Lady GaGa describes her 'Gossip Girl' 'Crazy Performance-Art Piece'
'I am trying to say something that is not mainstream in a mainstream capacity,' Gaga says of her cameo on the CW show.So far, "Gossip Girl" castmembers have given only vague details about what fans should expect from Lady Gaga's appearance on the show. But finally, Gaga herself was willing to give us the scoop on her November 16 cameo and why she decided to do it. "First of all, my sister's a huge fan, and she's 17 years old. So when I called her and said 'Gossip Girl' wants to put my whole new album on the show and have me perform, she was like 'Oh my God, you have to do it. It's an amazing show,' " Gaga told MTV News. "And I'd seen it. It's a great show." Of course, Gaga didn't want her time on the show to be a stereotypically awkward musical-guest appearance on a TV show. She wanted it done the Gaga way. "I hate TV series performances, because they kind of come in out of nowhere, and everyone's, like, really into the story, and then all of a sudden somebody breaks into song," she said. "And it has nothing to do with the storyline, and then it screws everything up." Rather than showing up on the set for the day, Gaga met with the writers and producers first to make sure she was doing a performance that she felt comfortable with. "I really sat down with the writers," she said. "I was like, 'Look, I want to do this, and the reason I want to do this is because I am trying to say something that is not mainstream in a mainstream capacity. So, if I can say it on your show, that would be, like, a real coup d'état for me as a performance artist.' " The result sounds like an elaborate music video. "I am the narrator behind what is going on with the characters and make the song part of the moment," she explained about the "crazy performance-art piece." "We used these ladders, and I'm falling off ladders. Ladders are kind of a monster symbol about bad luck. And I have this 35-foot-long dress on and these X's, very gothic-inspired. It was great. Sounds interesting. I would've loved to see a scene where Chuck is there too and Blair discovers that 'Lady GaGa' was one of Chuck's early conquests too. It'd provide for a great scene between CB and wouldn't be that unrealistic since Gaga/Stefani G. grew up in or went to school in the UES, more or less. lol!

We have to what two weeks can you believe it! Un-freakin believable. I'm so loving the Serena Trip romance! this is the only reason why this would be my favorite season.

I actually really like the Dan and Vanessa romance they are starting. The flashback to the kiss was very well done I got to say. I felt bad for the poor Dan in love with his best friend and not his girlfriend. You could see the chemistry with Penn and Jessica. I think its the ONLY couple from the book I would like to see happen.
Serena and Tripp is killing me. I feel like bashing Serena's head on the wall. She is 18 and messing around with a congressman. She has barly moved on from Carter. Now Nate is thrown in, and I'm unsure about how I would feel about them being together.
I got to say the play was so FUNNY!
Chuck had the funniest line, saving Jenny. "I'm Chuck Bass."

Finally! a bit of progress.
Blair was great in this episode. She is moving forward and is establishing herself at college- please leave Constance behind. And she's finally making some headway! I did not mind that Chuck wasn't there at her show, its good that she arranged it all by her self. Don't get me wrong, I love Chair and look forward to really good upcoming scenes with the 2 of them together. I think what impresses me about Chuck so far this season is that he is actually maturing as a character... he still has all the great and clever lines but is acting like an adult.
Oh Serena... you already know that there is no future with Tripp so why even go there? And, Nate is right, a few episodes ago she was in love with Carter... now getting it on with a married man... and a politician? She and Tripp are cheating regardless of the current state of his marriage... there were no blurred lines he's still married!
I will say thank goodness there was no Nate and Serena reconnect. We do not need to see everyone hooking up with everyone else in the show.
Jenny is trying too hard... again. They should have let her get arrested for drug possession... I could already picture her mug shot... with her smugged and excessive eye makeup. That European guy is bad news. But, I suppose since Jenny has no friends she needs some excitement.
What ever happened to Serena's dad's letter? Do we think Lily kept it from her? And, who's betting she opened and read it?
Oh gosh! Dan and V... a couple??? The only pairing more boring than Dan and Olivia... would be Dan and Vanessa. And, Nate was right that the 3rd person in a 3some should be a stranger... if Olivia were smart, they should have set some ground rules where Dan would not have been allowed to touch Vanessa... Olivia could touch (or do whatever she wanted to) either Dan or Vanessa but Dan and Vanessa weren't supposed to do anything thing to eachother. The other would watch while Olivia did her thing with whoever. There you have it my rules for a successful couples 3some.
Was anyone else bothered by Dan's chest hair in this episode? a little out of control. And, Dan's character is turning into a bit of a tool.
Lady GaGa was and is awesome! Bravo Gossip Girl for snagging her.
