It's a Wonderful Lie
-
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Nate's hyprocrisy in all of this V/N/J drama. He looks down on Jenny for publicly humiliating Vanessa, but had no problem confronting and attacking Chuck in broad daylight over sleeping with Blair. Pot calling the kettle black, no?
I think the episode was good, but perhaps too much excitement was built up over it. The Chuck-Blair bet and the Blair-Dorota scenes were awesome though--I'm still laughing over it.

The episode was great.
Dorota was great. I totally love. Her expression was worth a 1,000 words.
Blair was great as usually.
Derena were cute. For first time in a while I did not find the annoying. They had good chemistry.
Nate: He is in and out of love so fast.
Lily: I was not happy with her. I think she is very selfish. She shouln’t always run to her ex-lover. It is not fair to her kids. She is on husband number 4. Did she learn anything? Don’t get me wrong Bart was wrong, but usually someone is wrong in a relationship and people work at it. Bart was never an extra happy type of person and she new that before she married him. Imagine her longest marriage was 16 months. I think Eric was really getting adjusted. In fact, from my observation Chuck was really becoming a big brother to him. Serena and Chuck also were bonding in their own way. I was not happy that Chuck her what their conversation. They have kids in the same circle. I do not think she was thinking of how it would affect them.
Chuck: He was great, but I am already heartbroken knowing that he is going to go through a tough time.
On many levels I see him blaming himself he may think he killed both his parents. He dad had just expressed disappointment at him opening up the safe and he actually asked his dad to get to the ball ASAP. He is going to need a lot of mending. I hope his friends can help him through the hard times to come. I hope he will open up to Blair at some point. He probably will need some professional help also.

Episode was a little overrated with the previews. I was expecting A LOT more to go on, after all sweeps is coming up.
Blair and Chuck, I'm getting a little tired of this whole game thing, when will they just get over themselves and become a couple?
Lily and Rufus still confuse me a little, perhaps since we still don't know their history quite well enough yet, but I'm interested in seeing the relationship unravel.
The love triangle between Nate Jenny and Vanessa disappointed me. I really wanted to see Nate and Jenny together. I can't blame Jenny for going Highs school on Vanessa, she is after all only 15, she has a lot of growing up to do still.
The Serena and Dan awkwardness was a little cute, but I definitely saw that coming. They are to Gossip Girl like Summer and Seth were to The OC. They just have to be together, plus it would be super awkward on set if the real life Blake and Pen couple had to watch each other make out with other super hot actors.
Finally, as everyone predicted Bart was in an accident. Wonder where this is going? Opening yet another door to some drama that is Rufus and Lily.
I was expecting way more out of the episode, but I was still a little teary eyed when Vanessa professed her feelings to Nate, much to my disapproval. I'd rate the episode a 7 out of 10.

Well said, gg fan. Chuck will undoubtedly be psychologically and emotionally scarred after this--not only did he stir trouble between his father and Lily, resulting in their marital problems, but he also urged him to come to the ball, resulting (apparently) in Bart's death. I would be VERY surprised if Chuck didn't pull away from everyone (ESPECIALLY Blair, since he cares for her so much) around him as an act of self-preservation--a sort of, "I'm better off alone" type thing.
The scene where Chuck lashes out at Dan in the cemetery in 2x13 is probably his attempt to confront Dan (and thus displace some of his guilt) over Rufus's "involvement" in Bart's death.

Okay i did not have a chance to watch tonights episode and i kind of hav an idea as to what went on in thw comments above, but i would really appreciate it if someone told me what happened

just want to share my thoughts before i read other people's comments:
i absolutely love dorota. she is too cute for words. i pity her that she has to be stuck in the middle of c/b's games. but it just goes to show how much chuck knows how important dorota is to blair. and how willing blair is to stake alot for this chance at a "relationship" with chuck.
i just dont understand why chuck is still resisting! blair is basically telling chuck that they should just give the relationship thing a try ALREADY. For real this time. i just dont know what else needs to be done to get this two together.
chuck/blair and dorota scene is so cute. as well as the blair and dorota scenes. cant get enough of these 3. i say more more more.
its just a shame that bart has to be sacrificed to add more drama to this series. i kinda learned to like him this season.
no one is outright good or outright bad in this show anymore and im glad. i think thats what makes it so interesting.
im glad vanessa finally got dirty for a change and somewhat redeemed herself in this episode. ok. i admit i didnt like that she stole the letter in the first place and there is absolutely nothing that could make that act alright in any angle but im glad she owed up to her mistake/moment of evil.
jenny siding with those mean girls --- tsk tsk tsk --- this girl never learns. but im happy for the drama and the change in allegiance.
im not sure if nate choosing vanessa is a good thing. but nate is again being fickle with his feelings. one episode he is for this girl next episode he is all for the other girl. i just hope this will be for keeps. because i dont think i will respect him if he changes his mind Again.
serena and dan, dan and serena. what can i say? their issue is unresolved just like their parents.
i have to admit -- i dont like lily on this episode. she was a total bitch to bart. if she will hook up with rufus so soon after bart's death, it will just be so trashy and ruin her reputation so badly.
i feel bad for chuck. i also feel bad for blair. i dont understand why their story is being dragged on and on and on and on... come on! enough already! i love them the best but im getting tired of how slowly their story is developing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
overall -- i think each episode is saturated that it is not letting each story arc breathe. thats what i think has been missing. this season atleast with the last few episodes, i observed that a lot was being sacrificed so that each story can be crammed in a 40+ minute show. there is just too much going on and so little time. that i hardly can keep up with everything to the point that im just being left unsatisfied with the show in general.
i just wish the gg writers will layoff with the story branching out all over the place. i just want to see a good solid show. please.
My thoughts on tonight:
First of all, this episode got too much hype. We all knew what was gonna happen with the "accident" so it overall disapointed me that nothing else really happened.
Serena/Dan/Aaron/Lexi: God, this episode wsa centered around this! I dont really care how serena and dan aren't over each other and how they're taking their time sleeping with other people! This felt like the main story line to me, when it shouldn't have. I can't stand aaron, he should have been the one to die.
Chuck and Blair: k, I'm the biggest chair fan in the world,and i thought all their scenes were adorable! I loved how their picks for each other ended up together, that wsa adorable. I did hope for more of Chair though, and their dance scenes seemed too much about Blair complaining about Chuck than about them being in love. I'm still hoping for more chair action in the up and coming episodes!
Lily/Rufus/Bart: Lily needs to stop hanging onto Rufus! And ruining her marriages. I mean, she immediately runs to Rufus all the time, and I know what Bart did was wrong, but going to a kids ball with your ex lover was sorta sad.
Bart's Accident: though everyone saw it coming, it was still fun to watch, and I'm curious how the accident happened. The next episode looks amazing, I see a lot of chuck scenes coming on! I hope he goes to blair for help, that'll be sweet!
Jenny/Vanessa/Nate: Okay, I hate both Jenny and Vanessa, but what Vanessa did was evil, and Nate shoudln't have forgiven her, or been so mean to jenny about the see through dress thing. personally im sick of this story line, and am hoping they'll stop going on and on about it.
B-o-r-i-n-g. They could have done better.
I love the music, though.
jenny is a prostitot
and all you ppl saying that vanessa is the mean one and how her and nate were never an item,
put yourself in her position
if a good friend of yours goes with a guy youve had a thing for for a long time, you will be pissed and angry, im pretty sure 98% of you would not have given the letter back to nate and confessed
soo think for a bit cuz jennys a hoe
and nanessa is a muuuuuch better looking couple than J/N and you know what else theyre about the same age also so no one goes to jail!!!
Blair: Just because we can't be together doesn't mean I don't love you.
