In the Realm of the Basses

Breexoxo, I totally agree that something is going to have to happen to Blair for Chuck to tell her he loves her.

Chuck and Blair must be together ! They are perfect and meant to be but I have a feeling its going to get dragged on and on until the very end of the season :( But yeah...THEY MUST BE TOGETHER ! (L)

So, pretty much, I will be depressed if Chuck jumps. Him and Blair need each other. They are completely perfect for each other. If Chuck Bass dies, a part of me dies with him. :(

As both a C/B supporter and an angst lover, I have to admit that I hope we don't get any Chair resolutions this season. Classic, iconic television/pop culture couples (Rhett/Scarlet, Mulder/Scully, Buffy/Angel) *never* get their storybook ending early on - if ever - and, imho, that's a good thing. Without something to look forward to (ie. our favourite couple doing the on again-off again dance), viewers' interest starts to flag. I don't know about most of you, but I like to check in every week in the hopes of catching an unexpected Chair moment. If C/B work through all of their issues, make up, make out, and are then permanently joined at the hip...meh. The expectation and excitement fizzles.
I'm actually looking forward to Blair (hopefully) snagging the attention of someone else, and Dan would be an excellent choice. We've already seen how B/N interact - B/D would be fresh, new, and show us a totally different dynamic between those characters. Do I forsee any kind of real romance there, though? No. I do believe that Chair is destiny - the dangling carrot for all of us C/B fans to stay loyal - but that doesn't mean it's a pairing that shouldn't encounter a few more significant bumps along the way. A B/D pairing would also slam into Serena and Chuck with the force of a thunderbolt, knocking S out of Aaron's arms, and C out of his apathetic, fake indifferent, emo-tude. I mean seriously - who hates Brooklyn more than Charlie Trout? Seeing his beloved B draped all over D would *infuriate* Chuck! Can you imagine the scene with him storming off to confront the pair, to kick D to the curb, to reclaim his lady? Hello, swoon-age!
Heh, and now that I've rambled on about something that would probably be better suited to another thread, I'll finish off with a plea for Jan. 5th to get here asap, for RotB to have some wonderfully agonizing C/B scenes, and for the Chair angst to continue all throughout the season - and many seasons to come. Remember, it's like B said, "there's a certain excrutiating pleasure" in waiting for what you truly desire!

OMG Furygirl...you just pointed out what could possibly be a major spoiler...the Blair quote to Chuck during one of the last episodes, "there's a certain excrutiating pleasure" in waiting for what you desire...I wonder if the writers were telling us we're going to get the happy CHAIR ending but they're gonna torture us first.
I've said this b4...Blair and Chuck can do anyone they want, as long as the writers end the series with them running off into the sunset, living happily ever after.

Yesterday I was watching some LM interviews and GG Revealed extracts and found caught a very interesting moment. Leighton Meester was asked about Chair relationship, and told that they fulfill each other, Chuck needs Blair and Blair needs Chuck, they are completing each other. So...they must be 2gether!!!!

i agree with da people that think something has to happen to blair for chuck to admit he loves her and i read spoilers idk if they are 100 percent true but they make sense well last season blairs bullimia came to her when she was having great stress so they say that blairs bullimia will come up again cuz all this chuck stress and chuck finds out about her having bullimia and starts talking about how hill stand by her forever

I agree with Furygirl and Emmie here. Chuck said 'maybe in the future' and Blair said' there can be some excruciating pleasure in that'. We will see them together but remember the inside source said that their dance has just begun. Damn I love them! They are like Rhett/Scarlett, Syndey/Vaughn, Ralph/Maggie, Mulder/Sculley all those love torn characters that we just love to pine for!

Kathy, you are sooo right! (P.S. I love how you brought up Syndey/Vaughan-I miss that show!) I must admit; I am most likely way to 'old' to be watching this show and my husband makes fun of me all the time for my 'obsession' of watching every Monday-Funny how he actually watches it with me right before Monday Night Football and being as glued as I am!
I will boycott GG if Chair do not get together!!! The other storylines are mediocre and I would not keep me watching it-even if they attempted to make the other characters more interesting. The show totally maxed out/got lucky with the natural chemistry that Ed and Leighton produce on screen!

No worries, Ditto - I'm a old married grrl, too. Age shouldn't dictate whether you enjoy a well-crafted show, especially such a fun one like GG. At first glance, it may seem purely directed at a more youthful demographic, but with the racy storylines, snappy dialogue, and wide variety of age groups represented in the cast, I think it was designed to capture a much more diverse fan base (which it obviously has!). ^_^
And my hubby used to tease as well - until he started watching right along with me. He's since learned to enjoy the comedic elements of the show, and, as I expected, he really gets a kick out of Chuck's character (they share a similar sense of humour). As for Blair's eating disorder - I, like several previous posters, really hope we start to see a larger storyline involving that. Aside from a few tiny snippets, it's an issue that's really gone unspoken, and a plot device that's pretty much been ignored.
And was I the only one who wondered if Jack Bass would register on the potential Blair-hookup radar? Blair hanging around both Bass Inc. and the Bass house, trying to convince Chuck to see her, forced to deal with Jack - yet another infamous womanizer - on a regular basis because of Chuck's avoidance... Could make for some interesting possibilities.

Blair: Just because we can't be together doesn't mean I don't love you.
