Sigh, I miss the epicness of S1
Agreed! I miss actually liking Chuck. Honestly, in Season One when he saw Nate and Blair together at cotillion, I felt really bad for him.
Compared to tonight when he got shot, and I laughed in retribution and hoped that he wouldn't be found too quickly so he could lay there alone and in pain for awhile.
LOL, how about that one episode synopsis that read, “after many failed attempts, Chuck makes one last grand gesture to reconcile with Blair…”?
More like: "After weeks of sleeping with prostitutes and feeling sorry for himself, Chuck decides to make the grand romantic gesture of hanging out at the ESB for five minutes."
I am going to go with what Blair said "This night didn't happen". Right now denial is the only way people are going to watch Season 4.
Three cheers for selective amnesia!
Also, I don't know if anyone else noticed this but...
This is Gossip Girl, a show about a gossip column that everyone reads from their cell phones. From their CELL PHONES...So why didn't Blair just call Chuck to tell him she'd be late because Dorota had her baby?
Oh right, because that would get in the way of the character assassinations.
I'm still on the Chair shipper train, but I'm just angry and a little nauseous that all of this Jack and Jenny drama had to be part of their story.
And do you think Jenny's going to come back pregnant next season. Because that'll just be abso-fucking-lutely fantastic. (And she and Georgie can shop together and look for furniture.)
I think if that happened it would be official proof that the writer's want us all to hate them, haha.
I'm curious...did anyone who saw the whole episode actually feel bad for Chuck when he got shot?
I assume that the writers added that in to garner him some sympathy, but all I could do was hope he wasn't brought to the hospital too quickly, so I'm wondering if anyone else had a different reaction.
Josh Schwartz said that this finale was "EPIC" , so kill him please.
More accurately, EPIC FAIL.
I can't say that I don't want Chuck and Blair to end up together, even after everything that's happened, but I hate that all of this Jack and Jenny crap is part of their story. It was hard enough to watch the whole Blair/Carter then Blair/Nate and Chuck/Vanessa debacle last year, but this is just...ew. The only thing keeping me on the Gossip Girl train is my good imagination and selective memory - basically I'm firmly in the position than Chuck wouldn't have sold Blair for a hotel in the first place, so none of this ever happened.
Though I LOVE Chair, I did just see the finale and am still a little nauseous from all of the character assassinations. Just happy to know that the Vampire Diaries writers actually like their characters, so I'm excited to see the Delena relationship evolve next season!
I don't think he's dead - the press release for next season said Blair, Serena, AND Chuck we're all in Paris for the first 2 episodes of next season.
But i think he deserves to lay in that alleyway for a while...or more accurately, the entire writing staff of Gossip Girl deserve to lay in that alleyway for a while.
