see the actor chemistry and nuances, but, by reading on the forums, you can see if the writers are still writing stupid nonsensical stories and recycling plots they used three seasons ago.
and ooops at my other grammatical errors plus being too lazy to use capitalization.
i agree with elena. i like chuck and blair together (fave chars and couple) but some of the chair fans make me cringe.
i'd also like to point out to the op that blair wanted chuck to seduce and destroy vanessa in season 2. although her jealousy got the better of her later but i think the jealousy stemmed from seeing chuck develop feelings for vanessa and not from the idea of them sleeping together. and the characters treat sex differently. nate and chuck have tons of partners while blair has had less than 5? chuck, nate, jack, carter? i'm pretty sure nate and chuck wouldn't be too offended if a friend/not significant other (like blair was at that point) asked either of them to sleep with other women for whatever purpose she wanted.
i knew blair was going to ask nate to schlup (hey her step father is jewish hahahaha) with her boss. but that butt grabbing scene was really cute. of course, had it been the other way around, a nate grabbing blair's butt and encouraging her to seduce his boss, people might be mad.
