  1. What a Difference a Day Makes - 100th episode

I just rewatched the episode and I just wanted to mention one scene that I don't think anyone has said anything about here yet, that I think was one of the most well written and beautiful moments ever in Grey's. And that's a big call.

When Lexie teared up when fixing the surviving graduation girl's central line and the girl said, "You're crying." And Lexie looked back and said, "You're breathing."

We always discuss the big moments in episodes, the 'life changing' ones like the proposal or the wedding or whatever- but I just wanted to mention that one. It was truly a brilliant piece of writing and acting.

  2. Here's to the Future/Now or Never: season finale

I don't think that will happen. That will officially put Grey's into the world of terrible soap operas and Shonda is so much better than that.

  3. What a Difference a Day Makes - 100th episode

I don't cry easily. I especially don't cry about television shows. But I just sobbed. Like I just walked downstairs after watching that episode and sobbed in my boyfriend's arms. I think he thinks there is something really wrong with me and I'm not just crying about Grey's...but that episode just killed me. Omg.

Amazing. Unbelievable. Perfect. Alex just totally overtook Derek in the dreamy stakes. He has grown so much, into such an incredible man. And Izzy has never been my favourite character, but right now, the prospect of her dying has me torn apart. I am really starting to think they are going to kill her off and they can't. I just discovered tonight that in the face of losing her, I love her!

The wedding was so beautiful! I love Mer and Alex's friendship and that she was his 'best man'. I love Izzy and Cristina's friendship. I love Bailey. I love that George walked Izzy down the isle. I loved that Derek gave Meredith the solo surgery. I loved that the Chief was so proud of her.

I adore Callie. I love the Callizona. I love Owen and Cristina.

Just...I'm back in love with Grey's. Not that I didn't love it before, but you know, I am back in the kind of love that makes you all giddy :p

    100th episode = perfection

  4. Merideth Shepard??

She will be his wife, that's a pretty huge connection! I don't think you need a tangible symbol of the marriage for everyone to see, but I do think she will wear a wedding band. She isn't wearing the big diamond ring because that isn't her (and it was hit with the baseball bat etc etc), but I think they will both wear a wedding band once they are married.

I think Grey-Shepherd sounds weird...like it is describing a Shepherd as grey in colour. Too wordy for a hyphenated last name!

  5. Merideth Shepard??

I'm in two minds about this- on one hand, Meredith is not really the type to change her name when she gets married. I mean she isn't a 'ring bride' and she isn't a 'wedding bride' and she is a bit of a feminist and proud of her independence. My immediate thought would be it isn't really her character to change her name.

But- she doesn't have any real familial connection to her last name. Grey is Thatcher's name. Grey is Ellis's name. They weren't her family, but Derek is her family.

And then I think, it is 'Grey's Anatomy'- the protagonist of Grey's can't be Meredith Shepherd, right?

  6. No Good at Saying Sorry

Will someone please give Pompeo an Emmy? She was phenomenal last night, some of the best acting I have seen her do in five seasons. James Pickens was great too.

    Things I liked this episode:

    - The Chief and Meredith scenes. I really really relate to their weird relationship in my own life and empathised so much. I was in tears. It was so well written and acknowledged that only by dealing with the magnitude of what actually happened from a child's eyes, could Mer ever let him in.

    - Izzie's Mum. Again- I really related to this story line. Mothers with serious cases of arrested development is something I can hop on board with. I loved how it showed what an amazing person Izzie is, that she can look past her mother's shortcomings and still love her and understand her and even be her support, when her mother should really be there supporting her. But Izzie gets that her mother is doing the best she can and Sharon Lawrence's acting was awesome. Katherine Heigl and Lawrence had a great chemisty

    - Meredith's face when she saw Derek in the suit at the beginning! *heart melts*

    - Arizona and Callie! I never hated this coupling (I thought it was kind of random in the beginning) but I wasn't completely overjoyed with it. I think they are my second favourite couple after MerDer now. When Arizona said she would still love Callie and understand if she told her family they had broken up? Too cute.

    - Callie and Mark's friendship, as usual, is awesome and one of my favourite parts of the show.

    - How Meredith dealt with Thatcher. In years gone past she would have just stormed out or she would have taken him at his word and given him a chance. I don't think he deserves one from her, especially when he stumbles around and has to read out his apology! That is not from the heart. He needed to do way better than that and even then, I wouldn't want to see Mer just forgive. I liked that she was respectful and spoke to him calmly and left and dealt with it like an adult.

    - Derek and the Chief. It was great to see Derek agree to be on Mer's side, even if he didn't agree. Derek and the Chief's conversation was a fabulous scene.

    - Lexie and Mark were cute tonight. Mark is growing up and it is fun to watch.

Wow- tonight was a full on night of realisations and big moments! I loved it! Bring on 100!

  7. No Good at Saying Sorry

That Ausiello spoiler isn't necessarily to with Grey's though...but it does sound like Cristina is pregnant again and there have been a couple of other spoilers alluding to that recently. I really really REALLY hope she isn't though. I like the Cristina/Owen relationship but I just don't find it believable that Cristina could seriously fall pregnant twice by accident. She is a freakin' doctor! She is extremely smart, always meticulous, always thinking a few steps ahead, always prepared and she cares about her career and she doesn't want a kid right now. It doesn't take a genius to use contraception and if they didn't use contraception, the morning after pill? Or at least acknowledge on the show that she realised she had unprotected sex and that could possibly be a future problem. Add to all of this, it has happened before- I think she should have learnt her lesson.

I understand unplanned pregnancies happen, but she seriously has to be completely oblivious for it to happen twice when all those above things are taken into consideration. I just don't think it fits her character or personality at all.

  8. Lexie Grey been eating A LOT

They're not going to write it in now, Chyler is due to give birth in like 2 weeks. I think all the food is just a joke at Chyler's expense, especially now that if you really look for it, it is near impossible for them to hide the pregnancy now except for doing face shots. I think its pretty funny

  9. McBaby?!

I am so psyched! I just knew that Ellen was pregnant and I really hope they write it in. I have always thought Mer and Der would have a girl first (but I do like the twins idea too) and they would give her a strong name with a cute nickname. I could imagine Derek wanting to name a daughter something kind of cutesy and frilly like Lily or Lucy or Olivia and Meredith completely rejecting the idea of giving any daughter of hers a 'princessy' name. So a compromise would be a serious full name with a cute nickname- I am thinking something like Vivienne and then calling her Vivi. Vivi Shepherd would be too cute.

Umm. Yes. I think Ellis or Carolyn would be contenders for a middle name but I can't see the first name being after someone. I can't imagine Shonda being overly sentimental like that when choosing the name for the McBaby

  10. Outside Seattle Grace

Okay, I don't have a full ten but here goes:

Harry and Charlotte - Sex and the City

    House and Cuddy - House

Luke and Lorelai - Gilmore Girls

    Phoebe and Mike - Friends

    Monica and Chandler - Friends

    Abby and Luka - ER

I have to say, I never really got the Ross and Rachel love in Friends. Maybe because Ross annoyed me as a character, but I just didn't think they were 'meant to be' like the rest of the world seems to. I was always kind of cheering for a proper Joey and Rachel relationship. I also just cannot fully jump on board the Carrie and Big train. Sex and the City is my second favourite show of all time (and was my number one for years before I discovered Greys) and it was always Carrie and Aidan for me- always. Big is a jerk.
