The Age of Dissonance

I hated this episode. First of all, the first like five minutes didn't work. It was just weird picture with a weird static noise. All my friends that watch it said they had the same problem. I was royally pissed. But seriously, that's the best they could do after a six week break?
They just jumped right in. I had no idea what was going on. And Serena... WTF? I don't see her gonig for a guy like that at all. That doesn't seem like her. And since when are Vanessa and Serena such good friends? I know they're cool, but where did this come from? I liked them as friends though. I'd love to see more of that.
Oh, and Nate and Vanessa bore me. A lot. I'm really looking forward to them breaking up. I think Nate should kinda switch roles with Chuck. He's been through a lot. The family issues, losing Blair, getting crushed by Serena, and now he's gonna lose Vanessa. I wanna see him go crazyyy. It'd be awesome.
Blair and Chuck. I liked Blair. And I'm so excited Chuck is going to fight for her. I still hate that whole Nanny thing though. It was totally random and I didn't get it at all. But if it made him realize he should be with Blair I guess it's cool. I'm sad that Nate and Blair are gonna have a thing or whatever. They just need to move on. Like I said, Nate should go be the crazy party guy. And Blair should be with Chuck. Of course, you gotta throw in some excitement there. Her having trust issues with him, pushing him away cause her life's falling apart, etc.
And Dan. Well just glad Miss Carr is gone. Props to him for doing something totally out of context for him, but really? The teacher? Lame. Haha. And I was totally weirded out how him and Serena were like perfectly fine. I didn't get it. Wouldn't that be totally awkward?
Basically, I just didn't like this episode. But next week looks really good. I'm looking forward to it. Give Little J and Eric some action!

It was nice to see chuck get played & realize that what he was looking for was there all along--and it ain't the nanny.
IMO, Nate really shined in this episdoe. I laughed so hard when he broke down in the middle of play.

question - what was the name of the song playing while dan and rachel were in the costume closet?

I have to agree with Crystal the Nanny thing was annoying. It this point I do not know if I am routing for Chair. It is only after he gets rejected that he remember Blair.
I did not like the way Blair lost Yale. It was very sad. I thought it was an over kill. I would have refered if for some reason she had to scarfice for something she loved more.
The actors did well. I also think Nate shined. I thought the storyline would have been bet.ter

I was once again reminded what a fabulous actor Ed Westwick. I sort of felt sorry for him when Elle left, but that whole storyline just pissed me off so much it was hard to get genuine affection. And I'm sort of annoyed he is only going after Blair because Elle rejected him and told him to give his heart to someone who cares. But then agin, it DID make him realize what's important. I was so happy when he showed up at her aprtment. Despite all he's done, I have to love him. SO EXCITED he will fight for Blair. But if he gives up after a couple episodes (cuz he has a tendancy to do that) I swear I will strangle someone.
I laughed so hard when Julian told Serena he was gay. I actually didn't mind Serena in this episode. Usually she annoys the hell out of me. But i could possibly like her now. Wspecially if she is going to be helping Chuck get Blair back ;)
I loved when Nate ruined the play. It was hilarious. He did something yay! I laughed. Vanessa, she still annoys me. it wasn't her worst episode though.
I felt so bad for Blair when she didn't get into Yale! It's so not fair. I almost couldn't believe when she said though "everyone is jealous of me because I'm perfect" I was like wow, really? But it was good seeing her old self a bit. I don't know how I feel about her sudden realization. She's going to get into some bad stuff. I mean I'm glad she is realizing the things she does aren't exactly good, but still. Carter Baizen. Seriously? Maybe that's all she feels she deserves now. I'm really worried about her.
Dan did something likeable tonight. He got rid of Rachael and ratted her out. Good for him! But for being with her in the first place, still not exactly likeable. I couldn't understand why Serena didn't care that he told Rachael about the press release though.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!
I actually enjoyed this episode quite a bit. Worth the 6 week break, maybe no, but good anyway.

I Am seriously confused. There was a promo with Chuck and Blair (yay!) There were pics of Nate and Blair (again...) and Carter and Blair (ICK!) And please dont tell me Chuck is going to be with Vanessa. What was with that elevator scene in the promo? I was so mad!! And are Dan and Serena even a couple anymore? WHAT IS HAPPENING?!? I cant wait for the 19th episode next monday!

I can't stop feeling sorry for Chuck, which I think says a lot about Ed Westwick as an actor.
Serena's crush on the director was a bit of a bore, which made me laugh heartily when he was like "I'm gay!"
Seeing Nate angry over the director's comments, him sitting with Vanessa after she was coaching Serena, was awesome. Especially when he ruined the show. I also had to laugh that the New York Times critic looked happier when he broke character.
Yeah, Blair losing Yale was overkill, but I loved her chewing out Nelly Yuki and everyone whipping out their phones for the message from Gossip Girl.

Blair: Just because we can't be together doesn't mean I don't love you.
