Anyone here missing Nate & Chuck's friendship??

    I love Tanya-P's post.  It's exactly how I feel about the Chuck/Nate friendship.  Chuck kind of idolizes Nate and that's one reason why he's never allowed himself to be angry at Nate.  I also think Chuck is grateful to have Nate as a friend because the impression I've always had is that Chuck doesn't HAVE alot of friends.  However, at the same time I also think Chuck kind of resents and is jealous of Nate much the same way Blair resents and is jealous of Serena.  It makes the relationship complicated.  I'm more of Chuck fan than a Nate fan so I tend to see things from his perspective, but I think it's pretty indisputable that Chuck has tried to be there for Nate over and over again.  He's done Nate wrong on a few occassions (hooking up with Blair only 40 minutes after Nate/Blair had broken up) but in general he's been extremely loyal to him.  One thing that astounds me is that he didn't hold it against Nate when Nate decided to give it a try with Blair again, even though he KNEW Chuck was still in love with her. (At least when Chuck was pursuing Blair Nate's feelings were pretty confused - largely focused on Serena most of the time). 

    So anyway, I do miss their friendship but I'd like to see it repaired instead of having the stuff that's happened in the past completely ignored. Hell, I'd just like Chuck to have one other person in his life for emotional support other than Blair.  I'd like that to be Nate, but I'm not holding my breath.
