Man, as much as I hate to say this, I actually enjoyed this episode a little - minus the Blair/Nate. Stepford!Blair is not appealing. But the epi was okay. Mostly because I think it was good for Chuck.

It showed that Chuck's character is still changing and developing, which I think he needed just a bit more of before he can be that guy that Blair really needs right now. And I think his selflessness in his convo with Nate made him realize how much both Chuck and Blair have changed and grown, and how they are meant to be. I mean, that whole conversation could have gone so differently. Instead of making it all about himself and how he was wronged, like the old Chuck would have, he made it about Blair. It showed that he cares enough to put someone other than himself first, and this time it wasn't just something he showed to Blair or himself. And I think that it's freaking Nate out. I truly think in the end he was going to tell Blair that he really isn't the right one for her. But right now, that would make him the odd man out, the one who would be left behind. He has publicly burned and humiliated every single person who was ever close to him, including his family. I think Nate is like a wounded puppy, needing someone to care for the wounds he has caused himself with all his recent douchebaggery. And right now, Blair is the only one showing full interest in him. He's an attention whore, he can't stand when the focus isn't completely on him. He broke up with Blair because her attention was also on Chuck the first time around. Ended things with Vanessa the first time because she was tending to Humphrey's wounds. The cougar, well, we'll forget her. Jenny was too consumed with her fashion line, so he abandoned her. And then Vanessa again, she showed interest in Chuck. He feels like he's really screwed up, and he feels a need to feel needed and wanted. I think that's the only reason he changed his mind in the end and didn't say anything to Blair. She's giving him what he needs.

And as much as it also pains me to say this, I think I see why Blair/Nate had to happen. Right now, based on tonights epi and the previews for next week (coupled with spoilers), they are reverting to season one, from basically the beginning. Neither Blair or Chuck are really the forgive-and-forget type. That's been proven time and time again. They both hurt each other so badly. And I think this revert is a way from them to restart, just like Blair and Nate are attempting to restart (EPIC FAILURE, might I add?). I think once they fall into the way things were before everything got soooooo screwed up and realize the real reasons they started to care for each other, that all the pieces will fall together. Them reverting back and starting again is a way for them to try again and get it right.

But yes. Obviously, I'm a huge Chair fan. I'm not one of those over zealous ones though, but this is just my opinion and my optimistic point of view. So don't hate me. ;)

This was a really, really good episode. It may not have been the most dramatic (by GG standards) but I have a feeling this episode is going to be pivotal for taking us into the changes we'll see from here until the finale. I loved seeing the interaction between Chuck/Jenny and Chuck/Nate. Those were both classic GG moments. Blair has annoyed me since she started throwing herself at Nate and not just because I'm a chair fan. She's just so whiny and clingy with Nate. Now that we are seeing the evolution of Chuck, I'm really looking forward to how Blair's evolution turns out.

Also, really interested to see what is going to happen with Chuck and the Van Der Woodsen/Humphrey's when the love child turns up.

I'm hoping Blair and Chuck finally get together and sort things out. Next episode looks like their holding handsWink

But.. was it just me or was this seder really boring? The only good part of this episode was when Chuck was talking to Nate. Hopefully the finale makes up for the past few episodes because they've become repetitive and dull.

Not looking forward to G coming back though, I can't stand her.

So here's to hoping Blair & Chuck figure things out.. byebye Nate / Blair

i thought this episode was really good. it showed that chuck is a decent human being, and he was so sweet to jenny. the grandfather being involved with nate's dad's arrest was an interesting plot twist, but i was kind of disappointed when they made amends at the end. and nair isn't really that bad this time around. i was laughing like there was no tomorrow during the passover seder. eleanor and cyrus are hilarious. and, thank you writers, for showing that dan isn't a total ahole and isn't totally over serena. whenever they broke up he would always move right on to a random and it always seemed out of character. just cut gabriel out of the episode and we're all good to go.

and i'm glad to see that the writers listened and gave us the old dan and the old chuck. even if he's not with blair, at least he wasn't moping around in a business suit and acting like he's forty. dan is sarcastic again. hooray! and the heart to heart between nate and chuck and blair and serena was very gg worthy and reminded us that they actually are friends.

I completely agree with 'thealmightyryan' and 'lelizm'! This episode was pretty decent. I dislike Nair but I do understand why it happened. The Nair parts I couldn't careless about but everything else was fun to watch. Chuck & Jenny scenes were really necessary & I'm glad that pilot issue was finally addressed. The Serena storyline is actually kind of interesting so I'm excited to watch her plot as well as Georgina returning and CB scenes again!!
