rivaled Derena's ILY scene
whoops. I meant, paralleled obviously.
Is it just me, or was that episode as a whole actually really quite good. I genuinely liked every single storyline tonight, which is rare. I loved semi-evil Lily, and her teaming up with Ivy. Serena's scene with her dad was great, also. Dair were a bit meek in the beginning, but their last scene together was splendid. (also, I did have this twisted satisfaction that it rivaled Derena's ILY scene as well. You know, without the ILY part-but it was still quite lovely)
Nate was hilarious, but I was really glad he had an important sl tonight. And honestly, I did even feel a twinge of pity for Chuck. I mean, first, Blair screwed his uncle, then Nate screwed his 'mom,' and now it turns out that Blair slept with his dad. I know we all joke about the cesspool that has become of these characters, but I won't ever feel the need to complain again when it's this juicy...
Soo loves me, for me!!!!
If I can't be judgemental Dan, I'd like to be Secretive as well ;)
It tickles my fancy that I can't live outside this forum and come back a few days later * unless it's because I can't refute any arguments made agaisnt mine

(or I guess I'm just assuming that claim was made for me?)
For people who claim that they despise when subjects always take a turn for ship wars, I see those same people fully involved in every one of them. I guess once it has started, it's hard not to jump in while criticizing the very act you're just embarking upon.
Elle, perhaps you could take your own advice and not assume I won't be interested in your opinion because I'm such an ass. Like I mentioned in my post, it wasn't so much that Chair fans may or may not have been angry with Chuck before- it's simply that this specific distaste for Blair is a lot more than what it was for Chuck back then.
Blair breaks it off with Chuck and he's supposed to remain celibate or something? And yet, Blair has three guys after her and she's also yo-yoing between those men because she can't, or won't, straighten out her feelings (I should note here i make no intention to claim any specific feelings for any specific person she may have at this point) and she's suddenly the worst character in the show. That's not sexist, at all. Look, we all have ship goggles, it's true. But is it fair to say that this outrage would exist had Blair chosen Chuck instead of Dan, while still being married to Louis? Honestly, I do not think so.
As far as complaints for Blair going back to her season four self and whatnot, I find it a shame that during the fourth season, the only thing a lot of you guys wanted was Chair back together. It seems you could have enjoyed that particular sl more had you known what season 5 would bring. And if there is a sl brought up again with a powerful Blair-allow me to assume all I want- it probably wouldn't be as satisfactory if she's still with Dan during that, will it?
I'm all for complaints about inconsistency and lack of POV's, but I'm also not blinded by the real reason behind most of these complaints coming up all of a sudden.
It's just so funny to me that I don't remember such complaints by Chair fans in regards to the baby prostitutes in his office, that nanny from season 2, Eva, or Raina. I heard complaints about Chuck's dismissive behaviour towards Blair during those times from other fans of the show- including Dair fans- but there wasn't this much upsirising from the Chair fans towards Chuck back then. Sure, they'll come in this minute and try to tell us otherwise, how they were upset at Chuck for being fickle (same term used for Blair right now) back then, but there's no way their complaints were as awful about Chuck as they are now about Blair.
But then again, none of those women were regular cast members, and neither of them held the potential threat to their ship. So, it makes sense, I guess.
